Happy halloween, folks. It's October 31st, so after I saw that "post ur dreams (lazy typing...SkyRav used 'ur'. :ness:)", thought of a version that is for some of those ones that might have you waking up with your heart racing from waking up from running for your life from who knows who or what...or something like that.

As for me, I can never really any dreams or nightmares I have, just a couple, one having recurred every once in a pretty long while, a situation of infinite loneliness and emptiness.

That nightmare is something there isn't much to remember about...as I was the only living being for seeming infinite amount of distance all around, in an endless green grid like ground/floor.

There wasn't any objects either, there was nothing but this endless black space, all black except the green grid (ever played Metal Gear Solid VR Missions? The grid is like that).

I would call out, but only echoes answered, even my footsteps echoed to a degree, I was truly lost, until I awoke from it.

So what nightmares have you had? Some of them may give some Halloween scares. :smartass:
 
Oh, I've had more nightmares than dreams or fantasies in my lifetime. :gasp:

A recurring one I have is the typical one when I'm being chased by a man and I end up stopping at a cliff to fling myself off to prevent myself from being murdered. I wake up each time I hit the cold water. xD

There are others, but I'll post them when I can remember them.
 
I've actually never had a nightmare. I've dreamed of things happening to me that were bad (bitten by a snake, falling down stairs) but I've never had a truly terrifying dream. I guess I should consider myself lucky.

^ Yeah, dreams aren't fun, they can give a bit of a scare...I have Eczema on my hands, so one night I had a nightmare of a bunch of animals trying to attack my hands.

At first I was just sitting on a couch, until at one point one of the cats jumped on top of the couch, was just behind my head, then lashed out at one of my hands, then I got up off the couch, he kept trying to attack at my hand like some wild animal, caused me to run right out of the house closing him behind the door to outside.

And that was just the start, it got ugly when I got outside, can't even remember all the animals that I had chasing me, first it was my dog, who eventually broke off the chain (as she has done several times in reality. <_<), then I went off running down the side of the road.

After a short time two Coyotes leaped out from some bushes and began chasing after me, then birds started coming after me...that's all I can remember, it was intense. X_x

That isn't a recurring nightmare, it came up once, and that's what I remember of it. >.>'
 
Most of the good nightmares ive had i cant really explain.

There was one though when i was younger where the vampire guy from sesimi street was counting down and i was running through a huge room filled with punching bags hanging from the ceiling. My dad ends up picking me up on the side of the street in are mini van and the vampire jumps through the steering wheel and drives his fingers into my dads hands laughing.

i forget wat happens after that.
 
Ive had the worst nightmare of all: A world where final fantasy had never been invented D: *gasp*!

But seriously all mine are about people breaking into my house. I always fight them off or get away alive...but the thought of people breaking in is very creepy to me...
 
@ SkyRav: Even if it is from Sesame Street, if it's a Vampire, it's appropriate for Halloween. :smartass:

Glad this thread is getting to a good Halloweeny (Halloweeny...XD) start. :giggle:

I haven't had this one for quite awhile, But in this dream i was being chased through a forest by something i couldn't see at all. I heard its footsteps clearly, i begin to run but that does me no good because it catches me in the end and tears me up to pieces.


Other dreams involve me trying to save someone but in the end i always fail and i can't help but to think that i still could've done more to prevent it.
 
Ive had loads of nightmares in my time lol. And I had 2 last night. First one was me living in the town of 30 Days of Night and I was terrified!! I was trying to neogiate the vamps to leave us alone and I cant recall what happened.

After that there was a zombie outbreak and I remember being in a line ready to be munched with my family :| Freaked me out!
 
