Rior Laistan
Burmecian Inn

The group had traveled to Burmecia after the silver haired woman fled. Rior had felt like shit the whole way. He healed Lan's wounds as asked and that was pretty much the last time he made himself noticed.

He couldn't believe how pathetic he was through that fight.

Once the group made it to the Inn in Burmecia, Rior found his room and locked himself in. He lay on his bed staring at the ceiling thinking about his goal. He wanted to do something with his life, he'd made that speech to Lan and then he did so little in that fight. He really had to work on his courage.

He stayed in his room for hours before he finally decided to leave it. Although what would he do now? He didn't know where Lan was and he didn't really know any of the others in his group.

"Ugh this isn't as fun as I thought it would be..." He muttered to himself as he fixed his bed hair and walked out his room.

He walked outside and leaned on the railing on the small porch and looked out across the town. It was quite a nice looking place, considering how it apparently used to look only a few years ago. He hoped someone would stop by and give him some kind of idea what their plans were next.

Alleria Stormseeker

It doesn't disappoint her that Lan didn't understand. The Ipsen Knights were upstarts compared to the likes of Alexandria. If they are to become stronger, and more respected, she as the representative - an Ambassador - must show a remarkable level of discipline, and skills. Only then can Ipsen earn the respect it deserves.

Still, she cannot help feeling rather fired up by his thinking that it was all for her own reputation. It wasn't, but...

Sighing, she sat up on the bed, frowning. Just as she did, Annelise came in, and she quickly wiped her expression of her face.

"Pardon my interruption, but we have a mission ordered from King Puck. If you will, please meet in my inn room, and we'll explain there."

Nodding, she quickly responded,"Okay, I'll go get Lan."

Saying that, she left the room, and out of the inn where she was expecting Lan to be headed. Indeed he was, and already game to cause trouble at Cleyra. Smiling to herself, she caught up with him.

"Hey," She said, as soon as she was within earshot, and putting on a serious expression. "Head back to Annelise's inn room. We have a direct mission from King Puck of Burmercia."

Turning, she hesitated before stammering.

"E-erm. W-w-well," Taking a breath to relax, she continued,"I'm not doing this simply for my own reputation. The reputation that I need to keep up is greater than mine alone."

Without waiting for his response, she continued towards back into the inn, and into Annelise's room where she waited for further instructions.

Training for a while in the harsh conditions around buremacia, Stephen grew bored of the local monsters and so headed back. walking through the streets of buremacia was a stange experience, back in Lindblum he had seen many people of many races, but here there weren't very many, mostly buremacian, without a genome in sight. Stephen headed back into the hotel and up to his room.

as he walked past Annelise in the hallway he smiled and gave her a "hey" and a nod before continuing towards his room. Where he would most likely find the sleeping Traveller, Nodin, asleep on the spare bed, Stephen didn't mind helping those who needed it, after all, he was a monk at heart.

As Annelise walked past Stephen, she turned around and said to Stephen "Hello." She wasn't sure if he would want to involve himself any further but she was willing to give it a try. Following the monk to his room, Annelise went ahead to say to him. "I forgot to mention, but if you're willing to join with us, meet in my inn room, we have a request from King Puck of Burmecia." Annelise bowed and she would listen to whatever Stephen would say from that. After that, Annelise quickly left the corridor and began heading down to the front gate and out of the inn.

Walking down the Burmecian streets, she found one of the people who joined up with the survivors back on the Aerbs Mountains, the one Lan called "Ri."

Walking up towards the man, Annelise said, "Hello, uh...Ri?"

Lan Ester: Burmecia Inn

"Hey, Head back to Annelise's inn room. We have a direct mission from King Puck of Burmercia."

Lan sighed. It was not that he didn't like the area or anything. It was that he was not a knight of any kind. If anything, he and Rior were mercenaries from the Black Mage Village.

"E-erm. W-w-well, I'm not doing this simply for my own reputation. The reputation that I need to keep up is greater than mine alone."

Lan smiled a bit. "Straight as an arrow." Lan muttered as he turned. In front of the inn, Lan saw Rior and Anne there.

"Ri, I'll meet you in Anne's room. I'll let that cute girl tell you what will happen next." Lan smiled as he pat Rior on the back before rushing to Anne's room. There he saw Alleria there as well as Rob in the room.

"Looks like everyone involved in the crash will be helping out eh." Lan said as he found a support beam overhead. One quick jump and latch on with his tail and Lan hung from his spot looking at the pair.

