The Tale of the Forgotten - RP

Arthvader "*coughs* Darn, what just happened??"

As he slowly regained consciousness, Arthvader struggles to stand up. Being severely weakened by Zeria's attack, he saw Zeria up as well, although in a worse condition then he was.

Arthvader "Z.Zeria, are you ok!? Hold on. Phoenix, *cough* heal us with your healing powers."

As the phoenix started the healing process, Arthvader sensed a familiar presence.

'Who can this person be? I feel as if I've known him for a long time.'

Zeria felt Arthvader's pheonix healing her and ran over to Arth.

"Arthvader! Please, tell me you're alright!"

She placed a hand on his shoulder and another on his chest.

"Are you okay? Did I hurt you? Are you damaged internally? Oh, I'm so stupid! I should've just let myself continue to take the damage. Then, you wouldn't have gotten hurt!"

Zeria felt absolutely horrible. It was all her fault that Arthvader had been harmed. Maybe she should just leave again....go off on her own journey...stay away from everyone so they wouldn't get hurt because of her. She was even starting to cry now.

"I'm so sorry..."

Arthvader "Don't worry about it, Zeria. The truth is, all that was damaged was this."

He then showed Zeria his shield, which has gained a major crack down the middle. remembering what he had sensed earlier, Arthvader has ask Zeria to follow him for a while.

Arthvader "Hey, Zeria, did you feel that just now? I think someone is nearby. Want to join me? I think we should head towards the man in charge of this village. I bet he might be able to help us out."

She was kind of confused, but nodded.

"Sure. If you think we should go, then I will go. I don't think the others will miss us. They didn't seem to trust me anyway"

She stood up and stretched, making sure all of her gear was in it's place, before starting to walk.

"Lead the way..."

Taharka's eye was instantly drawn to a gleam coming from a man's hands - the Earth Gem. His brow furrowed as he glared intently at this thief - taking note of his direction of travel.

With a slight flick of his forearm, the roaring fire in his living quarters was extinguished instantly as he walked past it. Although this building was a manor, it was very simplistic for the line of housing in which is falls within; it was essentially a large house.
Collecting his protective attire, he headed for the main hall facing the opposite direction from the fray outside. Walter opened the door, revealing the town guards and a seemingly exhausted traveler.

"... oh? And what have you brought me here - another rebellious peasant?" he remarked, scowling at the strange man.
"There are few punishments for disobedience, boy, but none are anything less than harsh."

"No Lord," one of the guards interrupted - "he seems to be wandering aimlessly. Wanted to pass through the town from what I gather."

His scowl lessened, and warped into a mildly friendly smile. "I see. Unfortunately I have little time to lend you my ear, but perhaps my servant Walter might be of assistance. I must ask that you pardon my abrupt departure, but when need come to must..."

With that, he briskly swept past the three towards the fray - advancing upon the nearing embezzler of the Gem. Without much thought of consideration for those around him, nor the brittle structures, he began to focus his energy into a single area of the village.

The thatched roofs began to rustle, wooden boards lining each house would creak as the strain increased, and the dirt lacing the ground would begin stirring increasingly more vicious - a sandstorm brewed.

Under his breath, he muttered to himself: "And upon beholding a malevolent wind, he looks too hard upon a grain of sand - betraying his interest; blinding the curious scofflaw." As the clouds of dirt subtly intensified, it was soon overwhelming everything around the circumference of 50 meters around Taharka... effectively blinding all but himself. Amongst the blasting sound of the winds, a faint noise of an un-sheathing could be heard.

The clouds dispersed, and slowly settled on the ground from whence they were summoned - revealing naught but spilled blood and the precious Gem. The Earth Gem was now re-captured.

The man was disappointed but at the same time happy that he wasn't forced to face a trial to prove that his intentions here had nothing to do with the rebellious groups from the north. After the brief meeting, the man was thus taken to another chamber in which he would await for either Lord Taharka of Sir Walter. He remained silently, his sight lost among the decorative armors in the manor. The exquisite red fur carpet with golden symbols, the guards, the bookshelves, the candlesticks that hung from the ceiling, and the marvelous view of the whole village from one of the windows.

Soon the man's attention was dragged to a conversation nearby in which he heard that the kingdom was looking for soldiers to join the cause and fight against the rebels. -"Perhaps as a soldier I will be able to rediscover my past...."- He thought to himself, bringing his sight to hallway on his left. The knight stood up and approached one of the guards asking if he could join the army, but they didn't answer. Instead they took him to see Walter was again.

