[Role-Play] Epitaph

((OOC: Sorry for the huge delay, been in a stump lately ~_~))

Kuro | Revenge

Kuro who was still in shock over Alicia's death stood up once again, everyone was fighting Skeith to the best of their abilities players were getting killed left and right by Skeiths massive scythe.

"Alright... I think its time I stop sulking... She may still be ok in real life..." He reassures himself before grabbing the scythe from his back.

He placed his scythe in one hand and brought the other up to his face channeling dark energy to his hand, "Xeros" He said throwing the charged up spell beneath Skeiths feet, this immobilized him long enough for Kuro to cast another skill, "Chain of Hell" He spoke again throwing the chain at Skeiths left foot wrapping around it, he finally casts a final attack, "Rengeki!" He yelled out towards Skeith using the chain to launch himself towards Skeith just before he reaches Skeith he grabs his Scythe with both hands and slams it into Skeiths left leg dealing a little damage.

-----------------------

Skeith | Toppling God

Skeith was killing off players who were getting too sloppy, causing more victims to the "True Death" before he realized it, he was immobile, when Skeith looked to his feet he saw a chain wrap around his leg, when he looked up to see where it was connected it was too late to notice the player charging in for a attack, he felt some pain as he got cut in the leg and fell forward onto his own face.

Rieko and Coco watched as Skeith fell forwards. They ran behind Skeith and got together. Coco looked at Skeith and asked Rieko, "Is that it?" Rieko replied, "I think that's it." They paused for a moment to see if Skeith's body was going to disappear. Coco turned and looked at Rieko. She said, "I think we should run around more before we hit another event like this." Rieko said, "I wonder if they know what happened in real life when someone was hit by that skill."

Skeith Arises

The Attack Skeith got hit with last seemed to deal some damage but not enough to finish him, Skeith slams its arms onto the ground and pushes itself back up on its feet, once on its feet again its aura glows a bright red before letting our a massive roar that shook the room like a earthquake.

I stabs the hilt of his scythe into the ground and raises its hand in the air, A weird kind of bracelet forms around Skeiths hand it lets out another massive roar before a massive amount of streams shoot out, the streams go and hit players around the area making them fade like Alicia.

((OOC: Please be sure to dodge, it's not gonna kill the main players but it was ment to kill others and intimidate us.))

Anzu
It's No Use!!!

Watching Kuro just drop Skeith right on his face gave Anzu a little cheer. At first, she thought she would have reason to celebrate their victory over the god. But as it turned out, it seemed that Skeith was I phased and started to come to his feet. He was glowing bright red, displaying a larger height of his power and causing the room to shake like a powerful earthquake, causing Anzu to fall on her butt from the force generated. Anzu watched, almost helplessly as she saw the god raise his hand up towards the ceiling, a glowing light forming a bracelet around his wrist. With a massive roar, he saw several streams of light surge forward. Anzu saw these streams hit fellow players, watching them scream in pain and shear agony before disappearing like Alicia. It was then, that she realized why Kuro was acting like that. Suddenly one such beam was heading towards Anzu. Quickly getting back to her feet she would run aside, and quickly sidestep, to avoid the homing attack, barely. But the move very much intimidated the girl, who looked wide-eyed and breathing heavily. "T-This...isn't fun...anymore." She said to herself as she looked at the god, trying to at least recompose herself, lest she ended up dead.

Kuro | A Chance

As Skeith attacked many players Kuro seemed to still be only focused on Skeith, after its attack launched Kuro dodged the stream that was sent towards him and took the chance to destroy Skeiths Scythe, Kuro brought his Scythe back out and swung it into the base, Kuro used all his strength to cut it in half. "BREAK DAMMIT!!!!", after a few moments the large pole cut in half destroying Skeiths main weapon.

"We have a chance now! His weapons gone he can only punch or use that bracelet! Watch it carefully and Attack!!" Kuro yelled out to the remaining players who were probably in fear still from the last attack.

