i wanna postpone learning all of the plot twist until they twist against me, i wanna play the game and not know whats gunna happen next with the rest of the MGS games i have played, as this makes the game better and more interesting so STOP WITH THE DAMN SPOILERS

Major Zero is the leader of the Patriots and he brings in Big Boss, EVA, Signit, Para Medic and Ocelot in...
I want to know why he went corrupt.
 
i love mgs 3 snake eater its ace, i played sons of liberty first and i didnt know what could top tht, then i bought 3 and i loved it, it relli goes into depth about the mission and also there is a big love story line all the way through, love when EVA says to snake " Are You Gonna Tempt Me" its ace its gives a good understanding in the game why he is called snake
 
To avoid spoilers for MGS4 can't we just have a separate thread just for MGS4 for discussion and spoilers? This is more for the entire series in general and if there's a thread just for MGS4 then it'll be less likely we'll have big spoilers here.
 
But some will be tempted hover over them or do it without thinking. If you go into a topic specifically labelled that it will be full of spoilers you'll only have yourself to blame if you see something you didn't really want to.
 
Might I suggest simply using spoiler tags and asking a moderator to graciously add a caution to the thread title? There's no need to make a big fuss about it.

Is there anyone out ther as dissatisfied with the MGS4 game cover as I? I thought it would have had some better artwork on it than it does.
 
Which cover are you talking about? I think the European one is pretty awesome.

Boo fucking hoo, stop your bawwing. You both panicked so much you didn't even notice the sheer LACK of spoilers. The only thing I said was that
EVA was the mom of the Snakes
, which had already been discussed a few pages back and theorized on, thus coming as no surprise. The link I posted is now dead, and Gabranth used spoiler tags in his post.

Well from what I gathered,
he didn't necessarily become corrupt, he and Para-Medic and the others were inspired by The Boss's actions and created The Patriots to carry on her ideals. Eventually they did become corrupt though, which is when Big Boss decided to leave and when Ocelot hatched his uber elaborate plan to take the Patriots down using Solid Snake.

You mean that shitty one with the CG-rendered mug shot of Old Snake? Yeah, it's pretty damn ugly, and kind of strange for them to stray from having Shinkawa's artwork on the cover. The limited edition has his artwork though, and it's much more awesome:

I was actually referring to the Euopean one, this one doesn't look half bad.

Except the colour scheme.

I knew there would be more spoilers posted if I didn't say anything and so I calmly asked that they stopped being posted. Majin Vegeta was the one who got emo about it.

To be honest I don't care whether you post spoilers or not, my previous posts in this thread will back that. After I asked that they stopped being posted I realised that I'd find out one way or another, it's inevitable that I will.

Now it's your turn to stop over-reacting, shit-faec. :neomon:
 
Aye, I knew that Zero and the rest of them formed the Patriots in honor of soliders like The Boss. I suppose that he realized that he could use this group to conquer the World and take human freedom and rights away. Para-Madic though...she seems to nice in MGS3, but how could she turn into someone that experiments on people like Big Boss and Gray Fox?
 
So I'm replaying MGS3 now, and I just finished fighting The Pain. I always wondered how exactly he managed to get bees to morph into bombs and a tommy gun...or does he just pull stuff out of his sleeves and use the bees to conceal it like a cheap magic trick?

Also, someone posted this on /v/ and I thought you guys would get a laugh out of it:

The Pain was such an easy boss.

The only thing you had to worry about were the red hornets that got stuck in you.

Am I right in thinking that when you're under the water he can manifest another version of himself made entirely of bees to confuse you? I swear he's done this to me before, unless I'm seeing things. :gasp:
 
I don't know if being underwater is the catalyst or not, but he does create two clones of himself out of bees. I usually just chuck a grenade over there to deal with them all at once.

He really was a pathetically easy boss though...maybe he was supposed to be like Fatman? Only Fatman was so much more entertaining. I'd just wait for him to pass by me, then CQC him to the ground and shoot him. Or just crawl under a crate and shoot his legs :wacky:

"LOOK YOUR FAVORITE! BOMBS!"

Now that I think of it...MGS2 didn't have particularly challenging bosses either. Vamp was just as easy as Fatman, set down a claymore, flip over the side and blow it up when he walks near. Those damn Ray units are a bit of a pain though.
 
Aye, especially on extreme mode. You have to fight 18 all in a row.....

The postman came when i was half asleep, the doorbell rang i thought, "i can't be!" so i got dressed far too fast for my own liking and collected the parcel from play XD, low and behold here i am thinking WTF a whole day early, SWEET!

Now i'm off to play all friggin day!

Lucky Bastard. I like the fact that the original soundtrack is added in the Limited Edition. The figure of Old Snake is cool too. This Limited Edition is much better than others.
 
I don't know why you guys are obsessed about MGS, like I played MGS3 but the camera was stupid, aiming wasn't good enough, but I still don't like the camera in it maybe I'll give it a try if you can change the camera view
