Sorry if there is a thread already like this but I couldn't find any such thread if there is one. >.<

Anyway I was just wondering, how healthy are the people here at FFF?

Are you a fast food junkie who never makes their dinner and sits on the couch every night with a million packets of chips, lollies, chocolate etc?

Or are you someone who is a bit of both. Likes to eat healthy and have a bit of fun with the naughty stuff every now and then?

Or are you one of those people who never/rarely touches anything junkie. Never has takeaway etc?

I know a girl at work who literally goes and buys a cucumber from the shops and will eat that for lunch. Does this with a lot of other veges too, but the cucumber one was the funniest I ever saw her just eat as is. XD

She has such good self control. I never see her with anything BAD. I mean, eating a cucumber on it's own is a little strange, but it's obviously working for her.

Me, I usually eat very healthy all week.

If I have any soft drink, it's the diet stuff with only a few KJ's per serving. I am allowed an ice cream after dinner and that's it.

On the weekend I may have takeaway and some other junkie stuff if I wish, but that doesn't mean I will definitely splurge.

The main reasons I've begun to cut down on so many junkie foods is because:

#1
Even though I don't gain weight, it really can't be all that good for my insides.

#2 One day I will gain weight from it and I'd rather prepare myself now to eat right so that I don't gain weight later down the track. I don't want to be eating junkie food constantly and then find out one day that my pudge won't disappear in the mornings anymore. So if I play it safe now it shouldn't be all that bad.

So what about the rest of you? Discuss!

I'm unhealthy. I'm either pigging out on pizza and other such junk food, or I'm starving myself to lose weight. I really ought to find a happy medium, but instead I swing from one extreme to the other.

I'm extremely unhealthy, although I've been worse, and as long as I don't go back to being worse, I don't really care. I'm a very fussy eater, and I have little in the way of variety in my diet. Its not that I eat nothing but junk food, its that I eat very little.

I don't eat many fatty foods, but I won't touch anything that is green, either. I have a weak stomach, and much of what is classified as healthy makes me feel queasy. I suppose I toe the line between healthy and unhealthy, but not enough either way.

But I eat three meals a day, and I've been slowly eating more over the years since the scare I had when I was in College. Who knows, maybe in 4 more years I'll be on a "normal" diet and my weight will be "appropriate" for my height. I'm not rushing it, because I see no need to.

I think I'm unhealthy.

I prefer veggies and fruits but get dealt meat and all that kind of bad foods. I hardly eat though... maybe some snacks like cookies, but mainly I eat eggs for breakfast and then whatever I have for dinner. I'm just not hungry, is all.

I'm oddly not big, though. I only weigh 117 pounds and is as twiggy as they come. I'm a lazy bean so I don't move much... which makes my weight so odd. :hmmm: I should be round... but I'm not. I don't work out or nothin' but I want to, just so I can build up good stamina and healthy bone and muscle mass--something which I badly lack. Actually, I fear I'm too unhealthy for a 19 year old girl who isn't large.

I really want to put on muscle(not weight lifting kind) just the healthy kind of muscle to wear my heart and blood circulation is in good shape. :rage: It's confusing on how to, though. I don't know if I should just start eating protein and jogging, I'm afraid that's too much at once.

Whelp anyway, you asked.

Japanese food is vegetables vegetables vegetables,so no i don't eat junk foods, and i love noodles and fish !So i am healthy !!

I'm usually extremely healthy throughout the whole week, except for Sunday that I consider my 'cheat day' and I eat as much as anything I want. But normally, I always turn down invites to go to fast food places, I dislike drinking soda and any juices less than 100% juice, I only eat bread that's whole grain, etc etc. I also don't use artificial sweeteners for coffee and what not. I've read plenty of books that seem to 'expose' the stuff that is hidden in food and drinks and stuff that the government doesn't want me to know. I sometimes believe I read those books a little too much. My relatives and more grown friends are always telling me that I'm too young to worry about that kind of stuff, but I always reply that its stuff like that parents tell their kids that lead to child obesity. What now?
But anyhow, I do eat a lot of sugar-free, fat-free stuff (ie: Jello, cereal, chewing gum. . .), and I'm only 116 lbs.

I'd say, myself being on a healthy scale from 1-10, it would be a 4.5/10.

I'm not overweight, but I am inching towards there. My eyesight is pretty well for all that time I spend staring at screens with pixels. I only seem to get extended periods of exercise like once a week (over 45 minutes of walking/running/physical activity). I usually just sit on my ass and act depressed over the food I eat. Usually when I see nutrition facts on something with over 45% of my daily amount of fat, I'll say "NOOO! IT'S TOO UNHEALTHY! T-T" and then I eat it anyway... It doesn't seem to make my weight increase VISUALLY, but I bet if I weighed myself, I'd be larger. Haven't weighed myself in a LONG time.

The time I get the most exercise is at school, mainly lunch time, where I'm constantly going up and down stairs and possibly walking around town.

My parents feed me really greasy meat like every night =.= So usually on the weekends I let myself skip lunch unless I'm hungry. I usually eat minimal at school unless I have money to blow or I feel like being a pig.

Eating habits alone: Unhealthy. Fast food, candy, soda, lots of coffee (at least I drink it black). My breakfast and lunch are generally healthy, but dinner and interim snacks kill it for me.

But...
Eating + exercise habits: Healthy (at least according to a free health exam I received. Actually they said I don't eat enough "good fats" from fish and stuff).

So in conclusion. When I get too old to exercise, I'm going to become a fatass and get diabetes. But that day's still far on the horizon, so I guess I'm healthy for now.

Personally it all depends how folks understand "healthy."
Your friend who always eats a cucumber or whatever to stay I guess slimmed down, I don't quite call that living. Might as well be a farm animal.

To me it's knowing how to maintain physical activity and what you eat/drink in order to balance one another out. I think folks who call calorie counters stupid, are flat out retarded/ignorant. Personally I think everyone should calorie count, because it will then make you realize how actually easy it is to get in shape/lose weight if you do tend to go a little overboard one weekend.

I mean I think this last week I ate pizza three days in a row, and not by choice of course. Last night I ate cheese sticks, even though it was 9:00pm at night. Fried mozzarella that's like the worst. The day before I drank almost 1 big bottle of barefoot red wine. Which red wine is good for you but only a glass or two a night.

Personally I'm pretty healthy on a every day basis though. I like to indulge every now and again, but am able to lose whatever in a matter of a day. Not flaunting it, just saying.. I don't sit around.. I can't stand basking in my own well grease or sweat.

I grew up eating alot of vegetables so that was never really a problem for me. I would eat junk food regularly when I was at school but at 15 I began boxing and weights so I had to wean that out of my diet.

I enjoyed junk food and I've never been overweight, but when you've trained yourself into a certain way of eating/exercising for years it's difficult to stop. I took a range of supplements (vitamin not roids) and watched what I ate because if I didn't I'd likely lose to the guy who did.

I've slimmed down since my boxing days but alot of the muscle is still there and I still exercise regularly, I just don't have the same amount of time these days as I did back when I was a teen to do activities.

i know my diet is brilliant, but i get a bit of variety in there so it's not so bad. whenever i'm at my parents, my mum always makes a meat + two veg sort of meal so i get veg then, and the rest of the time i'm usually pretty lazy so it's either a takeaway or something in the oven that doesn't take any effort.

i play football two or three times a week which keeps me active, and i walk to work and most other places too.

Apart from eating chocolate, I am very healthy.

I probably walk for 1 - 2 hours a day, 3 - 5 days a week at the moment.

My daily diet tends to consist of the following:

  • Porridge made with soya milk and topped with a banana for breakfast. :ohshit:
  • A chocolate flavoured soya dessert.
  • Lunch is usually either: a tuna or salad sandwich, beans on toast, a salad or a wholesome (sometimes home-made) soup.
  • A bowl of plain yogurt and/or fruit as an afternoon snack.
  • Dinner is usually a portion of protein (a salmon fillet, 2 quorn sausages, or lentils) with A LOT of veg, selected from tomatoes, carrots, fine beans, celery (if it's a lentil dish), red pepper, leeks, courgettes and aubergine. I will also have mashed potato when my parents eat it!
  • I will then have another portion of plain yogurt for dessert.
  • Half a handfull of cereal before bed to tackle hunger.
I also snack on a couple of pieces of chocolate and little bits of muesli... I'll take out about four raisins three times a day... I'm a grazer. :wacky:

Europeans banned the importation of USA meat and milk years ago due to the synthetic hormones they contain.

Being someone who eats USA beef and drinks USA milk on a regular basis its quite possible my health is questionable based on that alone. :ohshit:

I try to eat healthy, but a lot of the time I'll eat mcdonald's or other fast foods. And, I'll eat a lot of canned food which is also generally unhealthy in terms of A) high salt content B) canned foods have a coating of bisphenol A plastic which is quite harmful if it leaches into the food C) processed food is generally unhealthy in numerous ways D) the US food production processes often involve GM (genetically modified) vegetables and synthetic hormone containing meat as well as anti-biotic resistant microbes, etcetera.

Little by little, I am making progress though and being more independent and healthy with my dietary and lifestyle habits. :argor:

My parents never bothered to force me to eat healthy, it really is amazing that I didn't end up a fat tub of lard. As I grew older though the metabolism started to fail me and now I am noticing I am gaining weight whereas before I didn't no matter what I ate.

I'm trying to eat a little healthier now to stop the kilos from piling on before it is too late. I am a lazy fucker so if I got fat there is no chance in hell I'd bother to get up and do exercise/eat better.

Also I get a lot of stomach problems when I eat too much junk so I should probably stop for that reason too.

I unfortunately don't do much exercise. :sad3:
