My room, my sanctuary

I only have that problem with my mom. She is always going in my room and moving things around while she cleans. I can never find my game cables or my remote because of that. My sis may go in there without my permission, but she has the decency to leave things as the are :thehell:

Ha. Ha ha ha ha ha. What's this "floor" thing people keep talking about? :hmmm:

If you're lucky, when you go in my room, you'll step on something soft like closet-overflow clothing as you walk around, rather than stacks of boxes, plastic bags with pokey things sticking out of them, or piles of recycled paper from work. The approximate area of the space that does not contain knee-high piles of crap or higher, is about 7 or 8 square feet. There is no floor. There is no tile. Tile is an illusion, clear tile doubly so....

I thought originally that I did have a reason for this, seeing as how my husband and I are currently having to live in a very small place due to poorness, and our two inventories ended up being confined into the space of one. However, whilst I was growing up, I had the exact same problem in my old bedroom, and it was almost the same size as this one. I have since reduced my personal inventory by about half, and yet for some reason have still ended up with a completely full room owing to my current situation, which is extremely irritating. However, having seen the same thing happen in the kitchen with plastic tupperware containers in the cabinet, I have finally come to the conclusion that as cliche as it may sound, my room is in fact a black hole. Here is my scientific proof:

1) Black holes are essentially places from whence nothing, not even light, can escape. No matter how hard I try, I cannot seem to get rid of the clutter in my room, it always finds its way back in, sometimes even bringing more with it. There is some sort of strong gravitational pull going on.

2) According to the Cosmic Censorship hypothesis, the laws of physics may break down beyond the event horizon of a black hole. The consistency of the amount of crap in my room despite my frequently throwing stuff away absolutely defies the laws of physics.

3) Sometimes black holes can draw matter from nearby bodies into themselves, such as when they are in a binary system with another star. If you consider that my room is part of a cluster of rooms in my house, this is very true--stuff from other parts of the house always finds its way into my room, and can never seem to find its way out again.

4) When stuff gets caught by a black hole's gravity, it often ends up circling the black hole at its event horizon (forming an "accretion disk"). Quite often, I have piles of crap circling outside my bedroom door wanting to get in--all my own belongings, but which just haven't been able to work their way in yet.

5) Singularities, or points of infinite density, are thought to exist at the center of black holes. I can often be found at the center of my room, and for being unable to figure out how to fix this mess problem my whole life, I can only be described as infinitely dense. :wacky:

We sort of miss the days when you could see the floor in our room. However, we cleaned it recently. (By clean, we mean we moved things from one part of the room to make one part cleaner, and the other dirtier. :mokken:)

So the floor is somewhat visible now.

As far as my room and cleanliness, hmm so so lol a lot of clothes all over the place, but I don't have them lying there deliberately, I just don't have enough storage space for them, not enough room in my wardrobe which isn't that big anyway, sucks! Also I guess I have too many clothes, some of which I hardly wear :P lol Other than that, I'd say my room is pretty neat :] I have posters on my walls, mainly of my fav animals (Tigers, seals) and also band posters etc.

My room is sort of messy but it is still possible to move around in there without tripping over something. Right now the only thing that makes my room messy is the fact that I have some clothes on the floor but that's about it. Compared to how I was a few years ago, I have to say I've gotten much better with keeping my room clean. I guess it comes with maturity.

My room is pretty immaculate at the moment :lew:

I just vaccuumed, dusted, and I have some Halloween decorations up too :jess:

I can't stand it when things are out of order in there...everything has to be organized and clean or it drives me nuts when I can't find things :rage:

I don't spend too too much time in my room though tbh...so I don't know why I'm so crazy about keeping it clean. Sometimes I let things get a little messy though. It depends on my mood. Mostly, its a palace though :griin:

:hmmm: My old room at mums was always messy, I built up the biggest clothing pile the world has ever seen and because my room was tiny it took up most of the space. I also never dusted it coz I was lazy so it was always dusty and horrible.

My room at my new house is very tidy because I only go in there to sleep. I do have a small clothing pile that is starting to build up but you can't see it unless go round the side of the dresser. I never make the bed though :wacky: No point I think. I'm just going to sleep in it again the next day so why waste the time?

The only time I'll make the bed is if someone is coming over and there might be the slight chance that they'll go into my room.

I cleaned my room a few weeks ago and it's already in a state. Mostly because whenever I change I just create a pile of clothes in a corner that builds and builds. I don't really have alot of stuff though I'm not much of a hoarder and I like as much free space as possible. I'm also one of those people who can't just leave plates and glasses around, sometimes I go to friends' houses and it's just yogurts pots and crusty food on plates all over the room like where do I sit?

My room is decently clean, except for dust and the carpet, nothing is dirty. Things are a bit messier than usual right now, but it'll get cleaned before crimmus. Anyway my room is my escape from hell. As soon as I leave in the morning, I get sad. Nobody touches anything in my room. If you do there will be serious consequences, and by that I mean I'm gonna kick your teeth out your face. So basically if you follow my rules, things will go swimmingly.

My room is my world. Don't come and botch it up.

:)