OOC: Srry yu, but i ahd this up and forgot to submit, so ill be taking time back a bit before i dodge it

Gozen Matabei

Take every chance

Matabei spotted Skeith take a nose dive to the ground after Kuro's chain combo and her instinct kicked in with a short combo of her own. Activating shoulder charge, Matabei shot forward and rammed hard into the Boss's head. Its stun effect wasn't necessary since it was already down. What it does do is give her additional momentum for her chain sweep. At the apex of her charge, Matabei let swing with Yatagarasu with Chain Sweep, resulting in a chain of 8 tight coned swings before finishing off with a strong front kick to spring backwards. It was just as luck would have it because the moment she leapt back, Skeith let off a barrage of beams, one which burned a hole just a few centimeters from where she was. Others were not so lucky as dozens fell to the attack and it took Matabei's all to keep on the move and survive. Armour seems to matter little as everyone that got hit directly dies.

We have a chance now! His weapons gone he can only punch or use that bracelet! Watch it carefully and Attack!!"

Kuro's voice echoed through the chamber and above the anguished cries of those dying. Despite being one of the more experienced player in the fight, even Matabei didn't just charge in with her regular gusto. The entire situation of the game has changed. Thoughts of just continually dodging coursed through her mind, hoping that perhaps someone else can take the charge, but her good conscience wouldn't allow her to cower.

Right! Let's go guys! Its fight or die! Throw everything at it! Uraaaaaaaaaa!

With a loud battle cry, Matabei steeled her resolve, tried to rally the others and charged, weaving about and avoiding the fist strikes that began to rain down and launched her own power attacks with Yatagarasu. So far, she was dodging the attacks and launching her own ones up front by herself, but if the others don't jump in soon, then it would be mere minutes until one of those big fists hit their mark.

Lex and Cecilly managed to dodge the weird attack, they saw that it would be bad news if they got hit by it. Most of the time fighting this beast was spent dodging by now since it was firing those blue beams everytime it could. Finally one of the other players managed to break it's scythe and give some shouts of encouragement. This was a moment both of them were waiting for, now with it's weapon gone they could mount a better assault. Cecilly jumped back to a corner of the room and began to charge her fan as a magic glyph appeared beneath her, meanwhile Lex started to run around in a large circle around the beast.

They both yelled in unison "Storm Dance of Equita Fire" Cecilly threw her fan into the air and it started to fly in circles, meanwhile Lex joined his two Katars together and rotated them above his head as he jumped towards the fan. The fan sent a wave of the fire energy into Lex's blade as he got close enough, upon landing Lex separated his blades once again. While still running around in circles Lex swept his blades towards Skeith causing energy blades of Fire to fly towards him, and while this was happening energy bolts of fire began to rain down upon Skeith from Cecilly's fan. As both forms of the fire meant it looked to cause a huge explosion of fire within the circle and the blast went upwards with the center of the blast focusing on Skieth.

Lex jumped back just as their attack reached the final part, breathing heavily he looked over to his sister, while she seemed ti be winded she wasn't near worse for the wear he was. This attack took a toll on them but more for himself as he had to run in the circle to keep it going. Now he was hoping the creature would be stunned enough since he doubted now from seeing him that their attack could kill him, that another player could finish him off. If not he was praying Cecilly could throw a heal spell his way or he may be the next one to get hit by that attack, he felt like he could barely move right now.

Anzu
A Burning Counteroffensive

Despite the events and all the horrible events that occurred, Anzu prepared to steel herself, getting herself ready for battle once more. With the encouraging words of all who survived, and now moving to attack Skeith, she looked straight at the boss, looking as if a fire was burning in her soul. What helped was Kuro's destruction of Skeith's scythe. With Matabei striking at the god with her powerful polearm and with Lex & Ceciliy attacking with magic, it meant Anzu was now up to bat.

The white haired woman brought her sword towards her left side, facing downward. And as soon as soon as Lex and Ceciliy's attack made that huge explosion, she would charge forward, focusing her spirit to her sword as it started to glow a brilliant red color. The attacks continued but Anzu was agile enough to shift from left to right, avoiding any further attacks. With the fury of the flames raging on, Anzu leaped forward swinging her sword precisely, twice aimed directly for the god's throat, and firing off powerful and quick blades of energy, seeking to use the powerful and precise magic attack to leave lethal lacerations on Skeith's neck.

Anzu would quickly land on her feet, and quickly jumped back twice, trying to keep her distance from the indomitably powerful creature. Here's hoping that her attack would do him in.

Skeith | The Weakening

Skeith suffered quite a bit of damage from the players attacks, The battle had been taking its toll on the massive god of death. After the last attack Skeiths Health had finally dropped to 30% of its max the players who fought and survived are close to defeating Skeith.

