[RP] Final Fantasy IX: Scars of Terra

Aaron Sohm

"Well...This is boring..Maybe I should have joined someone.I don't really know anyone in Lindblum anymore."He grumbled to himself while streching his arm's out and yawning somewhat. The districts would be busy with Warriors and Tourists which would be a hassle for him in the long run since he hates being stuck in crowds.

"...I probably should have went with Robert and the others,Probably discussing the enemy and their goals by now.."He grumbled again and put his legs on the couch and lay's down on it."Well Since I'm in the castle lobby they should run into me at some point till then I'll just rest for a bit.."

Annelise Steiner

"Surprised someone as lowly as me is friends with a princess?"

"No, we're just more surprised that you -have- friends Lucia, considering how many headaches you've been causing everyone."

Anne couldn't help but laugh at the thought of 'her' being friends with a Princess. Then again, since the stories concerning King Zidane were true, she found it believable.

"It's been a while Eiko. I wish this visit was on better terms. Considering Lan is here with you, I can presume he's told you about Oielvert's objective; gathering the elemental mirrors to open the gateway to Terra?"

"That's the catch there Rob. They are gathering the mirrors, but it's for a different purpose. Rob, can you get everyone that came with you on the flight and get them into the guest bedroom? I have a few important things to say right on the spot."

"Ricard went to the city itself and Aaron is still off in the castle somewhere. I'll fill Ricard in when I get the chance. As for Twinsword..."

----
The Twinsword

Twinsword yawned and stretched as she got out of bed. The ride here was largely uneventful, and thankfully Lucia wasn't there too ruin her rest this time. Looking out the window, she saw that she was in a hanger of some sort. "We're at Lindblum already? Holy crap!" Without much of a second thought she threw the sheets off and started to take off in a run, only to trip and fall on the sheets she haphazardly threw onto the floor.

"Ow..." The ex-Lord General said as she slowly picked herself up and began to run to the deck. Upon arriving at the deck, she saw the party on the mid-floor, talking and conversing with a noble of some sort. "I'm here...I'm awake." Twinny said.

"...Well, there's Twinny." Anne said, glaring at her before turning towards Lan, intent on listening to what he had to say.

----
King Zidane and Princess Sarah of Alexandria

Sarah looked at the gifts with a smile, they were very beautiful and she would love to go and wear them. "Thank you Freya!!!" She said with excitement as she took the smaller box from Freya and ran to her room to try it on while servants came to take the dress and put it there as well.

"Speaking of kids, how is Mr. Prince of Treno doing?"

"Kuja? He's taking a nap right now." Zidane said. It was ironic that the male child was named after Zidane's brother, the one who plunged the world to war seventeen years ago and nearly brought an end to Gaia after easily destroying Terra. "He finished his tutorlage alongside Sarah a few hours ago."

"Hey Zidane. You remember where we got the mirrors from right? Ipsen castle? When we took them, we ended up getting attacked, and the mirrors were being used to power something there. Do you think Oielvert might use the mirrors to re-activate that device?"

Zidane realized what Freya had meant. The mirrors were no doubt originally from Ipsen Castle and they probably were used to seal away that monster that attacked them. "Maybe so, I'm not entirely sure, but it is possible. We'll send a message to King Al, the King of Ipsen. If the mirror's are used for what we think they are, then he is in danger."

----
Beatrix Steiner

"So, what are you going to do now? From my information, Oielvert is using Cleyra as a staging point. While they could make another strike on Burmecia, ships have been seen leaving Cleyra and heading for here and Lindblum. Small ships so far, most likely to seed rogues in place to try and find the mirrors, but they have enough troops that they could launch an all-out attack on either here or Lindblum. Possibly even both at once if they have more troops en route to the Mist continent."

"I wouldn't be surprised." Beatrix said, crossing her arms. "Steiner had noticed that too while he was fishing, they've most likely sent in enough troops to strike at any part of the Mist Continent with relative ease."

Turning to the side again, she then said, "Have you heard the recent string of defeats that Lindblum had had over the Central Ocean? I've heard that the Lindblum Navy is dwindling in strength and their soldiers captured or killed. I only hope they are only rumors, or else a defense of Lindblum may be difficult to achieve."

Lan Ester and Remilia Oveilia

Remilia smiled at the bed hair girl that was Twinswords before looking at Lan.

"What purpose do Oeilvert want them for if it's not for Terra? I doubt they want it as decoration." Remilia asked.