As they arrived at Lord Taharka's place, Arthvader walked in to the building. As he entered, he shouted out loud, hoping someone can answer.

Arthvder "Is the man of this place here? Zeria and I have a question to ask."

Soon two guards, leading a wanderer towards Walter's quarters, arrived. The guards then gave the group the message.

Guards "Sorry, but the lord is not here at the moment. If you must say something, I suggest the two of you come see Sir Walter. As you may know, this guy here is also going to see Sir Walter as well. Now, hurry up and follow us."

The group then followed the guards and the wanderer towards Walter's quarters. As they were heading towards Walter, Arthvader realized that the person that is with the guards is none other Julius.

Arthvader "Wait a minute. Is that you, Julius?"

The man heard a familiar voice from behind, so he turned around to see the source. Before him stood a tall man with strong physical built wearing a hunter's attire.

"Permit me to ask, how did you call me?"

The knight stood clueless before the hunter, hoping to find out something about his past.

Zeria gasped as well and nearly fell over. Tears came to her eyes and she ran forward.

"Sir Julius...w-where have you been?! What happened?! I left for a while, but came back and you were gone! Do you know how worried I was?!"

Something was different about him. He hadn't said a word to Arth and her, or called them by name...something was wrong...

Arthvader, shocked that Julius might have lost his memories, drew out his weapon, holding it with the blade horizontally flat, and swung it vertically very hard on Julius's head, knocking him out.

Arthvader "Sorry if I had to do that, Julius. If you had indeed lost your memory, hopefully this will help you regain them."

The man got on his feet after rubbing the affected area. He was quite disoriented and felt partially dizzy. The man then became really upset but at the same time was greatly confused.

-"Hey, what's the matter with you? Why did you attack me?"-

The knight backed away from Arthvader, and he leaned his back against the wall. He was breathing heavily, still having amnesia and on top of that, he now had a terrible headache.

"Arthvader! What the hell are you doing?!"

She rushed to Julius' side and gently placed her hands on his shoulder.

"Sir Julius, are you alright? Arth didn't hurt you too badly, did he?"

Arth had mentioned something about lost memories, which frightened her.

"Sir Julius, you do know who I am, right?"

Arthvader "Sorry if I did that. It was the first thing I thought of doing in my mind. Anyways, Phoenix, come out and heal him, and if you can, try to regain his memories."

The phoenix started healing Julius where Arthvader wounded him just a few seconds ago.

Arthvader "Zeria, remind me not to do that again, ok."

Julius smiled as he stared at the beautiful young lady. He soon turned his attention to a strange creature that seemed to be healing him.

"Well I rarely forget such beautiful faces....but no lady, I don't have the slightest clue of who might you be."

Julius walked towards an armchair and sat on it. He searched all around him looking for clues about his existence, finally bringing his attention once again to Zeria and Arthvader.

Those words slammed her hard. How could he not recognize her?

"J-Julius! What do you mean?! How do you not know us?! We were comrades for such a long time! You protected me in so many fights and I tried my damned hardest to return the favor!"

She turned away and tried to hide her tears.

"Why is it that when I leave for a while, I come back and you're gone?"

After recovering the Earth Gem with remarkable ease, Taharka could not help but feel smug about his feat.

"A third Gem I have retrieved for him, only to be allowed one for myself." He muttered, lowering his satisfaction. It would ever eat at him - the feeling that his master fails to trust his most loyal servitor.

His body had resumed form within the hall of his personal manor, mere feet away from a dark event which eluded attention. He stole into his quarters with the intent of telepathically informing his master of his achievement, only to hear voices coming from beyond the thick wooden doors. They seemed only like faint mutters, but caught the name "Julius" be mentioned.

"That... name. I thought I..."

He stole into his chamber to notice three people, one being the man he passed earlier on. He thought to himself:

Could that be him? He appears so different... he should be dead. Nothing could have...

"And what -pray tell- is your purpose within my house? I recall only one person gaining entry to this dorm, nether you two are he. Speak your purpose before I have you beheaded."
He looked again at this man he failed to initially recognize, in disbelief that he is even able to move.

Arthvader "Lord Taharka. I've came here to ask about the golem that I saw earlier. Like, how did that golem came to be? And who was controlling it? Also..."

He then noticed the Earth Gem in Taharka's hands.

Arthvader "Wait a minute. Where did you get that gem? Last thing I know, I saw Leon and Shenorai with it. How did you get your hands on it?"

Still wondering how Julius doesn't remember anything, he started explaining Zeria about his theory.

