The Nine Worlds

I edited my post in for Luna and posted a new post. Lloyed vs. Arukab was a short battle really...

Nuts. Well, here is her replacement theme.

Battlefield - Etrian Odyssey II

now the matter of what should Lindt do? Should she meet the others INSIDE the tunnel?

THE PHOENIX

Name: Maria Cienfuegos

Age: 23

Gender: Female

Race: Hispanic

Appearance:
resource.aspx

Human form: Stands 5'3" and weighs 125 pounds. Maria has an attractively curvaceous body, and his very comfortable in her own skin. She has dark brown hair with green eyes. She generally wears simple jeans and a short-sleeved t-shirt. Around her neck on a silver chain is a phoenix charm.

Phoenix form: When she shifts to phoenix form, Much of Maria's clothing singes away, revealing much of her body. Her veins and arteries begin to swirl blue, red, yellow, and orange colors, seemingly at random. The colors are in constant motion. At her mid-riff, however, an image of a phoenix remains constantly identifiable, though the wings continue to swirl around her middle. Her eyes turn ice blue, verging on clear, as the hottest fires burn white-hot. A reddish aura envelops her.

Personality: In a word, combustible. Maria wears her emotions on her sleeve. She is extremely extroverted; quick to anger, quick to laugh, quick to cry. She expects to be treated well by everyone, but does not always reciprocate. She remembers every slight, no matter how small, and often holds grudges for long periods of time. While in phoenix form, she is merciless. She is an agent of destruction, with no remorse for her actions.

Weapons: None.

Abilities: Scorch - Minor energy drain. Causes second-degree burns to any being Maria physically touches. To structures, it would cause superficial structural damage. Maria's hands glow reddish-orange while this ability is active.

Wrath - Low-Moderate energy drain. Has the potential to engulf an opponent in flames. To structures, it would cause severe fire damage, the equivalent of a four-alarm fire. A ball of flame approximately 18" in diameter forms between Maria's hands. She then shoots this ball at her target. It travels in a straight line, and has an effective range of 500 yards.

Raze - High-Moderate energy drain. Strictly used for the destruction of cities, this ability can decimate an area as large as 8 city blocks. Any and all life caught within the blast zone would be eradicated, but those along the fringes would have a chance to escape. The energy transferrence of the ability radiates outward at a moderate pace. Cannot effectively be used in simple combat.

Flight - While in phoenix form, Maria has the ability to fly at speeds and heights approaching that of a peregrine falcon. She could fly for approximately 30 minutes before needing rest, depending on altitude and speed.

Weaknesses: Ice-based magic/abilities, Water-based magic/abilities, and the forces of creation.

History: Maria grew up in a typical middle-class Hispanic family in the Bronx. She was the middle child of five, so she developed something of a need to be the center of attention, whether that attention be positive or negative. She quickly became known for her temper, and got into various scraps at school and in her neighborhood.

With the appearance of the Pure Ones, her latent powers became manifest. During a fight with an ex-boyfriend, she grabbed his arm. Where her hand touched, the young man suffered second-degree burns. She could feel the rage of the Phoenix building inside her. Scared, yet exhilirated, she took off into the night, in the general direction of Manhattan.

She has not been seen since.

Themes:
- Character - Flyleaf - All Around Me
- Battle - Prodigy - Firestarter

That's fine, and approved, but you realize that the Phoenix was intended to be a villain? Is that OK?

Yes, that's what I had planned. That's why she has the destructive capability, and is averse to the forces of creation.

Olol Tipsy :wacky: I just went through all the games I had and picked out the best themes from them :wacky:

Also, since i'm back now and i'll assume a good few pages have passed, anyone care to fill me in? :hmmm:

I posted a catch up thread. :monster: It leaves out why they fled into the tunnel, but it was because Raym attacked the group with controlled civilians. Saul and Shogun stayed behind to fight. We're now in Arc 2.

The Dark Invoker
Gender: Male/Female
One who can open gateways to the different Worlds, and summon those that dwell within.

I want to make a profile for this one. I'll link it here once I find it. She will fit perfectly.

You're going to...ugh, that's too damn sneaky. So you say I've sent that group of children to their graves now!? >_< It's not fair to be up against psychics, how the hell is there some safe place to get them to? -_-

Not psychics. Anastasia saw them go up the tunnel and Raym has been near them, watching them for a while.

And never fear, Wolf, Good almost always wins out.

What Diar is doing is creating tension and fear within the characters which will push the Heroes abilities to manifest faster as they come to rely upon them to survive.

When it comes down to it, they can't always rely on the Gods for help. They are going to have to try make it on their own.

OKAY: so once Shogun has gone up the tunnel (Saul refuses to leave until she does), I want Saul to meet the Valkyrie. Mainly to keep him seperated from the main group for a little while. this okay with you, Diar? :gasp:

Vikki has it right. :ryan: The seperation has the same purpose.

Yes, Vikki. Should be fine. ^_^

Pfft... They're as good as psychics if they just happen to spot them wherever they go, whether it is the Holland Tunnel, or the friggin' North Pole. X_x

So yeah, separating to find more survivors to send into harm's way now? Shit...

You forget that the Pure Ones are a hell of a lot stronger than the Heroes.

I daresay the Heroes will be able to located the Pure Ones later on in the RP. The Heroes are just coming into their abilities so they'd be creating flux's and their power would be erratic, making it easier for those with controlled abilities to focus upon.

I think i'll start binging the finishing touches onto the city and then maybe start tracking down the Heroes, maybe become a 'recurring villain' of sorts? With Destruction as my power, most of the heroes would be of interest to me to try and turn :wacky:

uuhhh...Vikki, concerning your most recent post with Taylana...

Squee's post with Luna said:
Luna Had come up to see two earthly figures ahead of her. He glowing red eyes were looking the both of them up and down, sizing them up. One that was unknown to her was using elements to her advantage. Luna watched in fascination. The other one used light to protect herself, and Luna examined that protection. It wasn't too far from that of her own, but she had the dark element. Luna managed to pick up on one of the names, being called Taylana by the other.

Luna began to charge for a bit. She charged for a mere 10 seconds, all while remaining hidden behind a truck that had been ripped nearly in half. Casting her spell, a small tornado came around the two she saw. This was her Sinful Wind spell, intended to make all those that feel the effects dizzy. Her plan was to stop the two from fighting so she could find out what was going on.

After casting the spell, she revealed herself and her bright red eyes stared at them with a massive grin of terror. She was trying to appear tough, with her gray tinted skin and thin armor. But regardless of how tough she was, she still had the appearance of a little girl.