"Opening the portal to Terra is the Mirror's secondary ability. The primary ability it can be used for is still unknown to me. But one person in the enemy camp might know. The genome Brandish seems to know more then what she let on to me when we talked. As I said in the letter, she is doubting King Cyril and apparently she wants to save him from something. What that is, I don't know. One important thing I have to say now is back over in Clerya while the battle with the airships persued, Brandish and her partner the Ninja called me out to participate in this mission." Lan muttered.

"But that means..." Remilia started to speak before Lan stopped her with a raise of his hand.

"Yes. It means I will be an active fighter in their Mirror theft mission. Everyone knows I'm a spy. So to keep my cover intact, I will have to fight you guys." Lan muttered as he turned around and started walking away from them.

"Anne, I need to speak with you privately. Walk with me." Lan muttered as he walked away from the group.

"No, we're just more surprised that you -have- friends Lucia, considering how many headaches you've been causing everyone."

"Ouch! That's going to leave a mark" Lucia joked, she was starting to adjust somewhat to their banter, at least as she saw it before listening to Lan's report, putting her arm around Eiko "Beat you up? No problem to me, I assume you won't hold back too much if you need it to be convincing" with the talk pretty much over before much discussion happened Lucia let go of Eiko "I hate to cut the reunion short but I have a... Small matter to deal with" Lucia then ran off into the Theater District.

Freya Crescent
Sir Fratley

Freya gave a nod to Zidane's suggestion. "That would be best. They're generally a peaceful nation with a defensive military force. But considering the numbers Oielvert has been sending to the Mist Continent, I'm not sure how well Ipsen would be able to defend against Oielvert. As it stands, the numbers that have been seen reinforcing Cleyra after the success of the evacuation mission and Oielvert's defeat at the walls of Burmecia, they currently outnumber Burmecian forces 4 to 1 on estimate. I would daresay they intend to have approximately half of their full military force to the Mist continent. Not only that, they seem to have new technology. Metal carriages with cannons. They were no match for Burmecia, but that is because the land is always soft due to the constant rain, so they sank right into the ground. However, the force of those cannons were strong enough to damage the defensive walls. If they attack Alexandria and Lindblum with those things, I'd say you'll need some heavy defensive artillery to crush those rolling cannons. Simple arrows will just bounce off of them." Freya spoke to the king and queen.

**************

"That is the first I've heard of the naval battles, but it would certainly account for the missing trade ships and fishing ships. Not to mention with the new technology I saw them use against Burmecia, they may have created something to give them an edge in naval battles." Fratley replied. "I can't really explain them, but they have these new transports that look like metal carriages with a cannon attached. Not to mention they have a new ranged weapon technology. They're like miniature hand-held cannons. They use a small ball of metal and a small pouch of explosive powder. We did a few tests from those that were confiscated from the enemies, and they are far more powerful than any handheld weapon ever made on the mist continent. The downside to these weapons is in the reload. They take much longer to reload than a bow and arrow, so the key is to try to defend or avoid the first shot, and then take them down before they can load their weapon." Fratley explained.

Robert Crescent

Robert listened to Lan's words. He crossed his arms at the conflicting information. "Well, it has to have some sort of other connection to Terra. We've already heard from two lord-generals that Terra is their 'promised land'. However, it definitely reinforces the importance of keeping the mirrors away from this Lord Cyril guy." Robert said. However, a new thought came to mind. He remembered how his mother told him about how she and the others got the mirrors from Ipsen Castle, and then how she brought the mirror along with Armarant to the fire shrine.

"Eiko. You were with my mother when you, Zidane and the others went to Ipsen and first got the mirrors, right? Can you tell us about what happened at Ipsen? It might hold a clue as to this primary use of the mirrors and shed some light on why Cyril wants them so badly." Robert suggested to Princess Eiko.

Annelise Steiner & The Twinsword

"What purpose do Oeilvert want them for if it's not for Terra? I doubt they want it as decoration."

"Well, it has to have some sort of other connection to Terra. We've already heard from two lord-generals that Terra is their 'promised land'. However, it definitely reinforces the importance of keeping the mirrors away from this Lord Cyril guy."

Annelise had heard that before from the letter. Two Lord-Generals, the Brandish and the Bishop were to take part in a mission to steal the elemental mirror in Lindblum's possession. But the news of Lan having to fight their friends irked both women to the core.

"But that means..."

"Yes. It means I will be an active fighter in their Mirror theft mission. Everyone knows I'm a spy. So to keep my cover intact, I will have to fight you guys."

