The Tale of the Forgotten - RP

Zeria gasped and forced herself to her feet, the Punisher scraping against the ground as she ran at him.

"I'm the ONLY Zeria Iiyasei! DON'T FORGET IT, EVER!"

She launched herself at him and released 3 Cross Slashes, then ripped the Punisher down his back. Zeria would NOT stand for being told she wasn't herself. Her loyalty is what caused her to hold back, but now, she didn't care anymore. She didn't care who it was, she wasn't standing for this kind of disrespect.

"Don't EVER turn your back on me!"

Now, the blade was merely an inch from his back...

Suddenly a blinding flash illuminated the room, the sound of a blade being unsheathed echoed through the chamber. In a blink of an eye, Julius drew his blade and blocked Zeria's multiple Cross Slash attacks. Her swords were deflected and pushed away from their target, and there he was, standing before a complete stranger. "Acting by blind rage as usual...your reckless acts will lead to your downfall Zeria..."

"MY DOWNFALL?! MY DOWNFALL?!"

She pressed the blades tighter together.

"You can't even begin to imagine the hell I've been through! You won't even believe how much I suffered when I lost you!"

Zeria's energy levels ramped up and her eyes turned crimson red, flashing with rage and sorrow at the same time, as she strengthened the pressure of her blade.

"I loved you! I followed you loyally, but all you did was push me away and hide things from me! You say it was because you wanted to protect me, but from what?! What was there to protect me from?!"

The young knight was confused, he didn't knew the identity of this woman and was now hearing her saying she loved him. Julius, with a cold look on his face, fixed his eyes on Zeria's. He then turned his sight away from hers, and stared to the floor. "Love will not save you...." Julius approached Zeria and the stopped mere inches away from her. "How can you love and hate someone at the same time?" He kept tempting his fate, getting even closer to Zeria. "Come and strike me down, I dare you..." He reached the handle of his blade and prepared for any reaction.

Zeria's growl became deeper...more frightening...

"You just WANT me to hurt you!"

She leapt away, throwing her blades down and attempting to calm down. Her voice wavered and she choked back sobs as she spoke.

"I followed you for so long...as much as I could. In the end, all I wanted to do was protect you, but it never worked out that way...you always ended up protecting me........."

Her eyes went back to a soft greenish-yellow.

"You know I won't kill you, Julius...I can't kill you...I am sworn by my honor to not harm you. I've already broken the code already, I won't break it further. But I at least deserve what little respect you have...I'd put my life on the line for you, and if you don't see it of any value, then fine...kill me right here and now..."

She outstretched her arms, leaving her fully open to any attacks....would he do it?

(I was really tempted to do this....and I think I will)

Julius stood silently before her, so close that he could see deep inside her eyes and discover fear and doubt. He sheathed his blade since he knew that her spirit was already broken, that her will was already shattered and that she wouldn't fight anymore. Suddenly he felt something he couldn't explain, an inexplicably urge to run to Zeria's arms and held her within his arms, to kiss those lips and to cry. Since he didn't knew the source of those feelings, he fought a meaningless battle against his heart and in the end lost. Unexpectedly, Julius ran to Zeria and embraced her. "Forgive me....I just can't....remember anything... I never meant to do you any harm...I just can't tell if I love you or not...I don't know what I am feeling..."

Zeria stood there, taking in what was going on.

"Julius...I...?"

She didn't even bother to continue her sentence, she just wrapped her arms around him and cried. Her heart felt like it was breaking, yet it was so relieved to be this close with his. She buried her face in his chest and tried to hide her tears.

"I'm sorry...I forced my emotions on you...you can't remember anything. I'm so sorry, Julius....can you ever forgive me?"

"It's ok....Zeria...Zeria?" Julius seemed to be regaining part of his lost memory. In a mere instant, random images flashed through his mind, the last one being his own disappearance and then nothing, eternal blackness and confusion. He felt his heart beating wildly, a pressure in his chest as if it were going to explode due to such an unstoppable stream of emotions. "And here I chase my fate again....over and over again....and even if I try not to do it....I am bound to follow this same path...why do you love me? Why?You will abandon me like she did....like Dareisha..." He held her even closer to his chest, his arms wrapped all around her, and he was crying. Tears fell from his eyes and landed softly on Zeria's shoulders.

The drops were cold and wet on her bare skin, but she didn't care.

"I won't ever abandon you, Julius...I could never do that to you. You're the man I swore my eternal loyalty and love to..."

Zeria reached up and brushed away a tear from Julius' eyes. She always had hated it when he cried, especially over her and past memories. She stood there for a long time, just holding onto him and shedding tears.........then it happened. Every last ounce of strength left her body.

"Julius...."

She fell to her knees, sliding from his arms...then collapsed onto the floor, unconscious. The wounds she'd sustained caught up with her...leaving a pool of blood beginning to surround her body...

(Edited)
"Noooooooo!!!"
Julius held her body within his arms, her blood staining his clothes and gloves. He stared at her face, pale and white as the snow, and began to fear the possibility of losing her. Julius then rose, carrying her body and standing before Arthvader. "This is...my fault? I did this....how could I...." Julius sighed, the tone of his voice grew sadder. He desperately searched for a doctor and left Zeria in the care of the castle's nursery. He then backed away from her, still having her blood staining his clothes and hands, and he ran away. He kept running until he stumbled across a room, probably the soldier's chambers, entered it and slammed the door behind him, sealing himself away from everyone.