Without his Scythe and relying on his Bracelet Skill and Bare Claws, it was only a matter of time before Skeith fell to the players.

Rei
~A Glimmer of Hope~

// It was a long and enduring battle against Skeith. The quest title "The Hunt of the God" was aptly named. This was certainly much more than Rei had bargained for from an MMO RPG.

Many of the other players were unable to evade Skeith's attacks quickly enough and they had fallen. Luckily there was still a good group of players who managed to survive the battle thus far, including her former party members Lex, Cecilly, Rieko and Coco.

"Don't worry, everyone! I got your back!" Rei opened her grimoire and hastily casted Repth on the nearby players.

Although Skeith had only about 30% of his max HP remaining, there was no telling how strong his next wave of attacks would be. In other RPGs that Rei had played, bosses usually unleashed their most deadly of attacks towards the end of the battle.

Rei positioned herself a good enough distance away from Skeith and casted Dek Orv and Dek Orma, temporarily reducing his attack and defense stats. "Alright guys, this would be a pretty good time to give it everything you got!"

"Rue Kruz!" Strong blasts of water crashed onto Skeith's claws and torso, taking a good hit on his health. However, Rei knew that her magic attack wouldn't be enough to land the final blow.

'Just a little more 'til we can finally say this is over...' //

Kuro | Final Assault

Skeiths HP kept dropping little by little, the few remaining players figured out his attack patterns by now and was able to dodge most of his killing attacks, Kuro used his Chain again, this time it wrapped onto Skeiths Left arm, Skeith pulled hard and launched Kuro towards him, once Kuro was in grabbing range Skeith stopped his advance and caught Kuro in his large claw.

"Dammit, Let me go!" Kuro struggled thankfully one of his arms was out and was able to swing his Scythe down onto Skeiths Hand it did enough to open his hand, when he did Kuro used his now freed hand and jumped atop his arm running up the arm to his head before bringing his Scythe up and unleashing his skill. "Reap" His Scythe glowed a light purple hue before he swung it down with what energy he had left, Skeith roared in pain as the Players Scythe gashed his neck deeply knocking his health down to 5%, Kuro quickly jumped off Skeiths body and jumped back a few steps to recover.

"Damn, We're so close!" Kuro said aloud, before the others could finish off Skeith it let out one more large roar before a red domed aura appeared around it, it's so powerful it seems as though Skeith can't contain it.

"What the... Oh no! EVERYONE GET AWAY FROM IT NOW!" Kuro yelled in panic, but before anyone knew it Skeith Exploded a large domed red shockwave begins to slowly expand towards the players, some of the players closest to it were engulfed and killed by the waves force, Kuro turned around and began running towards the doors, chances are the shockwave wouldn't engulf the whole room.

Rieko watched as the others fought Skeith and said, "I was right. We broke through its shell." Coco looked at the area and said, "All those who fell honorably died." Rieko and Coco looked up at the red light above Skeith. They looked at each other and ran around Skeith to get to the doors when the source of the light exploded. Then, they went into the next room and teleported out of the area. They found themselves back in town by the Gate. Rieko started walking towards the Quest Shop followed by Coco. They finished the quest by returning to the Quest Shop and receiving their reward. They found new items in their inventory. Rieko and Coco received a Pha Repth Expansion Gemstone, Scathe Expansion Gemstone, and 200 SS.

Coco said, "I'm sure we'll hear something if anything odd happened. What now?" Rieko replied, "We should register for The Black Wolf quest to kill time." Coco said, "We need to become stronger if we're going to do something like the last event again. What do we do in The Black Wolf quest?" Rieko registered the two of them for the quest and said, "It's a race. You can win a new custom skill." The details of the quest showed that one person of the registered party gets to race the Black Wolf lucky animal. It gave him Concealed Her Yin Beast as the area words. Then, they ran towards the Gate.

OOC: Again... bloody post didnt post >.>

Gozen Matabei

Purely Cinematic

All things considered, Matabei was in quite good condition. Players faded left right and center as Skeith's attack tear right through their bodies. For herself, Matabei only suffered some minor damage, all thanks to the by-the-hair dodging. Even then, her health bar has dropped down past half, but with the combined attacks of all the players, Skeith's own health chipped away and finally, it reached down below 5%. They were so close and all the remaining player's morale rose at the prospect of surviving. However, Skeith had one more card up his sleeve in the form of some energy burst.

