shit man, now I gotta find a new p2p downloader. Bearshare ruined my laptop once, Kazaa the desktop before it... any recommendations?

I use dc++ to download my music. It's a client for the Direct Connect file sharing network. You can connect to specialized servers (trance music in my case) and then you download from the users ont the servers. There are servers about everything, from game to movie, softwares or music. Some servers have requirements, like having at least 5 gig of music to share.

Before that I was using kazaa and LimeWire but I wasn't finding what I wanted.

I used to DL from blogspots..(for rnb hiphop etc.) Blogspots usually have links for music uploaded on several storing sites.. and there are tons of storing sites that arent harrassed by the federal bullshit.

Try to google for blogspots/sites for music which you prefer.

This comnputer isn't new, it's so shite.

And as for torrents, it works when I have one or two songs I have in mind to download every once in a while.. but when I'm on a spree for a bunch at a time, it's annoying.
