Multiple Platforms Official Call of Duty: Black Ops Thread

Has the NAT issue even been fixed yet? I'm pretty sure that pisses people off more than anything else. That said, when they come out with all these features that are being updated half of it makes no sense anyway since with CoD it's normally stuff you can't see anyway like "matchmaking improvements to return higher quality results faster" they probably wouldn't have to do anything but people would believe they did. :wacky:
 
Funny thing is I can always make parties with peepz from other countries, but with my own friends its hectic.........also when I played split screen we always got kicked after each session with Char and Jiah aka warblez.

after the new update I havent played with my friends yet.

I bought the map pack and can honestly say ASCENSION zombie map is the dopest map of all..its freeking epic.

Berlin wall you got 3 choke points , if you dont cross these safe points you'll get shot by auto turrets or just stay on one side of the wall...

Stadium....small map..it can never beat highrise though..
expect campers

Kowloon is an awesome map even if you never use those ziplines..however its pretty much a map made for campers..

discovery is too big ..2 many snipers...I hate people that snipe..you will see the aurora lights in the sky!!!


15 euro's pretty hefty but the ascension map is brilliant imo. those monkey's can throw back your grenades......:ahmed:
 
I use :

Galil assault rifle - surpressor
strella-3 to shoot down any aircraft

Claymore Semtex and flash or stun grenade
Ghost/Steady Aim/hacker or something else as third perk

Napalm/Mortars/Rolling Thunder or Gunship/Chopper Gunner/Stealth something & sometimes dogs...

Prestige 6 lvl 40

But I play zombies more!
 
I'm more of a stealth player so I use:

Ghost Pro = best perk for people like me. I'm practically undetectable now that I also have Hacker Pro. :tehe:

Warlord Pro = for silencers and red dot sights.

Hacker Pro = sabotage and remain undetected to motion sensors.

Perks:

Napalm/Mortars/Rolling Thunder like Ohri said. If you get all 3 in one life, you can pretty much bombard the whole map and get close to ten kills in one go if you're playing Ground War.

Well this sneaky silencedness seems a fairly common way of playing so i shal give it a try, Im 1st pestige level 50 (new account on PSN and i have few friends if Y'all wanna add me XD) but i shall certainly create a Silenced class.

Black Ops Escalation Pack outed by GAME Australia

The second map pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops has been outed by GAME Australia.

Known as the Escalation Pack, it’ll feature five maps – one of which is a zoo – and will release on May 3, according to a flyer posted on the retailer’s site, which has since been pulled.
It’ll arrive first on Xbox Live as part of a three year exclusivity deal between Activision and Microsoft that was announced at E3 last year. It’ll arrive on PS3 and PC afterwards.
We’ve posted the said flyer from the GAME website below. Activision wasn’t reachable at the time of publication, but we’ve left a voicemail.
The first map pack for Black Ops, First Strike, launched back in February for Xbox 360. It followed a month later on PS3 and PC.

Seriously? A second map pack? o_O Wow that was fast. I still have yet to buy the first yet. Eh. At least we can say that they're actually giving us a nice amount of DLC unlike some games that promised a lot of DLC that never went through with that. >.>
 
Yay Vircon cant wait till you buy the first map pack...the rest of the crew wont buy the map pack..,but seriously the maps KOWLOON and BERLIN WALL are freeking epic.. and even DISCOVERY where you can sniper the hell out of people..its fun as hell lol

Well I cleaned my disc and so far I didnt get DC'ed. So invite me when ya want to pop some fools. Also second map pack will come May 3th for xbox first and name is up. Look on google for those that concern.
 
Are the new map packs even very good? :hmmm: I may just buy them if I actually invest in the core game now. :wacky:

New Call of Duty Black Ops zombie level gets grindhouse movie poster

Upcoming Black Ops zombie level Call of the Dead is the subject of a new, cool grindhouse style movie poster. Yep: it’s the weekend.

