Voted #1, simply because the concept is so deep and the execution is quite good too. The focus is created well with the iris of the eye, and the vibrant colour of the explosion and for me, it just stands out more conceptually then say...#2, which is gorgeous, but another stock, then repeat blend/lighting effects.

Pretty good level of skill from you guys, I likey!
 
I voted for #1 as well.

It felt the most emotional in my opinion. It really captured the moment when you realise it's all over.

I love how the explosion is reflecting off the eye and the blending is well done.

Lovely text and simple border rounds it off nicely.

Nothing much to say except well done!

Also well done to the other entries!

What did it for me was the effects of the BG and how warlike (?) it looked :)

I also love the font used and the line under it.

#2 was the best by far. It depicted the better emotion and the colours are very suited for the theme.
 
I liked five for the emotion on the man's face and the text was pretty good :D
 
I'm voting for five, I think it captured the theme well. I like how the foreground is distinguished from the blurry background and I think the lighting is done well too.
 
Number 3 is for me.

This is not cause its a Star Wars-based tag, that is not it at all, but more like how the tag itself captures the true meaning of war, and to be honest, the lighting is the best out of the rest. So yeah, number three for me.
 
number 5 for me, I rather liek them all, but number 5 stood out the best, i lovethe image and the text, it fits the theme perfect. It just instantly made me think of war films and all the action - and I love war films :mosnter:
 
#2 definitely.

The whole grungy effect of the sig really brings out the war theme and the render/stock is brilliant, as is the secondary image used to the left, it adds a really nice dimension to the sig. Font is brilliant. Excellent sig.
 
I'm going to vote number 1.

With number 5, and number 2, on second and third place.

I thought the colours in number one were stunning. It took me a while to decide though, because I am not too fond of the overload of text lines, maybe something more subtle and smaller would've worked. Love the image, and the border is nice as well.
 
I was torn between 1 and 5, but I chose 1 because it was so moving and sad. Its a powerful image.
