Are there any moments in a game where you're so nervous that you either squint or blink a lot? For me, in FFVIII, I always blink a lot when I'm boosting a GF, especially if it's powerful like Alexander or Eden. I also blink a lot when I'm trying to do the 200-lightning bolt challenge for Lulu's celestial weapon.

Um, no. I have gotten incredibly excited during Final Fantasy games. I pull the typically little kid at Christmas shit like make happy noises, bounce around the room, and rub my hands together in excitement... but I've never had a like seizure over menu management or a mini-game. Sorry.

Nope, I always like taking risks and instead of being nervous you could say that I "play" with the situation at hand.

The only momments I might feel a bit stressed is on momments like FFXII: fight against Yiazmat, where we spend hours lowering its HP, and the last health bar seems like a pain to lower and have always that worry of making a mistake. Taking that apart no.

I found the 200 evade bolts quite amusing, I got it at my third or so try and wasn't much worried or blinking.

Hmm...I don't think so no, although I may have had blinked a lot during that 200-lightning bolt challenge since that was pretty nerve-wracking to me. Or the jump rope sidequest in FFIX. I do get quite edgy when something makes me nervous in a game, I'll say that.

Not that I've ever noticed.. Most of the times my eyes are more wide open as i do not want to miss a thing in the game!

I squint sometimes when I am re-facing a boss after losing once. Or twice.... -cough-

Somehow, I seem to think I will do better if I squint. xD it never did work.

i do not want to miss a thing in the
Aerosmith ftsaw

I've never squinted or blinked a lot whilst playing FF. When I was younger, and not as good as I am now at FF, when I was very close to beating a boss or just after beating a boss that had taken a while to beat, I was somewhat nervous about dying after beating said boss.
But that is as about as close as I got to being nervous.

I don't think Ive ever blinked alot, if Im trying to do something and Im concentrating and worrying I'l fuck up I'l more likely not blink at all, or t least rarely. Especially on the lightning bolt dodging, I was too scared t o blink then, I had to mke a mental note that if I needed to blink, do it as I was hitting the X button

My heart might race abit though, because I get FAR too into it if i's something difficult, and I might start talking to the TV.....or swearing at it >_>

....or cursing at the Playstation, threatening to smash it up and replace it with a newer model if that bloody move misses seemingly unfairly one more time....

Lol... I never squint... I usually just take deep breaths and keep my eyes fixed upon the screen... but that was when I was younger. Now I just think "meh" if I lose or I get pissed if I lose lots and run around killing stuff for a while.

Occasionally now, I will pause it to relax for a while but other that I do nothing.

I have never squinted or blinked my eyes when playing a FF game especially if I got nervous. The only time I do get nervous when playing is when I am very close to losing a battle that I don't want to have to redo all over again. I tend take a deep breath while sitting on the edge of my bed hoping that I don't get killed. If that does happen, I tend to curse at my game alot and "accidently" drop my remote on the ground which could probably explain why I end up always getting a new remote later on.

Never anything like that. I swear a LOT at the TV though. Doesn't matter what game though. It's usually when a video game does something stupid though. When something makes no sense, or doesn't work out the way I thought it would.

I don't blink during games. At least, not that I realise.

When I start completing a hard part of the game, my heart races a bit, due to fear that if I fail I'll have to do all that work over again. :gasp: (Not a fan of wasted effort)

Same here, Im just like that. But I try not to blink alot playing a new game in case somethings missed lol.

Ive never blinked in succession. I do get pretty riled up if im fighting a boss and i keep losing to him, specially when he wont let me revive a KOd character. But blinking isnt something ive ever done, sounds kinda peculiar. If im playing a game like tekken (i just was) and im on the verge of winning my eyes sorta unfocus themselves but thats about it.

I think its a rule or something. As soon as something requires a lot of concentration your eyes get super dry and you have all kinds of prickles and itches on your skin. Every time! But its never happend to me while just playing or being nervous.

I don't really squint or blink a lot while I play. I often do just the opposite, if I'm doing something which requires concentration; such as tuning the lightning towers in X-2, I just stare at the screen and don't blink at all. When I'm in a particularly tough boss fight I usually find myself sitting on the edge of my seat scared to turn my head for an instant.

If I get killed in a really annoying way I usually ditch my controller as hard as I can, luckily though I'm able to aim at my bed during my fit of rage.

Nope, no excessive blinking from me either. I do get a bit jumpy and anxious if a particularily difficult battle is going well and I just hope it ends soon!

lol Yea, when I'm excited I'll completely spaz the fuck out. It probably looks like a special education kid hopped up on meth... but fuck it, I have fun. I literally lose motor function because my spaztec emotions overwhelm me. It's pretty much only for video games though. For sports I'll do the signature arm pump with a loudly proclaimed "fuckin' right!"