Twinsword sighed, "Alright...Just don't get caught too deep in it Lan." She seemed calm about it, but then she was still worried for him. The fact the Brandish, that Gisale would be able to help him might give him some degree of protection, at the cost of the focus being put on her instead.

"Anne, I need to speak with you privately. Walk with me."

"Okay." Anne ran up, catching up with Lan as he walked away from the party. "I assume it was about your question from your earlier letter. On who trained me as a knight?" She wasn't usually one to cut to the chase, but the question had been bugging her all this time. Now she wanted to know what Lan was trying to say.

----
Princess Eiko of Lindblum

"Eiko. You were with my mother when you, Zidane and the others went to Ipsen and first got the mirrors, right? Can you tell us about what happened at Ipsen? It might hold a clue as to this primary use of the mirrors and shed some light on why Cyril wants them so badly."

"Yeah, I remember that. We've came to Ipsen's Castle to retrieve the mirrors and use them to open the gateway to Terra. I remember that when we collected the mirrors some of the lights turned off and we were attacked by some monster named Taharka. I don't know if there was any other devices that may have been activated but...I'm not entirely sure."

----
Beatrix Steiner

"That is the first I've heard of the naval battles, but it would certainly account for the missing trade ships and fishing ships. Not to mention with the new technology I saw them use against Burmecia, they may have created something to give them an edge in naval battles. The downside to these weapons is in the reload. They take much longer to reload than a bow and arrow, so the key is to try to defend or avoid the first shot, and then take them down before they can load their weapon."

"If that is the case, then we will need to find out what they are using and use it quickly." Beatrix said, trying to process all of that, but the latter part seemed familiar however, "I've heard rumors that Ipsen and Lindblum are developing such miniature cannons themselves, mainly based on Oeilvert's model. I believe they call them muskets."

(OOC: I'll wait for Monarch to post as Garnet before continuing as Zidane)

Lan Ester

"I assume it was about your question from your earlier letter. On who trained me as a knight?"

Lan nodded as he kept walking, not looking at Anne the whole time while thinking very quickly on how to let Anne know about what he knows without breaking her completely.

"I need to know who is the person that trained you. I heard something interesting while in Clerya and I just need to verify something before I reveal it. So who trained you as a knight?" Lan asked.

---------
Remilia Oveilia

"Yeah, I remember that. We've came to Ipsen's Castle to retrieve the mirrors and use them to open the gateway to Terra. I remember that when we collected the mirrors some of the lights turned off and we were attacked by some monster named Taharka. I don't know if there was any other devices that may have been activated but...I'm not entirely sure."

"Unless Lan uncovers something relating to Terra, we can't do anything much about it. We'll have to trust him to get the information and not getting himself killed. In any case, when's the Festival of the Hunt? I wanna get some sleep before I see it." Remilia murmured while looking at the shrinking green form of Lan.

Garnet

War was never a topic that Garnet liked having to discuss. After all, the latest major war that Gaia had seen was due in part to Alexandria. Perhaps the blame could be laid on Kuja... Or maybe Garland...

... Or maybe herself.

But she failed. She lacked the power then, but she had the power now. A war is brewing and she had the ability to hold it back or bring it on. Her worried gaze shifted over to Freya and Zidane, who were already in discussion about the defenses of the cities.

Garnet kept her silence as she watched the two speak, not knowing when exactly to join in.

Alleria

Lan.

It took Alleria a while to remember but she eventually did when they mentioned the cloak. Where had he been? Alleria certainly didn't know and certainly didn't think it good to reveal that fact. Shrugging to Remilia, she looked over to Annelise as she approached.

The group was about to move when a well-dressed lady approached the group. She was later identified as Princess Eiko by Annelise, but either way, she had an air of nobility about her that made Alleria bow in respect.

While she was curious about Lucia knowing the Princess, she decided to keep quiet until she was allowed to speak.

King Zidane of Alexandria

"That would be best. They're generally a peaceful nation with a defensive military force. But considering the numbers Oielvert has been sending to the Mist Continent, I'm not sure how well Ipsen would be able to defend against Oielvert. However, the force of those cannons were strong enough to damage the defensive walls. If they attack Alexandria and Lindblum with those things, I'd say you'll need some heavy defensive artillery to crush those rolling cannons. Simple arrows will just bounce off of them."

"Man the way you say it...I am not liking these odds at all!" Zidane exclaimed, shaking his head. They got numbers and these...metal carriages...what else could they've possibly have?

(OOC: Short post, but trying to keep the gravy train rolling.)