Nearly all my nightmares are zombie/vampire realted and me hiding/being chased. They are dire, I hate them, I always wake up with my heart pounding xD They never ever reach any kind of conclusion though, so fuck knows if Im ever meant to survive in these dreams, I always wake up shitting myself

A couple of random ones I recal is the bloody Judges in FFXII, round about the time I was stuck the first time in the Leviathan... I was in a shopping centre and everyone was evacuated, typically I was still in there and ended up hiding in the bogs with a few other people. I actually got found in this one and killed, it was like, on a loop though, I kept dying over and over and I remember being sat iin this cubicle and hearing the toilet doors being kicked open and peiople getting killed so it was like just a matter of time before I was found :gonk: One of the weirdest dreams Ive ever had and other than the fact that i was stuck in the Leviathan, thats one of the reasons I didnt play it for 3 months

Another one that I have had twice int he space of like a week neverhad before or since either. I was (presumably) in America and there were tornados all over the shop, big ones loads of little ones. That was shit scary as well -__-
 
The only true nightmares I get are when I'm bed ridden sick. The only thing is they are all too real. For instance I had one a year ago in which was very vivid. My dad and I were out on his boat in Smithville, TN - we had a bad storm come through, in which made us throw our anchor overboard. We were isolated with no one to help,and then all of the sudden he was trying to fix the tarp in order to not let to much water in and he was jolted overboard and hit his head on the propeller blades from the engine.
 
I had one last night.

When I was younger my nightmares consisted of Dinosaurs a lot. I think it was because I had just seen Jurassic Park.

Anyway, just last night I dreamt that me and Steve were somewhere I'd never seen before and that dinosaurs were eating people and so we had to evacuate.

Steve said it was stupid and that we would be fine, however just as we were lining up to get out of the small town we were in, we saw a child get snatched from her mothers arms and into the bushes and everyone started panicing and then the mother also got snatched into the bushes.

I was freaking out at Steve and then I woke up. 0_0 It was scary. >_<
 
I have this strange, recurring one. I've always been TERRIFIED of mile long bridges and deep water, so OF COURSE I have this stupid dream over and over again and I wake up scared to death.

It's kind of like a video game, I'm walking behind a bunch of Sims 2-like houses, and then I get to this fence and over it is a huge bridge, it kind of reminds me of a New York City version of Remiem Temple's bridge. I don't know, try to picture it :argh:

Then I have to walk across the side, there's cars fricking almost knocking me off into the water, and the bridge kinda sinks in the middle, like a U. Basically, it's just water but it's scary as hell because I can't control it, and for some reason I HAVE to cross this bridge.

Last night though, it was a strange version of the dream. I was in like, a warehouse that reminded me of the one in Dirge of Cerberus and it has this Devil May Cry feel to it (okay, too many video game references :brooding:). And I have to walk on this rope on the ceiling to sneak in cause I apparently need something inside. But, like a video game :-)brooding:), I can't move any further so I need to go back and go in through the other cargo type entrance. When I finally get in I need to talk to this lady, and I'm sitting on the couch and there's freakin creepy beetle bugs all over the couch. The lady starts smoking a cigar and I get whatever info I need from her

- and then I wake up.

I just remembered that I have the same recurring dream, which is kinda like a nightmare really.

Nearly every night I will dream about being back at my parents house and then all of a sudden realising that I actually moved out of home a couple of years ago and that I'm going out with Steve.

I think, 'Why the hell am I back here when I have a house of my own to be at?'

I try to leave and my parents won't let me, like they never used to let me go anywhere when I actually used to live there.

Then I try to call Steve and ask what's going on and he either cuts out, his phone is off or he hangs up on me.

It's the same dream ALL the time and sometimes it's slightly different, like I said before about when I ring Steve and he either cuts our or hands up on me, but it still goes along the same lines.

I think that this is my worst nightmare.

That one day me and Steve will be seperated and that I'll have to live back with my parents again. :gonk:

I think I know why I always dream about him hanging up on me or whatever too. I used to have a boyfriend who hung up on me all the time when I tried to call or pretended that the connection was breaking up nearing the end of our relationship.