Publisher Activision sent out the poster to various media sites, including Game Informer, to help promote the upcoming release of the level, part of the Call of Duty Black Ops Escalation map pack. Check it out below.
As previously reported, the Call of the Dead zombie level features an all star cast, with players able to control characters with the voices and likenesses of Danny Trejo, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Michael Rooker and Robert Englund. Night of the Living Dead movie director George Romero also appears as a boss zombie.
The Call of Duty Black Ops Escalation map pack is due for release on Xbox Live on May 3 for 1200 MSP. It will be released for the PC and PS3 later in 2011.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Map Pack 3 Titled Annihilation? Inbound 6.28.11?

Yesterday leaked picture of the upcoming Map Pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops found its way on the interest. Today an image suggest the title of the Map Pack, as well as its release date.

The picture suggest a release date of 6-28-11 which is less than 2 weeks away but the Map Pack has no official announcement as of yet.

HANGAR 18
SILO
DRIVE-IN
HAZARD

The Zombie map still remains unnamed but is labeled “Obliterate the Zombies”. You can see more pictures below.

Activision did announce the 2nd Map Pack for Black Ops entitled “Escalation” 3 weeks before its release, so it’s possible this release date is accurate. If it is however, expect an official announcement here very soon. We will keep you posted.

Trailer and screens released for Black Ops pack Annihilation

Activision has released a behind-the-scenes video for Annihilation, the DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops coming to XBL on June 28. In it, the developers at Treyarch provide a look at Hangar 18, Drive-In, Silo, Hazard and Zombies. After the exclusivity period on Xbox 360 ends, the pack will be made available for PC and PS3.

Ok Last BO DLC Map Pack is ALL ZOMBIES..I am glad they finally listened to their customers, however 4 of them are freeking WAW's zombie maps..I wish they really made 5 freeking new ones.... I already got the 4 old ones because I bought the hardened edition.

Because the fuckers arent completely douches for milking this shit they give the rest for free (so that 1 new level and other nonsense).

,Buckle up zombies fans you’re in for a treat! We have recently heard that Treyarch and Activision are bringing more zombies to Call of Duty: Black Ops, apparently this DLC will hit Xbox Live on August 23 and will consist of five zombies maps, 4 you will recognize, 1 you will not.

Apparently the DLC will introduce a new zombies map called Moon, which is obviously set in space. The other four maps are maps which came exclusive to those of you who purchased Hardened and Prestige edition of Black Ops, these are Nacht der Untoten, Verruckt, Shi No Numa and Der Riese (these are remastered maps from Call of Duty: World at War). Apparently you will also get an “enhanced Zombies Soundtrack”, which also features a new zombies track for Moon.

The Rezurrection pack will cost 1200 Microsoft Points, which equates to $15. Some people who forked out a lot of money on special editions on Black Ops may feel hard-done-by, to be honest we have to agree as we were previously told that the remastered World at War maps would only be available to those of you who spent $79.99 on the Hardened Edition or $129.99 on the Prestige Edition. Now gamers can get these maps plus a new one for just $15, do you think this is fair?

By the looks of things people who purchased the Hardened or Prestige editions of Black Ops will get the Moon zombies map free of charge, this has not been confirmed, but it looks extremely likely and sounds very fair to us. You can find out even more about the Rezurrection DLC over at JoyStiq.

You may remember in late June we reported news which suggested that a new map pack was coming to Black Ops called Retaliation, we later suggest that this was fake and now that the Rezurrection DLC has been pretty much confirmed it looks as if we were right. If you are sceptical about this news let us just say that Larry Hryb tweeted the news, he is a pretty legitimate source as he works for both Microsoft and Xbox Live, you can see his tweet here.

As you have probably guessed this is an Xbox 360 exclusive and won’t hit the PlayStation 3 or PC until a month or so later, when we hear more regarding this we will keep you posted.
