The theme this week is Supermodels. Please remember, that while posting isn't necessary in order to count your vote, it is encouraged.

Also, please remember that you CANNOT vote for your own entry, and you will be disqualified from this SOTW, and the next two SOTWs if you do so.

Here are the entries I received :

I pick 2. It's just very classy and the model is one of my favorite models ever. I really like the effects used, too. Simple but outstanding!

I personally liked 2 and 3. I liked the effects in the second one, but it felt a little empty to me personally at the same time. The lightning seemed a little off too...

So 3 stood out more for me. Loving the text. I can't figure it out, but it looks damn glossy and interesting. :ryan:

2 got my vote

Despite the height being out of my personal preference, the effects were well-picked, and not too over-powering for the stock. The positioning of the chick was a nice spot; it generated a good amount for flow. The c4ds picked were nicely placed.

This was a close tie for me between 2 and 3.

#1 was good but..... let's keep the delicious duo under wraps, hey? This is a forum with a young age group! I did like the pop out design of the sig, but I could see lots of white around the render where it had been cut out. And the render itself struck me as odd... is it a cartoonish render or not? The head and hair tell me yes, but the rest of it... clashes. Hmm. But the background effects were beautifully done, though.

#2 was my overall favorite and ultimately won my vote. Great stock, great lighting, and interesting use of a brush/c4d/whateveritis. The decision to go with the long and narrow size also helped draw the eye across the length of the sig, so every last pixel is seen and has an effect. It is simple, yet elegant, which is the essence of beauty, and a fitting angle to take considering the theme.

#3 is another excellent sig, boasting and incredible use of brushes and effects that I didn't think were possible! The shiny effect on the text is also simply superb, but impossible to read. The more I keep looking at this sig, the more there is to see and appreciate. I only had 3 major problems with it, though: the text is unreadable, which seems to make the point of text moot; the far left of the sig, with the separation didn't seem necessary to me, and doesn't add to the overall appeal of the sig -- indeed, it's fairly unnoticed at all, since all the focus is the center of the larger right section; and there are bubble-like patterns at the very bottom on the left side that stick out poorly, instead of being a single piece that seamlessly integrates into the mosaic of effects. A small thing, but I noticed it right off the bat. :\ Despite this, it's still a gorgeous sig, and if I could vote twice, it would definitely get mine.

#4 was somewhat of an oddity. There was a bit too much exposure on the highlights and the render looked as if it had been made deliberately fuzzy, which I thought odd. The translucent bar and text were nicely done, fitting the color theme well, but could have been put together a bit more thoughtfully to my mind.

Excellent job everyone. When this competition is done, I'll definitely be picking some brains to figure out how some techniques were achieved!

Supermodels being naturally beautiful? Not really. 1 was a nice entry, I liked the size and colors, but the render looked a little bit choppy and the text seems a little too big.

With 4, I liked the colors, but the whole signature seems low quality, and the black text doesn't suit the rest of the vibrant colors in the sig. I do like the glow around the render though.

2 would be my second vote, the lighting is great and the model used suits the colors used nicely. The one thing that I didn't really like myself was the C4D, it looks a bit overwhelming placed right over the model. I also liked the dimensions. The size fit really well with the image.

Voted for 3. Text is great, and I liked the brushes used. To be honest though, I think it would have looked even better if it wasn't duplicated at the left, but it does look really nice anyway.

3 was the only tag there that actually stood out to me as excellent. like others i did like 2 but i think the proportions are way out and that tag looks really stretched..
im shit at constructive criticism but i think number 3 is a fantastic tag so im voting for it:)

2 or 3

2 -
ON THE LEFT - is just perfect, it looks like an entity on its own.
ON THE RIGHT - The brushes are too choppy, notice how it seems like the model has been scratched with a pencil..thats sloppy IMHO.

3 could have done without the left copy paste..and yeah its unreadable...love the effects though and great lightning..

Have to go for number 3

4 - bright colours and happy colours doesnt always benefit the sig....too much lightning combined with bright colours is not enjoyable to put my sights on.

1- made by a pervy guy that lacks creativity imo :P

I voted for number two.

Its uniqueness is really attractive. Dark colors mixed with golds look extremely pretty together. Nice stock placement as well, but my favorite aspect is the depth--clear distinction between the foreground and background. Light source is a little too small for me, but effective nonetheless. The effects blend in with the hair (as if it's actually the hair), I don't know if the maker intended that, but it's fantastic.

Terrific job to all the entries. :8F:

I was torn between two and three, but I think I'll go with three for this one.

I think the quality and sharpness of the effects and the main stock got me. The colors blend well together and the whole tag just gives off that ephemeral effect that gave it that added extra "oomph" that got me to vote for it. If anything, I think the piece could have done without the text as it just seems like extra baggage for an already great tag.
