Wow! Those are some impressive videos. With that technology the games will be more exciting and enjoyable to play. I think it will be outstanding if the next generation of games comes out with those kind of graphics and voice overs. It will take the game generation to a whole new level. It will be a whole new experience for players to play games with this new technology.

The second video is disturbing xD I've seen these both before, but I think the PS3 would already be able to generate graphics like the second video. They still look fake and a bit cartoony. The first was very realistic though, but I can see them being able to do near-perfect realism by the time the PS4 and Xbox 720 come out.

Graphics will undoubtedly get more and more impressive and realistic with every generation of consoles that passes by, but the downside could be even longer development times. And imagine the budget you'd be using up in a game with extremely advanced visuals. As a result developers on Sony's and Microsoft's consoles would have to be large companies with enough revenue to make the games with smaller developers and developers more willing to take risks less likely to. So depending on how you kind of view this, advanced graphics may come with a drawback.

tbh i wouldnt be too happy if the next step in gaming was only more advanced graphics. the graphics dont make a game good. i think ideas like the move controller and the nintendo wii are steps in the rite direction. im not too fussed about graphics tbh

I agree with what Big Casino just said. It is not just about the graphics that makes the console, it's also about the controllers function, features, etc. Each console should have some kind of new features or updates to satisfy the gamers, not just high quality graphics.

Every next gen console is always better than the last, Cant wait to see what both systems will bring to the table especially how many dollars they want us to spend for their nicely crafted technology :I

That is pretty amazing stuff. However, no matter how good the graphics are yet, I still feel an un-naturalness to the first video. I really think its the blinking..or the emotionaless/ lack of soul behind the eyes

In a way I prefer the graphical capabilities of 16 or 32 bit consoles.

Its amazing what the next generation technology can do. But like CGI in movies I don't necessarily know that the upgrades have done much to help things I really care about: plot, originality, character development, gameplay, innovation.