"What the... Oh no! EVERYONE GET AWAY FROM IT NOW!"

Matabei didn't need to be told twice. Without even waiting to blink, she turned on her feet and pounded the ground as hard as she could, willing her feet as much as she could. The death screams of those too close to Skeith was brutally cut short as the burst exploded and expanded. All she could do was follow closely behind Kuro and gunned for the door.

Graaaaah! DAAAAMNIIIIT!

She didnt think that the players were going to be able to outrun the burst and it seems like it was down to whether they could get out of the room or the burst runs out before it reached them and ride out the shockwave

Anzu
Retreat! Retreat!

It seemed that teamwork was the decisive factor in this battle. Already, Skeith's health was just around 5%, and it would take another concerted attack to off him and finish this quest...or so it would seem.

As Anzu looked closely, she saw the God charge and utilize an, albeit suicidal, energy attack which would threaten to kill everyone in the vicinity.

"What the... Oh no! EVERYONE GET AWAY FROM IT NOW!"

Anzu didn't need to hear that to understand, and with that began to hightail it towards the exit, following Kuro and Matabei as they headed towards the door and somewhat muttering curses under her breath as she tried to quickly make it to the door. The screams of those felled by Skeith's recent attack was nothing short of scary, even by normal standards. But as she kept going at it, hoping that either the shockwave wouldn't vaporize everyone in the room, or hopefully the door would open and they would escape.

After standing around in what looked like a quest room, Yamato found none of the quests were suited to her level, not to mention her liking. "So many hunting quests, isn't there anything less violent?" Finding no quests to answer this question she sighed and left the building "there's plenty of people dressed for fighting, but doesn't that armour get uncomfortable sometimes?" in Yamato's case she had already removed the armoured additions to her outfit, making her clothes easier to move around in. Walking around the main town Yamato tried to get her bearings, this was a strange place to her so she'd have to get used to it "I wonder if there's an houses to stay in?" Seeing nothing but shops, NPCs and players running in all directions Yamato again, found no answer to her questions. Eventually she found what she assumed was the town center, this could be the place to find out where everything was.

Taking a look at a large signpost Yamato discovered that it was a large scale map of the entire town, as well as where all the exits led to, just as she was about to memorise a path to take that didn't seem to go anywhere dangerous she heard a familiar name behind her.

"You know that Ryoku guy right? That top PvP guy? I heard he's somewhere nearby"

"No way! Why would he hang around in the home town?"

"I'm serious, I got this info from a credible source, I heard he's in the to-"

At this point Yamato had approached them "did you say Ryoku? Where is he?"

The two players looked her up and down before replying "a fan of his, eh? Well the word is he's by the home town fountain, if you see him don't let him get away, he's a slippery one since he's a pro now"

Yamato nodded and ran back to the town center, seeing a large fountain she saw only one young man stood by it, recognising his hair and build she ran over to him and embraced him tightly from behind "guess who joined up at last! You could've told me you were on today and met me, i've been lost since I got here, everyone I spoke to just kept giving me items..."

Ryoku
Clear Skies

After having been interrupted in his last gaming session by family matters, Ryoga was forced to log off, or rather disconnect without saying a word. And to have made matters worse, he was at the main event of the game's launch. [The Hunt for a God]. Fast forward a few hours later and Ryoga was free again, to play The World.

He quickly setup his gear and logged in, building with much anticipation.

Much to his dismay, Ryoku figured out that if you had been logged off for more than 1 hour during the event was going on, you'd be kicked off the event and will not receive any bonuses whatsoever.

A bummed out Ryoku now aimlessly roamed around Arcadia. It was feeling so much emptier than then when everyone was going crazy over the event. He eventually found himself in the center of Arcadia, next to the largest scaled fountain one would ever see in real-life, or in game. There was no other structure like it.

If one had to guess, the fountain was purposely built that way to be a landmark, and an easy gather up place. It was also one of Ryoku's few favorite spots to hang out at.

Letting off a sigh, "man...this sucks." He looked up to the sky. "Even for an artificial world, this surely feels like the real thing". He gazed at the sky watching clouds slowly break up and fuse with other groups of clouds.

