survivor 2013 time frame pole?

So I am going make a new pole for when to start survivor series cause everyone seems to have disputes about the first pole.

I really rather not start it no later than June since by July A birthweek is in full force, and B middle of summer (for most of the regulars on here) and more and more people tend to go on vacation.
 
I put May this time. It'll be much better for me perosnally. I won't have to deal with tests or just school in general by that time. I'll be free to wake up and fall asleep whenever I choose. It'll also be after the big move, so I'll have internet connections. I'll also have my new laptop by that time, so I won't have to worry about sharing anymore.
 
I said it in the last one, but I'll say it again to keep everything in one place etc. I'll go for any time. I'd say that June would probably be best for a load of people, 'cause school is out and all that. But then again, like you say, people could go on holidays.

Anyways: any time.
 
We're never going to be able to hold Survivor at a time in which every person who wants to take part in it is available / has the free time that they desire for it.

Therefore I think June perhaps is best. More people are likely to be ok for Survivor at that time. The summer is in full swing (or winter for those who live upside down :updown:) and school / uni ends, so a lot of people will be better at that time. Some may have holidays, and if it is possible to steer away from any particular dates then we can discuss that also. If not, I doubt we're all going to decide to pack-up and travel the world at the exact same time.

Early June seems to me to be the best time, and we are more likely to have people around for FFF if there is a reason for them to be here (such as this). It could almost act as a build-up towards Birthweek too.

But if June is a complete no, April may be ok? I'm not certain. It's slap bang in the middle of the Easter period. People may not be here then either, or they may be doing essays, assessments and assignments, etc, for school or uni due in the following semester.
 
I say June, due to the fact of it being the centre and main point of Summer, imo.

People will be off and able to take part, and it won't interfere with say, exam repeats for Uni's.
 
june best, as for most people exams would be over.... but maybe august???? as everybody who at school should be off??
 
I voted april but any time besides March is cool with me.
I reckon I might give this a go this year for the lulz.
I'm away from middle of feb to early march so I don't think march is very practical.
 
Juuuuuuuuuuuune.

If it's too inconvenient for the one organiser then why not look in to having a non-staff member run it? It's not like they're a real moderator/I'm sure we've all grown up enough to not give about having the power to close a thread?

If we can't do it in June then I can't do it at all - last year at University requires, you know, at least a pass!
 
what is survivor ie for instance and therefore do you have to submit video footages, audio footages and other footages of yourself?

I only experienced survivor last year, but I'm sure we'll need to record audio and video (and pics) for some challenges.

Okay, to clarify an eariler statement:
Yes, in the summer, it's more difficult for me to access the site. It's not an impossibility, however, and if we decide on June being the time, I will still be hosting. I'd like no more said about that particular matter please. Just list your personal preference.
 
Just read the other thread. I'll have to say that 'convenience' doesn't only apply to the ones joining, but the ones who are taking lead planning/hosting as well. So let's take that into consideration as well. The only member who volunteered to coordinate the whole thing was Kylie -- the two others (Shace and Soul) simply wanted to help out (Dan and Kira also agreed to keep an eye and answer any questions). There's a difference between helping out and putting two and two together. Without these guys, then I don't think Survivor would happen because no one else volunteered, and they didn't know beforehand that most of you would rather go for June. If one of the volunteers find a specific time frame a bit problematic, that's understandable. But they will work something out, I'm sure.

If you guys do it in June, then this will clash with Birthweek so I don't think we will plan for Birthweek this year as most of you will be in the Survivor boards anyway.

Well now that Mits has said if we do it in June we probably wont have Birthweek, do you all still wanna do Survivor in June?
 
It's cool, Vircon. If June is what works best for you all (both participants and hosts), then stick with June. Jesse might do the usual awards but we kinda had a low turnout for competitions last year anyway, so I don't think we'll do it this year, save the banner competition that we do each year.
 
I voted May because I have nothing major going on that month, but to be perfectly honest I don't think I've got anything that would really prevent me from taking part any of those months. :hmmm:
