owww >_<

Hah. Doesn't it feel great though? You should try the Perfect Push-ups. It works wonders! I did 10 at first, then 7 on my next set, and another 7. The next day my whole body was aching, even my abs.

I tried that as well, and I love the Perfect Push-Ups. I bought it because I wanted a more challenging way to make push-ups, and one of my friends advised me to get it. The first time I tried I did a set of 35, 30, 25 and 20 for the first exercise, simply because I am already used to do push-ups.

My goal is to do a full set of 60, 50, 40 and 30. Then, who knows.

~STUPID QUESTION ALERT!!!~

Do you have to be able to do a regular push-up to use it?

not only is the question stupid, my English looks a little off :monster: no, wait I'm right...wait...I can't tell...

Hmm, another effective workout is to place your back against the wall, spread your legs wide, but not too wide...then lower yourself about a foot. So basically, you'd be supporting your whole body with your legs. Good thigh work-out. It's a pain and I only lasted a little over five minutes.
I have a friend who joined the army and they make you do that for 15 minutes.

But the best way to get rock hard abs, without doing weights, is to swim for about half an hour a day, that means properly though.

A good half hour-an hours jogging is also a good thing. Plus its more interesting because your not stuck in the same place for a period of time and you can do it with friends without feeling to gay-like.:neomon:

Well...yes. xD It's more challenging, but very effective.

No, but if you are not use to them, just try to do the max amount of push ups you can normally do. Then try to adjust your sets around that number. If your max is, let's say, 30, your following sets should be 25, 20, 15 or 25, 10 and 8, then you increase the number of repetitions as your strength is more developed.

oh...well...i can only do 2 XD i'm a weakling...but I'm thinking about getting it. probably should wait, tho, cuz my legs are still burning from the squats yesterday >_<

If it hurts, it is working. The fact of doing exercise is to do very microscopic damages due to working said areas in the muscles, which allows the muscles to be repaired and stimulates muscular growth. Of course, the muscles require a minimum resting period of 14 hours, to allowed the body to repair and strengthen the muscles.

And I tell you, it works. I am working my abdomen at the moment, and I am starting to see some great results.

you know a lot about muscles. you a fitness coach or did you just google "muscle growth"? :wacky:

and the abs is where I want results. what ab exercises are you doing?

if you want abs then go to a gym.
they have a kinda chair specifically designed for sit ups. But because they suck, hold a weight behind your head, however heavy you can manage, i suggest you start at about 10 kgs

I used to be a novice weightlifter, but I was forced to quit training due to an injury. I think I'll start my weightlifting training once I finish this school semester.:)

Also my uncle knows a lot about muscle and fitness.

someone suggested swimming earlier. I can do that for about 30 min a day! i used to swim all the time when I lived in VA. i was pretty fit then :monster: I wasnt pro tho, but I must have been doing something right.

Just in case you didn't knew, if you do the "Perfect Push-Ups" correctly, the exercise helps you develop forearms, triceps, biceps (a little), shoulders, chest, back and abdomen.

Of course, there are many ways to increase difficulty, like placing your legs on a chair and your hands on the floor. Your body should be in a diagonal position.