"How could I....I am a monster...or am I Lucius?"

Taharka stood there rolling his eyes as he beheld the events carried out. He slowly walked over to Zeria's body, looking down on her beaten form.

"How disappointing. I honestly thought he'd kill you... no matter. This is just the first of many struggles."

He strode off towards the door hastily - de-materializing into sand which swept the foyer of his manor - sieving sharply underneath the door of the room Julius locked himself within. Regaining form, he threw himself at Julius, grabbing him by the arms:

"How much do you remember!?"

As the doctors tended to Zeria, she felt every bit. She could hear them too, speaking in hushed and quiet voices as they fixed her up.

"The bleeding is stopped for now...she'll be fine, hopefully"
"Yes, but the X wound will scar..."

"That's the Cross Slash. Of course it will scar"

Zeria groaned and tried to move, but found she was being held by a few doctors.

"Let me...go......."
"Sorry, young miss, but if you do that while they're healing you, it could cause problems"

Her watery eyes fluttered open and she tried to look around, her vision all blurred. She couldn't sense Julius in the room though, which frightened her. Was he leaving her behind again? Did he hate her?

"Julius........"

The young knight began to lose all sense of past, present and future, for his memories began to shatter all over again. His mind was a complete mess, though he remembered slight parts of his own identity, he couldn't tell for sure who he was. After staring to his new master for a few minutes, he turned his sight away from him. "The only thing I know is that my name is Julius...and that somehow I am related to that woman....other than that....nothing..."

Taharka's grip did not loosen until after a few more seconds from when Julius responded. Releasing his iron grip, he stood upright, towering over the fragile man.

"It is... truly a shame you have lost your entire past, however I'm sure it shall all return in time." Turning his comforting expression away from Julius, he turned and took a few steps towards a rather small window - tilting his head to his side whilst still speaking.

"Though there are more... efficient ways of regaining memories than simply relying on time. I can help you."

Zeria groaned once more and pushed away the guards. Her vision was still greatly blurred, but she managed to stumble out of the room and into the hallway.

"If anyone touches me....I will kill them!"

She began to slowly walk down the hallways, bracing herself against the walls. She had to find Julius...to make sure he didn't completely hate her. She didn't like Lord Taharka. He said he was trying to help Julius, but Zeria didn't believe it. He was too cruel to want to help....

"Julius...where are you.......?"

Julius sat on a small wooden chair he found in the room, and then he placed his face on the palm of his hands. He then rose his sight to see Lord Taharka. The confusion that ruled over Julius' mind made the young knight hurt one of his best friends, even though he was not aware of that. "You say you can help me? Very well then....I accept...."

Vex watched the fight between the two warriors unfold. Impressed by the display of skills both of them displayed. "These two deffenitly seem to be capable warriors in thier own right. I can say for myself that any one of these two would be a worthy challenge."

Now watching the final outcome of the fight Vex got up himself and walked out. Following Julius and this Taharka person, after noticing that`Zeria was being stuborn. "Heh she is just to stuborn to take help here, though I would not blame her, this Taharka person seems to be up to something."

Finally arriving at a doorway where he felt a familiar pressence, maybe the pressence of the gem he knocked on the door. "Excuse me lord.Taharka, sorry to come after you, but I believe you did ask to speak with me. I hope that we still have that opprotunity even after that fight there."

A smirk expanded across his handsome face, unbeknownst to Julius, he was extremely overwhelmed at the irony of him joining the ranks of those who tried to kill him some years ago.

"Good. You shall serve well, I surmise. Soon we shall leave this decrepit village to greater regions - where you shall prove your worth."

A rather indistinct voice could be heard from the other side of the locked doors. The one who seemed to possess a similar radiance to Taharka's own... his suspicions had been aroused, but thought nothing of it. His armies saw to that race's decimation decades ago.

"I asked nothing of you" he somehow forced the doors open, as he had done previously "I have merely given you a chance to speak with me. What is it, stranger?"

Vex had a certin feeling sense of uneasiness fall upon him, something soon began to feel not quite right. He could not place it, also a feeling as if his past was trying to call out to him and warn him something. Deciding to take some caution he was thinking carefully how to approach this man.

"Yes so it was, I am sorry for my ignorance. Anyways I wished to talk to you about the strange things occuring in this town. Mainly the sudden decay of the lands around here. It is something unnatural would you not say?"Then further upon the issue Vex took out his sword, though gripping it firmly to prevent anything happening to it. He pointed to the stone that seemed to be embedded into his sword. "I would like to ask you if you happen to know anything of this stone here. While I was in your town earlier I happened to swear I saw one similar to this, yet it was diffrent. With you being lord of this town I thought perhaps you might know something of this?"

"I am the Lord of many locations in this world... I can't be expected to recall everything which happens in them all. I know nothing of these "stones" of that which you speak, nor know of any reason for decay."

He resisted the urge to inquire as to how Vex obtained that particular Gem - for the time, it was imperative that his identity remain in shadow.

"I apologize for being of less help than you possibly hoped, though I wish you luck in your endeavour."