He was about to sit down, until "oof" someone from behind ran over to Ryoku and hugged him, almost causing him to fall face first to the ground. Luckily though, he caught himself and restored his balance.

"HEY! HEY! What the hell! I'm right here you know! What's wrong with you, sheesh."

He pushed away the player that hugged him away gently and turned around. Ryoku's face was somewhat dumbfounded. It was someone who he wasn't expecting at all to play, let alone even think about it. He knew who it was, although, with his sense of humor, he pretended to not know who she was.

"And you are...?"

Ryoku crossed his arms and waited for an answer. "OH! You're looking for items!" Ryoku waved his hands in front of him and a menu appeared. He scrolled over to ITEMS and searched for an item of little value and use. He found what he was looking for soon after, [Crystal Stone].

He clicked on the item and it materialized into Ryoku's hand and then offered it to Yamato. "Here, take this!"

Yamato politely accepted the item, taking it when offered and thanking Ryoku with a bow. "Wait, that's not what I wanted!" Yamato put her hands on her hips and examined the young man "just as I thought, Ryoga, you don't need to hide from me you know, it's me Rose!" she smiled softly and put the item away "so I hear you're some big shot in here now, much be nice to be so popular, i'm not interrupting anything am I?" Yamato scanned around the area around them "Are you on your own too? Since I just got here I don't know anyone yet, can I tag along if you're not busy?" Yamato, practically forcing a yes grabbed Ryoku's arm and held on to it, unaware of the attention that just got drawn on her.

"Since i'm still just a newbie I hope I won't be a hindrance on you, I don't know what high level characters do after all"

Rei
~Escaping the Blast~

// Just as it seemed that Skeith was finally going to be defeated, a glowing red light illuminated over his body. The red aura grew larger as it began to engulf the boss battle area.

"What the... Oh no! EVERYONE GET AWAY FROM IT NOW!" Kuro yelled out, quite panicked.

'Oh great, this is exactly what I had expected...!' Rei thought as she had feared the worst. She watched as some of the more skilled players had scrambled towards the doors. She ran after them, but unfortunately the doors appeared to still be closed. It looked as though there was no escape from the blast!

Other more unfortunate players had been seemingly destroyed by the red light as bits and pieces of their data had been fragmented, eventually vanishing altogether. The entire scene had left Rei very worried, and although this was only a "game," she desperately wanted to survive.

'I wonder what it feels like to actually die in this game... Would I feel some sort of a sensation in real life?' Rei winced at the thought.

Rei pressed her hands against the doors as though they would magically open with the palms of her hands. She closed her eyes and quietly chanted a hopeful mantra.

'Please let this be the end. Let's return whence we began.' //

Ryoku chuckled at Rose. "Yeah, yeah. I knew it was you."

"so I hear you're some big shot in here now, much be nice to be so popular, i'm not interrupting anything am I?"

Ryoku looked at Yamato all befuddled, "where'd you get that from?" He asked. "I'm not a big shot or anything. I was a beta player, that's about it." Having said that, Ryoku was completely unaware that he was a Top 5 player in the game's leaderboards.

Moments later Yamato grabbed Ryoku's arm and started going on about partying with him.

"Hey, get offfffff. I don't wanna do anything right now. I'm lazy and bored."

Ryoku complained, but that was to no avail, he was basically being dragged by the arm by Yamato, while his body was practically sliding on the floor, refusing to move. He walked with her bearing an unamused face. The few players who stayed at the town looked at Ryoku and Yamato with weird faces, not knowing what to expect.

"Yeah, a little help here guys!" He yelled out to a group of people, but they all just laughed and shrugged off his plea for help.

Yamato heard her friend calling out to the bystanders surrounding them and chuckled to herself "what's the matter? You won't need a huge group for anything at my level, it'll probably be a little too easy" continuing to walk him around, a thought came to mind "really, shouldn't you be leading me? I have no idea where to go, do you know any good places?" Gently releasing his arm she turned to face him, awaiting a reply "i'll make sure to watch your back so I don't get in the way" as she said this she saw a lot of people looking at them, it made for an awkward atmosphere so she grabbed Ryoku's hand and pulled him away, dragging him around to find a spot where nobody was nearby.

"So, did you have anything in mind? I hope this isn't bothering you too much, having me here that is" she had a concerned look, she didn't want to become a bother to him if this was an inconvenience.
