Some people are trying to tell me that when Squall takes Rinoa's hand and pulls her closer to himself and their faces get close... that they aren't kissing. They're just smashing their faces together. :wacky:

But, Squall grabs her hand, pulls her close, let's his hand run across her back, their faces each turn to opposite sides just as they're faces are touching each other---they're frickin' kissing. :rage:

It wouldnt surprise me tbh if squall missed her lips and clocked her in the nose or soemthing ¬¬

But yeah im sure they are :wacky: Its the way to end a love story properly.

I can kinda see WHY somebody would think that, but no. I think they're kissing. Squall and Rinoa are kinda one of the icons of RPG romance and love, and that contact at the end is supposed to be subtle. Beautiful. Just because we don't get a close up of them kissing doesn't mean they're smashing their faces together. (love that description, Cali. :wacky:) They wouldn't end this romance that's been building for four discs with the smashing of faces. :hmph:

I've always thought he was kissing her...it seemed kinda obvious, really. What else would be doing? Giving her a hug? With his head down? xD

But considering the entire game after the end of disc one is possibly a fantasy playing out in Squall's mind in those moments before his death, one could argue that he isn't kissing Rinoa, and instead its a figment of his imagination ♥
 
Still, even if it's in his mind(??) they're still kissing. :wacky:
 
I hate the idea of them together, but yeah, I'm pretty sure they're sucking face at the end of the game. Not much of an ending if they have another epic hug scene :wacky:

I've never really seen anyone argue against this. I thought the general consensus is that they are kissing. It doesn't really require much imagination to work that out when they watch the ending scene itself. And I thought it was a sweet way to end. Beforehand in the beginning, this is something you wouldn't imagine seeing Squall do. Closing off with this subtle kiss just goes to show how much he's developed as a protagonist and it neatly closes off what is essentially a conventional love story.

Okay...whoever said they're not kissing can't see lol. They are definitely kissing because he tilts his head and leans in to kiss her. What else is he going to do? Breathe in her neck?

Its the last scene in the game and the audience has been waiting for the 2 of them to Kiss, there alone kinda, the Danger is gone..............there just Mashing there Faces together?

I'm going to disagree, just because I can. They're obviously eating a fucking taco. This is evident when you see Squall going to Taco Bell. Clearly, he's smashing that taco into their mouths because they're fucking hungry and got the munchies like a motherfucker.

Then he runs off. I have photographic evidence that Squall takes off running afterward. :mokken:

Hell, I won't lie. Even though I'm not a big fan of FFVIII, I wouldn't say the relationship between Squall and Rinoa was forced, but it did somewhat come out of the blue. Sure, I fucking loved Quistis, in my opinion she's the hottest of the FF females. Smart, pretty, brains, glasses, she has it all.

But I would never want to see her with that motherfucking dolt, Squall. Not. Ever.

But if someone is seriously trying to tell you that they didn't kiss... Just repeat this line, "U MAD? U JELLY? DEAL WITH IT."

They obviously fucking kiss. :ffs:
