When I tell people what I remember, I get weird looks. Looks saying, "Are you on drugs?" Sometimes I even get asked that (but just to clear the air here, I am most certainly not on drugs).

Anyway, my mind is like a jar filled with so much memories. Childhood memories. I remember the first time I realized I didn't have to wear shoes in the house. I told my dad this a few days ago and he told me he thought that that was 'complete nonsense' because I must've been around 2 then. I remember the first time I walked inside the very first school I was about to attend. Actually, I remember being in Daycare telling my teacher I'll be in Kindergarden soon. I also remember not knowing how to spell my name. And the list goes on. I cherish these memories, I truly do. If I had a list of 10 -maybe even 5- things that are important to me, my memories would be near the top.

How far can you remember? Do you remember how you felt? How old you were? How much do these memories mean to you? I'd love to read everyone's replies.

I remember a couple of memories from when I was three. My memories are very specific too.

1. I was climbing our sofa, and fell head-first into my dad's collection of tapes. I wasn't hurt too badly, but it was a shock.

2. My first haircut. I had a big tuft of brown curls and I was proud of them. -__- But my dad took me to the barbers and shaved me almost bald. Never again...

I also remember a pretty specific memory from when I was six. I had been trying to whistle for a long time, and I learned in the bathrom, while getting ready to go to Tesco's.

i remember afew random bits, liek the green bath where we used to live, and being in the washing basket, looking at some food and thinking I didnt liek the look of it, however a young child would have thought eww at the time

I remember being in nursey, like I thin it was an old church, there was a bed (or what i beleive was a bed, it was probably just a mat)

I remember my first day at school and drawing a man

I also remember the first dauy they made the class go to church and I got told after wards, and to this day I still have no idea what I did wrong ¬¬

I think you just remember random snippets, and the older you get the more you rememeber

Those would be the clearest from my very early childhood though

OH I remember my teacher giving me a smack -__- I cant remember how old I was but it was my first primary school, so I cant have been anything more than 6 or 7, I walked o ut and went home....unless that was a different time, wait I think iI walked out and went hom twice in that class, oh I DID, i didn t liek that teacher, the other time, id been told off for god knows what and I got sent out side the class, so I just went home :wacky:

My memories are pretty specific also. I remember where I was and I definitely remember colours. Sometimes, I'd even remember someone sitting in a chair or doing something.

I remember still being in nappies, and falling down the stairs. It was probably about the time I learned to walk, because I then stumbled into the kitchen and started crying.

I also remember being in playschool, and the first thing I would do would be go to the back of the room, where me and this other boy (whose name or face I can't remember at all) and we'd play with the train set for a while. I kind of wish I knew who that other boy was, because I want to know if he remembers doing that too...

I've always remembered getting my ears pierced at age four.

I remember sitting in at the hairdressers looking into the mirror and watching them use the staple gun to do one ear at a time.

I also remember coming out of primary school one day in grade one I think and my dad putting me on his shoulders and running with me through the pouring rain. XD

He was trying to get me out of the rain quickly and into the car. >.<

I remember in first grade when I tried to jump over a short wall furing recess. I hit the top of it with me ankle, then face-planted into the ground. Didn't hurt that bad, but everyone laughed at me.

Also remember skipping school one day because I knew I would get in trouble for not doing my work.

I also remember missing the bus one morning because I woke up late and had to walk to school, wearing my haloween costume.

I remember when I was younger getting me a new baby blanket and going to the store picking it out I remember that it had a ducky on it xD
I also remember saying my first 'cuss' word like at 5 and my dad was maaad XD
I also member getting a burger and heating it up in the microwave almost burning down my house cos it was wraped in foil :wacky:
I have fairly good memory and yes they are very important to me =D

As far back as I can remember you say? I remember being chased by my two girl neighbors and tracked down and kissed. I remember my ninja turtle birthday when I was 3. I remember quite a bit of my preschool years. Everything passed that I pretty much recall. I have a good LONG term memory.

I remember the ocean while riding on the back of my dad's bike out in South Carolina. I remember the first dog we ever purchased when I was 2 1/2. .. eh I could keep going.

Childhood memories are special to me, naturally. I'll do something random and suddenly a memory or two tugs at my mind from a long time ago and it creates such a feeling that I can't even begin to imagine. A mixture of longing is definitely one that fits the equation. It actually kinda aches a little. I remember sitting on my grandpa's lap on his one leg, and then looking over to the side and seeing my cousin sitting on his other leg and me feeling a little jealousy wash over. I was probably 2 years old, but I'm not positive on this one. I also remember getting off a bus with my grandma and brother, and her chastising me about something that I did to my brother, and reminding me to be nicer to him. My brother is a year older than me and at the time he was already able to walk, so I must have been 2 or 3. And I remember having a boiling coffee spill all over my chest and being sent to the emergency room. I still even remember back when I was probably less than a year old. I came across a particular picture of me when I was still in nappies, lying on the bed, and for some reason, I still remember that day.

There's not a whole lot I remember, but enough for someone at this age. I still wonder to this day what kind of memories are bottled up inside me that I haven't conjured up in my mind yet though...

I've actually had all of these confirmed by my older sister and my Mother.

Memory #1: When I was about 2 years old and living in Louisiana, we lived in this house that had a problem. Not roaches, not spiders, but the yard would always have these big, huge, snakes. Here is how we found out. Apparently my Mother had me outside playing in the front yard while she watched me. I crawled right up to this snake den thingy and was bitten in the arm by a large snake. My Dad wasn't there, or else he would have been able to tell everyone what it was.

My Dad is a frigging genius, he knows everything, I'm serious. However, the snake wasn't poisonous, but I still have the scar on my arm from where I was bitten.

Memory #2: My 2nd birthday party my Mother spread chocolate cake on my face while everyone laughed at me. -__-

I hate that bloody memory.

Memory #3: My Dad helping me beat the Legend of Zelda on the NES for the first time I was 4, and I was getting into video games in a huge way. :D
