If gee eff exe people can get points so should people in spam. Perhaps not the two points you get for a well structured post about how FFVII is the best game ever and anyone who disagrees is clearly a moron and should be shot. But some points at least. How about 1 point or a half or a quarter?
Points are designed to reward people who are active and therefore to encourage activity. Posting in Spam is activity is it not?
Or isn't Spam highbrow enough, we don't use long enough words or enough words at all. Perhaps you should count the average words in a post in a proper section that has post count like FF section, or the equally marvellous FFClub section. Then find the average length of a post in spam. Say, that the average length of a post in FFSection is 40 words. Also say that the average length of a post in spam is 10 words. That's a ratio of 4:1. That would mean 1 FFSection post would equal 4 posts in spam, so spam posts should get half a point per post.
Make it happen please MODERATORS.
 
good idea... but I think a better idea is to give 2 points to lurkers. The more you lurk the richer you get!

I'm not particularly for or against this idea. It'd be nice to get it, but no real loss if we don't.
 
What points? How do you get points on the site? Is that something new?
 
Yes its the vbshop thing. In post count areas, you get points for posting.
