Serious topic.

Ok, so you got a gallon, carton, quarter, glass of milk in your refrigerator. Like a normal human being (or at least a polite one), when you're thirsty, you take a cup/glass out of the cupboard and pour yourself a glass of milk.

How many of you actually swing open the fridge door, and drink milk straight out of the carton? I've caught myself doing it on a fair share of occasions in my life and stopped myself just about 5 minutes ago. It's kinda unsanitary when you think of the other people in your house who drink that too, but you do it anyway.

Anyone else find themselves doing it when no one else is around in the house?
 
I do it all the time when I'm at college, but back at home, I never drink directly from the carton. I get a glass. >_>
 
I don't unless the think would be empty by emptying it into a glass anyways. Then I do it to save a dish. Which for me is a good thing since I have to do the dishes by hand due to our dishwasher being busted. Besides that I find it easier to pour it into a cup then drink from the carton. Expecialy if it's a galon and newly open or close to it.
 
I would do it all the time, even when somebody is at home. Of course I have been told not to do it but to be frank I just didnt feel like having a whole glass of milk, I just wanted a little sip. I mean I understand how people who are germaphobes that would have a problem with it but I dont care really, I like doing it just because. If I wanted a whole glass of milk I would have poured one.
 
Oh goodness no. Ha, i'd be dead if i were to drink out of the milk jug. My dad does it but when i try to he always says the same thing " I buy the milk i drink from the jug." Well, sometimes i sneak by him but ususally get a cup just so i know what's best for me :P
 
Whenever I have to share with someone else I always use a glass, even if it's the last bit in the container. If it's something I know I'm going to drink and no one else is, I'll drink straight from the container. Its usually one or the other but I don't do it with milk either way.
 
Eh, I don't really drink milk that often anyway, but when I do, I always pour it in a glass. Now, when it comes to drinks that I only drink (such as tea) then yeah, sometimes I'll just open that fridge (if I'm extremely thirsty and in a hurry) and take a quick gulp from the carton. Not very lady-like, I know, but who cares? :wacky: I'll only do that when I know that others won't drink it, so it's not like I'm passing my germs to everyone. And I'll do it even if everyone's at home. Like I said, it's no biggie to anyone.
 
We don't buy carton milk. We get those 3 bags in one bag that's 4L worth of milk, so we put the bag in a jug, and subsequently pour into whatever we need to :monster:

And anyways, even if we bought carton milk, the smell of the spout soaked in milk and surrounded by food in the fridge; even if it tastes fine, the smell of that is just nasty >_<
 
I drink straight from the carton most times if I just want a quick swig. Ofcourse I've been told not to do so by the parentals, but why would I make more washing up for myself just for the sake of a little bit of Milk? pffft.
 
I actually drink straight from the carton when my parents out....I'm too lazy to bring a glass and pour the damn milk in it and then drink it!. When my parents are home I don't dare to do that coz I'll be shot to death...Seriously... It's like a taboo!! :gasp:
 
Hmm i hate drinking milk, i like it with cereal but thats it. Gimme a glass of diluting juice anyday. I wouldnt drink from the carton though, i dont do it with juice in the fridge so i wouldnt do it with milk i dont think.
If my ma caught me doing that at home shed kill me, seeing as im a smoker and shes not.
 
I'm quite the hypocrite, I'l crink out of the carton, but tell anyone else off that does it...although I don't really mean it, it' not really that big a deal, unless soeone I dont know decides to help themselves to my milk...but thats's not very likely ..

My mum used to yell at me all the time, when Im round there I'l still ahev a sneaky swig out of the carton, I think I only do it coz I know it annoys her xD

And in my house, its my milk i nmy fridge, so there's nno one to answer to but myself. So yeah, IL SWIG OUT THE CARTON ALL DAY LONG IF i WANT

I do however do it with everything else. Soft drink, juice etc.

Until I moved out I was always taught that it was un-lady-like but yeah then I moved out and didn't feel like washing dishes all the time. >_< Besides my partner does it too.

I always get told off for it at work from a couple of workmates. But I'm in the tea room with only my workmates anyway so why should it matter. >_<

Dammit!!

Sometimes my brother buy his own milk so no one can drink from it, so I used to come and drink it from the carton and sometimes I spit in it...I used to be such an ass!!
 
I think I've had it a few times by it self, but not many times. If I do have it by myself I drink it streight out of the carton/bottle. i r lazeh.

If I do, however have it by it self, I usally use some Nesquick or a flavored straw. >_>
But my mum and dad don't get cartons we get bottles, like those plastic ones. >_>
 
I don't drink milk by itself so I've never drunk it straight out of the carton. As for other things like juice and soft drinks. I will generally just pour a glass, unless there is only a little bit left or if I bought the juice/soft drink just for myself.
 
I never drink out of the carton, to me, it's much more enjoyable to just pour it into a cup a drink it out of that rather than some carton, and it is the sanitary way to drink milk, obviously. =P
 
I do it all of the time with bottles of juice and cartons of milk; none of my family have ever really had an issue with it so I've never been brought up thinking that it's taboo. I'm the only one who drinks milk in the house, anyway.
 
The only time I ever drink milk is with sweets - like brownies, chocolate chip cookies and such.. just because it's creamy cold and goes down smooth. Water just would be disgusting.

And who drinks Oreos with Beer... lol. So yea, I drink it directly from a glass, not a cup, because it holds it's temp longer in a nice cold glass.