Leaving Twin Sword's area in the tunnel and returning to the surface Ricard made his way to the Burmecia Inn, having not met with Fratley yet he was unaware that they had their rooms paid for. Being told as such he took his leave to his room, it was then that he examined his fairly damaged armour, at this point it was going to be little more than a burden, he'd have to rely on his agility for now. As such, his Iron Sword wasn't going to do him any favours due to it's weight so he discarded it in favour of his katana.

Once he removed his armour and cast it aside he adjusted himself to his fresh lightweightedness, least compared to the heavy armour holding him down. Replacing the Katana on his belt he looked around the room, it was far too small for him to readjust himself to his katana, he'd end up cutting the walls apart yet in this constant rain, outside training was unadvisable unless he wanted a cold.

Rior Laistan
Burmecian Inn

As Rior was staring out into the distance soaking in this new world around him he hadn't noticed one of the female knights from the crash walk up behind him.

"Hello, uh...Ri?" she called him by that silly nickname Lan had given him.

He jumped a little, tail hairs standing on end. "Oh hi...." the Genome turned around and smiled at the brunette.

"Er, you can call me Rior, I don't really like that nickname...Lan just decided to give it to me... and you are?" As he spoke, Lan appeared. "And speak of the devil..." He said with a smile.

"Ri, I'll meet you in Anne's room. I'll let that cute girl tell you what will happen next." and with that he ran off.

Well Rior wasn't too sure who Anne was or where her room was so he hoped this girl could help him, not knowing that she was the Anne Lan had just spoken of.

"Heh... so... Anne's room is?" He asked her with a look of confusion. "I'll follow you."

Annelise Steiner

"Oh hi....Er, you can call me Rior, I don't really like that nickname...Lan just decided to give it to me... and you are?"

Before Anne could give Rior her name, Lan appeared behind her. "And speak of the devil..."

"Ri, I'll meet you in Anne's room. I'll let that cute girl tell you what will happen next."

"Heh... so... Anne's room is? I'll follow you."

"My room is on the right side of the inn, third door on the right." Annelise said, also confirming his suspicions on who she is.

"I wish I could help you find it, but I have to go and find Ricard." Almost immediately after she said this, she saw a man in armor came up on the porch and entered the inn. "Who could he be, and why is he wearing that Pluto Knight Armor?"

Annelise began heading into the inn, looking to find the man. Looking down each room, she finally found him, in the adjacent room next to hers, Ricard's room. She looked into the room and saw the same man, but he was now wearing a funny getup, almost like a Samurai from one of Lord Avon's plays.

"Who are you, and why are you in my comrade's room?"
Annelise said to the man, wondering just who he might be, and holding onto her sword, still in its sheath.

Ricard, barely even having time to settle into the calming silence was quickly interrupted by his door being opened.

"Who are you, and why are you in my comrade's room?"

Ricard turned to face her "Do you so quickly forget an ally? I am Ricard, obviously my face was unknown to you, and I would advise not jumping to your sword so easily, you're liable to kill more than you save with that way of thinking"

Picking up the chest armour he directed Annelise's attention to the dents and huge scratches in the armour "as you can see, it's hardly fit for it's intended purpose, this outfit would serve me better under the circumstances, unless you have an objection to my appearance?"

Ricard then let out a light sigh as he shook his head, turning away "this is the second time today i've had to give out a lecture, and to think i'm supposed to be one of the lower ranks..."

Stephen smiled as Anne informed him to go to her room, as they had mission from king puck what could the king possibly want with a monk, although the king probably didn't realise they had a summoner and black mage who looked like a monk, and the group didn't know about his summoning ability.

Stephen made his way to Anne's room, where he found Alleria, Robert and Lan. "alright guys, Monk and black mage reporting for duty" he announced as a joke "well i suppose i could be called a monk mage or black Monk" he joked still smiling before he walked over to a chair and sat down "and now we wait" he muttered with a more serious tone in his voice

Theme-Rose of April

Anne got a bit flustered as Ricard said this. Letting go of the grip of her sword, the Alexandrian Knight said, "M-My apologies..." Anne then looked at Ricard's battered armor, and then he spoke once more. "as you can see, it's hardly fit for it's intended purpose, this outfit would serve me better under the circumstances, unless you have an objection to my appearance?"

Of course, Anne did object to it in private, how can you proudly show your colors without your armor after all. Yet, it did not matter, his armor was damaged very badly, and in its condition, it wouldn't do him much good.