Arthvader "Zeria, I think the reason why Julius doesn't remember anything is because he might be suffering from amnesia. I'll try to see if my phoenix can help him regain his memory. Phoenix, begin healing Julius's mind, if you would do so please."

The phoenix then began trying to recover Julius's lost memory.

Kaos eventually saw no further point in standing around, and decided to leave the area... He took flight, and began to make lazy circles upon an updraft to gain some height, and began to glide around boredly at about 5,000 feet, contemplating the reason of the battle and the golem.... What was going on, was there some sort of war going on that he did not know about? It looked like young adult humans taking on some sort of dark lord to him.... The more he thought about it, the more curious he got over the topic.

What could possibly be going on for a golem that tough to be chasing after people like that? Whoever sent it must be pissed... I should keep my eyes open for a while, I want to see where this could go... Kaos thought to himself while scanning the ground.

Before long, he spotted a young bounty hunter, or mercenary, or whatever the hell the humans called them. Kaos figured she would be tough enough to have a practice fight with him, and slowly decended to her, drawing his sword. "... Care for a fight, human?"

Finally approaching the scene to where the golem was Vex saw something disturbing. Leon was apparently dead, and the Earth gem now missing."Crap what could have happened to it, this is far from not good." Deciding to try to end things now Vex took out his sword.."Hopefully I have enough strength for this.. Tidal Wave Fury." A small energy barrier rose around the golem as Vex thrusted his sword into the air, soon water began to fill the barrier untill it was about halfway filled. The water then receded into the backs of the barrier forming into triangle like wedges, at this instant the barrier vanishes and the triangle like wedges start to rush towards the enemy. The small amount of energy that Vex was storing in his sword was growing out of controll. The golem was nearlly surronded by the wedges now, so Vex sprung forth and leaped up into thr air. Just as the wedges closed in on the golem Vex set forth a ball of energy from his sword, the explosion incased by the wedges of water that crashed down upon the golem. The dust began to settle and Vex was down on his knees, he was using his sword to support himself, and after the dust cleared Vex saw that the golem was thankfully dead. Perhaps after being separated from the gem the golem lost it's regenearative powers. "Good looks like it finally dead." Vex soon passed out after that and who knows after how long he woke up. To him it couldn't have been more then at least two hours since it was still light outside. Deciding to get some answers as to what happened Vex decided to head towards the manor of the town, perhaps it's lord might know something.

Approaching the manor Vex walked up to the two gaurds who stopped him and asked "What do you want here?" He quickly replied with a retort of his own "If I am not a gaurd here obviously I am here to speak to your lord of this place, so may I enter?" It seemed he had made one of the gaurds angry cause he just left and might of went to speak to thier lord himself.
"Guess I will just have to wait here for a little while then." vex said silently to himself.

(OCC) sorry I haven't posted in a while work is killing me.

The cloud of dust took him by surprise. Damian ran around for a good ten minutes, disoriented by its effect. By the time it settled he had lost site of Leon, the golem and Vex. He looked around for any sign of them, but the dust seemed to have covered the track left by the golem.
‘Damn. Leon must have gotten away with the gem, and Vex got away without answering any questions.’
He turned and headed back into town in order to help anyone who had been injured by Zeria’s blast. To his surprise, he found it completely intact. But where Zeria had stood all he found was a puddle of blood.
‘Her friend must be taking care of her. Well I better get back to the boy to tell him that it’s all over.’
Damian headed back to the house he had entered when he first reached Daziel. The boy stood at the window watching eagerly. When he got hold of Damian he ran to the door to open it.
“You’re okay!” the boy cried out.
“Yes I am. It was quite exciting, but I’d have to admit that I played a very small role in today’s events.”
“So you found out what is wrong with the village?”
“I believe that a spirit was causing all the trouble, but I can’t say for sure. All I know is that the spirit is gone from this place. The only problem is that I still have some unanswered questions.”
“Then you should go see Lord Taharka. He may be able to answer any questions about this village. He’s in the biggest house of the village. You’ll know it’s his place by the guards standing outside.”
“Thank you. I believe that’s a good idea. I’ll head over right now.”
Damian headed toward to the door, but stopped to say, “Oh and I must not forget my guitar.”
The boy ran into the other room and brought out the instrument. Damian threw it onto his back and walked outside. Before closing the door, he turned around and tipped his hat to the boy.
Damian walked around the village for hours before he found the house he was looking for, and there was Vex standing outside.
“Vex! It’s time for you to tell me what the hell is going on here!”