I always think that that's what Steve will do to me when he doesn't like me anymore. >_<

I used to have this one reoccurring dream when I was much younger. I was reminded of this dream in a dream that I had last night. It's odd trying to categorize this dream as a nightmare because while very terrifying happens in the dream, for some reason it scared the shit out of me. And now when I think about it, it makes me want to cry.

In this dream, I am at my aunt's house. There is a door in the basement that exists in this dream, but doesn't exist in real life. In this door is a dark passage. At this point, I am a little afraid, but that is only because the passage is dark and I do not know what is in the passage. I cannot remember how long this passage is or how long I've been in there. The passage sort of reminds me of an underground temple or crypt. Eventually, I make it to a room. In this room, there are candles that are lit. On one wall there hangs a large portrait (or sculpture). The portrait is of an old man. Or is it? I'm not completely sure because this is where the dream ends. As soon as I see this portrait, I wake up feeling terrified.

I've had other dreams that were related to this place, but in some of the dreams I feel too terrified to go in there. I don't know what exactly is in there, but I know that it is frightening. And when ever I think about this dream, it makes me want to cry. Even as I type this post, I feel like crying.
 
When I was younger I always used to have dreams about foxes or wolves chasing me then killing me. .__. It was really strange...

Now I just have dreams about zombies and vampires, lol. There was one where I think I was in Resident Evil and I was hiding in a house with boarded windows and there was just a candle lit. The streets were empty and dark outside, but you could hear those distant "moan" noises that those zombies make. Anyways the house had like four or five people that I didn't know and I was seperated from my family, so I was just huddled in a room with this little girl who had a stuffed bunny toy in her hand and all of a sudden everything got silent. When I looked out the window to see what was there, I saw a zombie's eye looking at me and it broke through the window. The next thing I knew the little girl was missing and I was on the street, looking around for her then I spotted another zombie close by and that's when I woke up in cold sweat.
 
I've experienced this nightmare at least twice before. One recently and the other a few years ago. I can't describe it exactly, but it's basically a huge body of water, maybe an ocean, with a single "bridge" stretching across the body of water. What's strange about this bridge is that it's just a long, narrow stretch of concrete going across it.

I can remember running along this narrow concrete bridge whicg twists and turns over the water. I can remember this feeling of having to get to the other side. Then I fall off the edge, but manage to cling on to the side for my life. It feels horrible because the bridge is terrifyingly thin and there is no way to hoist myself back up. Though I don't fall, the water seems to rise until my legs are submerged.

I think this is attributed to my phobia of deep water.
 
I will never forget this nightmare...

When I was little, I was nervous around spiders but it wasn't until I had this dream. I was lying down in bed, and holding my old stuffed animal. I opened my eyes, and they were spiders everywhere. They were slowly coming toward me, they were closing in, I could barely see the wall's paint anymore! I looked around me and screamed. It wasn't until the dream was completely black to wake up. It was short, but a horrifying dream. I still can't really even look at those eight-legged freaks!
 
Honestly, wtf.

I'm stranded with a group of people who don't even resemble anyone I have ever met, and we're on an archipelago in the sky, connected by bridges like in Indiana Jones. The islands are infested with dinosaurs and a T-Rex blocks both exit/entrances. For some reason, I can hear what the dinosaurs are thinking, and there's a very sick Triceretops that keeps moaning "just.. kill me." And the T-Rexes don't stop patrolling the entrance/exits until I kill him. I never get out, I just wake up as a T-Rex begins to chase me, about 3 seconds after. I don't like dinosaurs, and I don't frequently watch Jurassic Park movies. But I have this nightmare about twice a week. :confused:
 
I have this dream every other week. There is this witch that keeps trying to kill me and my brothers. I have ten brothers and supposedly her power enables her to kill us all in some sort of chain. I die, they all die. Anyway, we either get away or Kill her. She HAS NEVER been able to kill me yet, so I must be immortal :wacky: I also have this other dream where this woman who is an evil clone of my mom with black nails fights her DBZ style. My mom loses, hence it being a nightmare.