"I..I have no objections. I'm...just a bit uneasy that's all. Please accept my apologies." Annelise bowed down for a moment. It was customary of her to apologize if she was mistaken.

OOC: Short post for limited time.

Robert Crescent

Robert would wait until everyone that Annelise was able to get had come into the room, along with Annelise herself. Once everyone was in the room, he would then close the door and get everyone to huddle together so he could speak to them without risk of his voice carrying. "Alright, here's the plan. My mother is going to lead her company out to evacuate the Cleyran people late this night using a hidden tunnel that the Cleyrans and Burmecians used to use back when Cleyra had the sandstorm. Our mission is to accompany them into Cleyra, but while mother and her company rescue the citizens, our task is to find and rescue the stadtholder of Cleyra, Samuel. We are to be his personal guard and escort for this mission. I know Cleyra pretty well, so I know where he resides. Of course, he may have been moved to a different place since the capture of Cleyra, but going to his residence is the best bet to start the search. Anyone who does not wish to be part of this, you are welcomed to step out. Otherwise, we head for Cleyra and wait for the mission to begin. Are there any questions?" Robert asked.

Lan thought about the plan a bit before something hit him.

"What about the army? They occupy Clerya after all and I doubt they let a group of Alexendria and Bumercian rookies with two mercenaries of the Black Mage Village stroll around. We need a distraction." Lan pointed out from his position of hanging.

It wasn't that he didn't think going during the night was a bad idea. It the fact that they were going during the night into the enemies' footstep with the only aid available to them being whoever came with the group and whatever help they can get in Clerya.

Alleria Stormseeker

Alleria knew it was a joke that Stephen was attempting, but her dry laughter gave away her disability to understand the humor. Nevertheless, in an attempt to change the subject, she said,"Maybe if I were more fearsome in battle, I'll be a Terror Knight, ha ha."

This joke literally fell flat on itself when she realized the name sounded much better than she had intended it to be.

"... And now we wait."

Alleria couldn't agree more.

They quietly waited as everyone involved in this upcoming mission arrived before Robert spoke. Alleria paid her fullest attention. It was admittedly exciting for her to note that famous names like Freya was working jointly with them on this mission.

Lan spoke out, pointing out that the enemies may not let them in so easily.

It was true, except that only applies if the enemies knew of the secret entrance that Robert spoke of. Defenses were a given - it was only a matter of how strong they were.

"It's not a bad idea, but the casualties may be unnecessarily heavy."

"I..I have no objections. I'm...just a bit uneasy that's all. Please accept my apologies."

As Annelise bowed in apology Ricard approached her and gave her a light pat on the head "You don't have to do that around me you know, we're equal rank. You seriously need to loosen up sometimes, we're not on a mission, you are allowed to be casual sometimes you know"

Ricard turned around and sighed slightly before putting the battered armour back on the floor "besides, i'm not a man of decoration, the armour is nothing but a symbol of Alexandria's military, however this outfit is far more useful to me and is much less replacable than a suit of armour. One day you too might realise what is better to protect between your treasures and your duty, it's not an evil act to think of yourself sometimes"

Ricard walked back to Annelise and lifted up her chin gently so she looked at him "why not just think of us as friends, rather than comrades? Would that help you ease up?"

Amarant landed lightly on his feet in the cavern at the bottom of the sand swirl that protected the entrance to the den of the antlion. The beast let out a piercing cry of challenge and clacked its pincers furiously. Crouching to leap back into the fray with the beast, Amarant paused as he heard the sound of someone landing behind him. Sighing in frustration, and without turning around, Amarant spoke. "I suppose now I'm in charge of keeping you alive. Don't count on it."

Reaching to his hip, Amarant withdrew a throwing weapon from its clasp holder. He launched it in the direction of the great beast's eyes. With alarming speed, he raced toward the belly of the monster, Rune Claws extended and aimed directly at the soft underside now exposed as the creature leaned backward to avoid the pinwheel.

Aaron Sohm
Antlion Pit

"I suppose now I'm in charge of keeping you alive. Don't count on it."

Aaron: Keeping me alive, heh what kind of suicidal person jump's into a swirling sand pit with a wound like that!

I cant sit by and watch someone act so wrecklessly besides...I can take care of myself..

Aaron Walk's over to the man who had his weapon drawn,he rushes forward and jump's above the man who took the underbelly,Aaron swing's his sword giving it a Yellow glow.

Aaron: Crushing Blow!!