Garnet

It seems that the situation was more bleak than expected. The enemy appears to have the upper hand with numbers and technology - and not forgetting the summoner. It vaguely reminded Garnet of the previous war where Alexandria had a major advantage with the Eidolons.

Here was a somewhat similar equation.

"Man the way you say it...I am not liking these odds at all!"

Garnet had to agree. Looking to her King, she gently reached for his hand, pressing it lightly.

"Don't worry, if we overcame the previous trial, we can overcome this one."

Indeed, they had come too far to lose so easily. Although the odds seemed terrible, Garnet actually felt a wave of confidence spread over her as she held Zidane's hands in hers. She smiled serenely as she looked over to Freya.

As Ricard continued to track down the monsters littering the area outside Lindblum he realised something, there was nothing driving him onwards, even if wrong it was certainly a start on finding out what was holding him back and dulling his actions. What was it he was lacking? What did he need to strengthen his power?

His mind then flashed back to what had happened since the airship crashed, how he had reunited with old friends and gained new ones in equal levels. Did his strength lie in any of them? The majority he barely knew on a personal level, the only three he knew to some degree were women, Alleria, Twin Sword and Annelise and the former was more a fight than a proper conversation. Did this mean it laid in something he knew nothing of? What did Twin Sword call it... Love?

Snapping out of his thoughts Ricard looked towards the sky, as if hoping for an answer "What is it I need to become strong? What is it I need to protect the ones I care about? Protect... Annelise" as these words escaped his lips that familiar yet strange feeling returned that he couldn't place on it's purpose, yet when he thought of her it made it's appearance. Was this what Twin Sword meant?

-------------------------

Walking through to the plaze before the Theater, Lucia felt quite at peace in the district that felt like home to her. Walking through to the area showing a play she found it empty, yet within lie a single person. Curious about this person she approached, as her eyes adjusted to the dark Lucia noticed she was wearing very little armour, yet looked like some form of military in the way she carried herself, as she got a better look of her face Lucia felt memories slip in from her younger teenage days.

Days when she was saved by a woman and immediately felt it was fate, growing immediately attached to her, especially with how impressional she was for being saved by someone strong yet kind. As she walked towards the savior from her past she let one word escape her lips before charging towards her "GISALE!" Lucia then wrapped her arms around the woman, refusing to release her tight grip "It's me, Lucia!"

Annelise Steiner

"I need to know who is the person that trained you. I heard something interesting while in Clerya and I just need to verify something before I reveal it. So who trained you as a knight?"

Anne nodded and wondered what he meant. Did someone from the enemy occupation force know of...she wanted to be sure so she responded "It was a female General by the name of Gisale Wettin. She was actually from a foreign land and came to Alexandria about three years ago at the behest of my mother and the queen." Annelise paused for a moment, "She was...kind of like a second mother to me. She taught me the things that my mother and father didn't know, so I hold her in high regard. Until what happened to the Enterprise..." Walking ahead of Lan she turned around to face him, "So tell me...is she still alive?"

----
General Gisale

Gisale was in an empty theater, looking out to the window of the setting sun. The lack of lighting meant that it would be hard for anyone else to see. Meditating to herself over what is to happen tomorrow after the festival, she could only hope that the plan would fail, to delay Cyril's plans, but to do so wound mean the eventual destruction of the city and thousands of innocent lives lost. Such thoughts weighed on the Lord-Generals head until the train of thought was broken by a loud individual.

"GISALE!"

"That voice..." Gisale thought to herself before she was immediately grabbed in a hug of sorts.

"It's me, Lucia!"

"Lucia? Lucia!" Gisale exclaimed as wrapped her arms around her friend. She knew of her from before...during the closing days of the Civil War. Gisale had saved her once during a surprise attack on the capital. But Lucia returned the favor during her flight to Ipsen when Gisale was heavily injured.

Releasing her grip around Lucia, Gisale said, "It's been three years since we've last met. How has life treated you?"

----
Princess Eiko

"Unless Lan uncovers something relating to Terra, we can't do anything much about it. We'll have to trust him to get the information and not getting himself killed. In any case, when's the Festival of the Hunt? I wanna get some sleep before I see it."

"Well don't you worry, cause the Festival is tomorrow. My dad after all has to start the event in person anyway and he won't be back till then." Eiko smiled.

"Good, that means there's still time to sign up. Hey Alleria, are you going to enter as well? There's no bridges for you to run across this time so you should be able to fight without your heart jumping out." Twinny said, mostly to jab at Alleria from her earlier fight. "Besides, my primary concern is taking that 'pretty princess' knight Anne down a notch, and I know she'll be wanting to join."

Robert Crescent

Robert smiled a bit. "I'll be participating as well. My mother is the current champion, and since she's going to be busy in Alexandria, I'll be representing her. Who knows, I might be able to keep the title in Burmecian hands." he jested. "However, I want everyone to keep on alert during the festival. It's practically the best time for Oielvert to strike since there will be monsters running loose and the military will be partially busy containing them within the playing fields. I'm not sure if they mean a full scale invasion like they tried with Burmecia or if they intend to try and sneak a small scale number of troops to try and take out the defenses from the inside, but they are certain to try something. The mirror and the civilians take priority." Robert spoke to the group.

Lan Ester

"So tell me...is she still alive?"

Looking into Anne's face as she stood in front of him, Lan instantly regretted even mentioning or asking about Anne's instructor. Lan started connecting the dots and found his answer after Anne told about her instructor's name. Sadly, Anne had him pinned on a walkway of the Airship docks. Seeing no way out and wondering if a jump from their current height could kill him, Lan chose his words with care.

"Anne. I really don't know how to say this without hurting your feelings on this. She is alive. But... how to say this... Brandish mentioned your name while I confronted her in Clerya. By that, I mean your full name and rank. Blue wing Lieutenant Annelise Stiener. The only person that should know your name and rank without meeting you should be anyone in Alexandria's Military and your parents. Do you understand what I am saying. Brandish is Gisale." Lan muttered as he placed a hand on Anne's shoulder.

-------------
Remilia Oveilia

"Well don't you worry, cause the Festival is tomorrow. My dad after all has to start the event in person anyway and he won't be back till then."

"Good, that means there's still time to sign up. Hey Alleria, are you going to enter as well? There's no bridges for you to run across this time so you should be able to fight without your heart jumping out. Besides, my primary concern is taking that 'pretty princess' knight Anne down a notch, and I know she'll be wanting to join."

"Are you even sure she will be entering? For all we know, she might sit this out. In any case, I'll cheer you all on. I don't mind the festival, but I don't like fighting for entertainment. Now if you excuse me, Alleria and I have some sleep to catch up on." Remilia said as she started walking towards Lindblum's mid level lobby that led to the guest bedroom.

Still keeping a tight grip on Gisale, Lucia rested her head lightly into her bosom as she replied "It's been difficult without you, I missed you so much, wanted to be with you every day" she felt her grip tighten on Gisale as she said this before lifting her head up to look into her eyes, tears starting to lightly form in her eyes "Why did you have to go? Why couldn't you stay with me?!" Lucia lightly pounded her right fist into Gisale's shoulder as she leaned her head into her chest again. Around Gisale she felt like the child she was back then all over again, she couldn't contain any emotion she felt.

"Gisale I... I always wanted to follow you, no matter what happened to me, it didn't matter as long as I got to be with you" Lucia then lifted her head again, tears gone somewhat "The truth is... Gisale..." at this Lucia felt her heart pound violently, threatening to suffocate her as she felt her body shake while holding on to Gisale's shoulders. "The truth is... I... I love you, and have for these past years and won't stop loving you even if you can't be with me" before waiting for a response Lucia grabbed Gisale's shoulders tightly and leaned in, deeply kissing her lips, when she finally released them, her tears had started again slightly "Please, even if you can't love me, just let me have our moment together? Let me have this memory as a happy one?"

General Gisale

Theme-Moonlit Vision

"It's been difficult without you, I missed you so much, wanted to be with you every day. Why did you have to go? Why couldn't you stay with me?!"

Gisale looked down at Lucia, meeting her blue eyes with her own silver eyes. "I just...didn't want to see you get hurt because of me. You know that Lucia." The Lord-General rubbed the back of her head as she cried herself into the officer's bosom. She felt sad looking back at that time, having left Lucia back at her brother's home in Ipsen so she can move for Alexandria. Back then, she was young and dumb, and wanted to run away.

"Gisale I... I always wanted to follow you, no matter what happened to me, it didn't matter as long as I got to be with you."

Gisale looked at her, surprised to hear her say that. Had she been that selfish. She wanted to go it alone because she was afraid of watching someone get hurt because of her mistakes, because of everything that had happened because of this war, and yet...

"The truth is... Gisale...The truth is... I... I love you, and have for these past years and won't stop loving you even if you can't be with me"

"Lucia..." Gisale could only say her name in such a manner, and even before she could process the next thought in her mind, the Genome moved her in for a kiss. This surprised the Lord-General who never would've expected something like this.

