I'll be putting the threads up at 8pm tonight, barring internet failure, so if you have yet to send me your entry, you know when ^^

It should be a really good week this week, I'm really pleased at the great entries I've gotten! Great job guys ^^
 
Sorry for double post, but I have a question:

The 500x200 limit: is it possible to do a 200x500 sig? So that it's vertically oriented? Would that be allowed or not? Just wondering. ^_^
 
nice theme 'the media' ive got a rather good idea in mind though il have to have a look about the nets and see if i can find a way to do it :hmmm:
 
AOTW hasn't gone up as I unfortunately only have the one entry and I wasn't going to wait around any longer to put SOTW up <_>

So unless there's another AOTW entry by Friday, the only entry I have will win by default.
 
Avatars are hard to make, I can understand why there's so fewer entries for them. More power to the people that do make them though. *salutes*

I have a great idea for the next theme. How does 'ass-kicking pose' sound?
 
I do find icons hard. i think i approach them like i do sigs which doesnt work as theres just not enough room to make it work. i often find when i look at avatars people make the best ones are just cleverly cropped with some nive lighting
 
Indeed, for once the saying 'less is more' is actually true, with avatars.

I've been looking for some stocks for my proposed theme and it's hard to find any good ones. A nice challenge methinks!
 
il need to change my avi now, its a bit early for haloween.

il probadly just crop a sig, i just cant decide which im keeping yet :sad3:
 
I can't say I have much luck for avatars either. In fact, my "avis" lately are just lazy crops which aren't really that good to look at. As for the AOTW and SOTW thing, I've never really bothered entering anything yet and I doubt I have much time to nowadays. And I kind of lack the confidence as well. You know what they say anyway - the first time can be the hardest. xD
 
the first time i entered sotw i was super nervous. i think i pmed mark about 3 times with difffernt questions etc. I only got a few votes but i was soo delighted you wouldnt believe it :lew:

I'd really encourage you to enter, Fleur. Even if you don't win, I find that folks give the best feedback during SOTW, and it really helps you develop.
 
I remember my first time entering. It wasn't too bad, and I got both positive and negative feedback. I feel people are always a little more honest when they don't know who's work that it is, and it's nice to see it compared to others work. It took me a long time before I finally one my first SOTW, which it really was worth it
 
My response to my first SOTW entry: "Yay, I got one vote!!" It was from either Shahab or Eidolon, few of the GFX artists I looked up to back then. Still do.