Aaron announces his attack and swing's his sword down with a huge force, the Antlion tries to block it with it's pincer's but the Attack cut's through one of the Pincer's and damages the other..Damn I thought it would cut them both this thing has some strong arm-!!Before he could finish his thought the Antlion Pushes him back,Aaron Land's on his feet and looks as the Antlion tries to kick the other man

Aaron:Try not to get yourself killed!!

((OOC:his battle stance looks like squall's from Dissidia for reference))

"You don't have to do that around me you know, we're equal rank. You seriously need to loosen up sometimes, we're not on a mission, you are allowed to be casual sometimes you know"

The way Ricard said this didn't surprise Annelise a bit, after all he was a Pluto Knight. Still he was right and as he pated her on the head, she said looking up at Ricard, "W-Well..." but he continued.

"besides, i'm not a man of decoration, the armour is nothing but a symbol of Alexandria's military, however this outfit is far more useful to me and is much less replacable than a suit of armour. One day you too might realise what is better to protect between your treasures and your duty, it's not an evil act to think of yourself sometimes"

The comment made Annelise a bit flustered, to her, and it was more evident with her parents, duty was everything to a knight. What did he know about that? It was customary, a code as a knight to be honorbound to the sovereign monarch, not to mention to put other people's needs before her own. The only thing a knight needs to have for herself is their clothes, weapon and their honor. Though with all the things she had been through her life, honor was something she herself didn't feel like she had.

"why not just think of us as friends, rather than comrades? Would that help you ease up?" Ricard said, pulling her chin up

"Well...alright." Annelise smiled as she said that. She then realized something "Oh, come to my room, Robert has a request for us, a mission from King Puck of Burmecia. Come on!" Annelise said before walking out of Ricard's room.

Amarant's claws sliced into the antlion's belly as his thrown pinwheel simultaneously connected on one side of the antlion's head. The glancing blow struck by the pinwheel did little in the way of damage to the beast, but it had been simply a distraction to allow Amarant's claws to find purchase in the soft, exposed belly of the antlion. The claws dug deep, scoring a gaping wound on the antlion. Before Amarant could leap back, he heard a crunch coming from the direction of the antlion' head. Looking up, he had just enough time to see a falling pincer. A pincer covered in venom. A venom which, were it to touch any part of Amarant's body, remembering that he had already used his last vial of antitode, would have paralyzed him wholly, leaving him at the mercy of the great beast. And the great beast's mercy usually ended up with someone being in its stomach, digesting.

Amarant leaped sideways and rolled into a crouched position. The blow struck by the young person who had followed him into the den of the antlion was a strong one, as evidenced by the high pitched keening emanating from the creature. It was a sound full of anger, fear, and pain. It was enough to force the antlion to withdraw deeper into its cave, leaving the two fighters safe. For now.

As the antlion withdrew, a flash in a niche of one of the walls of the cavern caught Amarant's attention. Approaching the inset portion of the wall, Amarant recognized immediately what had caused the flash. He had seen this before, and was momentarily surprised that this was the relic that the Oeilvertians were searching for.

This..... complicates things, he thought to himself, suddenly realizing that his service to Oeilvert had most likely reached its conclusion. He no longer felt it was in his best interest to be a part of the conquering army, such as he had ever been. Reaching up, he took the relic in one hand and began walking deeper into the cave, starting his search for a way out.

Aaron Sohm
Antlion's Lair

As the Antlion withdrew from the battle and vanished deeper into the cave,Aaron stabbed his sword into the ground walking over to the pincer wet with venom..Hmm..I should take a sample with me might be able to make a antidote to this later on..Aaron take's a Vial out of his pant's and makes some of the Venom Drip into it,it fill's to about 50% and her plugs it up and slides it back into his pocket, looking up he begin's to speak again.

Aaron:There..now where..Great he's gone..

Aaron runs over, grab's his sword and looks at the cavern's routes he see's the footprint's of the man in the sand and chases after him,in about 10 minutes he finally catches up to the man with red hair, annoyed he run's up to him and speaks again.

Aaron:Hey you know it's kinda rude to leave your Support behind..And why were you even around here anyway..

He walks with the man and remember's why he came here in the first place,he decides to ask the man since he seem's like a knowlageable man.

Aaron:Since you've probably been around here for a bit I'm looking for a man named..Amarant,I heard he was around here...

I'm looking for him so I can challange him to a duel..So I can prove I'm worthy of becoming a knight..