"Please, even if you can't love me, just let me have our moment together? Let me have this memory as a happy one?"

Gisale frowned as she tore away from Lucia's grip. After that, in addition to all that has happened...all that will happen. How can she look Lucia in the face anymore. How can she face her...or even Anne for that matter. The whole mess that she had been in and what she is putting herself through now was tearing her apart. "I...I just...don't know." Gisale said, looking down at the ground, before sitting on the stage.

(Annelise Steiner, Twinsword and Atalanta Palaiologos posts will be made tomorrow)

Alleria

Twinsword was right. Without the fear of heights to hinder her this time, she should be able to fight at her full strength. She was also indignant about the fact that the former knew of her weakness. Still, the notion of getting to challenge Annelise somehow interested her.

"Hm, Remilia, I'll go sign up first," Alleria said to Remilia, who was already walking towards the guest bedrooms of rumor. She would find out about those beds later.

"I won't back down from a chance to challenge anyone to a fight - direct or indirect."

She added the last part abruptly, remembering the Festival of the Hunt was really a challenge to see who could take down more monsters in a given time. Alleria would rather have an all out battle against a person than to hunt monsters - which she could easily do outside the city - but traditions were traditions. She doubt Lindblum would have changed much of these rules over the years.

Glancing over to Twinsword, she gestured for her to move. She would follow after the lady to wherever they have to go to sign up.

Aaron Sohm

Sitting there thinking he was wondering on how people enter the Festival of the Hunt,He didn't know who to talk to,to sign up for it.He was hoping someone would come downstairs who was going to sign up and just follow them.

"What a pain.I wanted to enter but I don't even know where the sign up place is..."He grumbled to himself. Then he thought maybe someone from the group may know where to go.He gets up off the couch and walks up the stairs that leads to the guest bedroom's in hopes of running into someone.

Annelise Steiner

Theme-Heaven's Distress

"Anne. I really don't know how to say this without hurting your feelings on this. She is alive.

At first Annelise was happy. Her mentor was alive. They would be able to rescue her whenever they get their chance to. But as he was about to continue, Anne's expression turn to that of shock. Her eyes widening and her hands shook as she heard the news.

But... how to say this... Brandish mentioned your name while I confronted her in Clerya. By that, I mean your full name and rank. Blue wing Lieutenant Annelise Stiener. The only person that should know your name and rank without meeting you should be anyone in Alexandria's Military and your parents.

"No...It can't be true." Anne muttered to Lan

"Do you understand what I am saying. Brandish is Gisale."

"NO, YOU'RE LYING!!!!"
Anne screamed back, tears streaming down her face. "Gisale would never betray us like that! It just can't be true!!!" Anne moved aside from Lan, pushing him aside as she walked away, trying to save face as much as she could. She wanted to be alone and the best place would be at the gates of Lindblum.

Quickly walking away, she moved to the side, avoiding contact with her friends as she went to take the aircab to the Business district.

The Twinsword

"I'll be participating as well. My mother is the current champion, and since she's going to be busy in Alexandria, I'll be representing her. Who knows, I might be able to keep the title in Burmecian hands."

"Is that so?" Twinsword thought to herself as she heard Robert say that.

The mirror and the civilians take priority."

"All right, I'll assist the people of Lindblum as much as I can. That I can promise you."
Twinsword said in a serious tone. She knew that while she wanted to continue the rivalry, she wanted to help the people of Gaia first and foremost.

"Are you even sure she will be entering? For all we know, she might sit this out. In any case, I'll cheer you all on. I don't mind the festival, but I don't like fighting for entertainment. Now if you excuse me, Alleria and I have some sleep to catch up on."

"Hm, Remilia, I'll go sign up first, I won't back down from a chance to challenge anyone to a fight - direct or indirect."

She forgot about Alleria, how she's the one who always looking for a fight. "Well you'll get your chance after I'm done with her, Alleria. Alright, your majesty do you know where the closest sign-up sheet would be?"

Eiko smirked and said in a nonchalant tone, "Over by the aircabs to the castle, you can't miss it."

"Thanks, let's go." Twinsword said before walking down the steps and towards the aircabs. As she headed in that direction, she saw Anne, in a serious look heading towards the aircab She looked like she had tears streaming down her face. "Hey wait a minute!!!" But Anne did not listen, walking to the aircab. Once inside the aircab closed it's doors and sped off west into the city.
