Whew....I found a new forum! I've been disconnected (No internet, AHHH!) for four years now, and the board I used to post at is gone. Time for a reset, and this seems to be a fairly comfy new home. Wide topic variety, fresh posts & threads, seems like the place is under control, and people seem fairly friendly.

Hopefully you guys will be as happy to have me as I am to be here.

FFs under my belt - VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, X-2, XII, XIII, Crisis Core; Played (But haven't finished) all of the rest except XI.

Also-KH 1, 2, BBS.

Sorry in advance if I have to bug all of you with stupid questions. "All your base are belongs to us" is about as current as I am as far as the net goes. :P

I feel bad for you not having internet for four years, but if you want a refresh on common internet culture, go look up "RayWilliamJohnson" on YouTube, he reviews all the viral internet memes and videos of today. If you want to catch up on gaming, I'm sure you know where to go as IGN and GameStop WERE around 4 years ago. Lots has developed since four years ago! o.o Now we have HD video on YouTube... Now that I think about it... Wow... THE WORLD SHALL ADVANCE RAPIDLY!

I was just much more of an 11 year old idiot back then... Be glad you weren't here in those days...
 
Hey don't sweat it, I had a 56K modem all my life up until 3 years ago, and am just now discovering fancy things like Flash, PDFs, memes, emotes, and the ability to watch more than one 5-minute video per day :neomon: So you're probably better off than me XD

No newbie bashing? Really? Wow. Maybe I have been gone too long.

Well, thank you all (so far at least :P) for the warm welcome. Oh, and thanks for the tip Gabe, I'll be sure to do so. I've been able to sneak online at friend's houses here and there so I know some of what's going on, but a full update would be handy.

Gamingway - Did you ever have any bad days where you were supposed to be getting 56k dialup but it was more like 26 instead? Made me want to tear my hair out!

I go into cold sweats when my nets down for like a week... though I do get things done, I remember last time it went down - well, time before last, I repainted evert last bit of woodwork in the house. I never want to see white gloss again

How to live without internet for four years:
You don't. It makes you practically non-existant in today's world. I also didn't have cable TV, and I still don't have a cell phone. Nearest Wal-Mart is 30 miles away, nearest mall is 60. (Family, books, and my dearly departed PS3 got me through most of it.)

So, I basically was a nonentity for four years. Or a Nobody, if you please.

I think I prefer "Nobody". I think you all know why. :P
 
I don't think I can live without the net for 4 weeks, let alone 4 years. :ness:
