For a world to start anew, the old world must break, shatter and reform. So thought the people that did this, anyway. The people that broke the world before its time. Some did it to see what would happen. Others did it to bring their own beliefs to the fore, and mold an infant world to their liking.
Catastrophe can bring people together, or it can tear them apart. In this case, it did both to different people, as people began to influence the world around them, and with the world, the people who inhabited it. The people so infinitely different from one another, with different ideals, different powers, and different minds. Some fell before the ideals of others. After all, strength of body and mind was needed to forge the world anew.
Apparently, only one ideal came to pass, striking down the others, talking them out, or fusing their ideals with itself. And that was how the world came to be as it was today.
But it's only a matter of time until someone craves change. The world will fall yet again in the endless cycle of life, death and life again.
It is then that you, man or woman, adult or child; a child of God and Lucifer, of good and evil, of sin and regret, of earth and fire, will have to forge your ideals anew. Or you'll never survive. To make the world yours, you must nurture it, make your decisions, break your barriers, and start anew. Hesitation means only death or failure.

Demons
At a point early in the RP, you will acquire a single demon to use, which you may take from mythology or acquire from scratch. This may be any figure that is not from Judeo-Christian lore, which will be explained in another section. There MIGHT be an exception to this rule, but you'll have to give me a damn good reason to make it so.
Demons will have both a dormant or passive state, be it as an accessory, such as a hairclip, a cell phone, etc, or even just nonexistent. They will also have an active form, which is the form they can take when directly summoned by their owner.
Remember that summoning demons will cost your character a significant amount of strength. You're literally drawing something otherworldly into another dimension with nothing but your own strength. It's gonna tire your character out.
To start with, please remember that you're gonna have one demon, and one only. Having a practical army of demons from the beginning makes you overpowered, and ruins the fun for everyone else. As well as that, they and you will start off weak. You from inexperience, the demon from being pulled into another universe.

Angels/Fallen Angels
Angels tend to be (but aren't always) a force of good, representing God, compassion, and tolerance. As angels are often seen as celestial beings, please please pleeeeeease, don't take them for your starter, as you'll just be denied. If you make certain decisions in this RP, angels will become accessible to you, but for the time being, please leave them as NPCs.
____________________________________________
Character Development
You all might have an idea as to what your characters will be, and you're free to make that so. But please do it through development and don't have your character that way from the start. Let NPCs, other characters, and the events I give you all to work with mold your character into what you want them to be. It's more fun for me, others and yourself. This isn't a rule so much as advice.

NPCs
NPCs, or non playable characters, are characters I will exclusively be controlling for the purpose of plot and character development. These are inspired by Devil Survivor, where decisions you make will decide what happens to who, whether they will be friend or enemy, live or die. Since I'll be acting as a gamemaster rather than immersing a single character int he story, I'll decide what each NPC does and where they do it.
______________________________________________
Starting Locations
This is where your character starts his/her journey in the fictional city (which I haven't named yet >.>) There are a total of eight starting positions, and this decides who your characters meet first.
Central District
The industrial center of the city, this is where the majority of factories and mechanical workshops are situated. The stench of smoke constantly permeates the air.
Residential District
Full of apartments and terraced houses, this is where most people live. Less than ten minutes away from both the industrial and shopping districts, this is the place to live if you're rich, lucky, or sly enough to get a place.
Suburbia
Where people who don't have quite as much money, or just want a quieter existence live. With neat lawns, flowers, and perfectly white houses, everything looks more natural in Suburbia. Half an hour away from the shopping district. An hour away from the industrial district
Shopping District
This is where the majority of shops are in the city, with huge, multifloor shopping malls reaching into the clouds, as well as smaller, cheaper, family owned businesses. Rich or poor, this is the place everyone shops. A church is also present on the outskirts of this district.
Mother HQ
The headquarters of the enigmatic Mother group, who often speak of loving the earth and how Gaia has not been appreciated recently, and that that must change for anything to proceed. Also the procurers of herbal remedies and natural cures. (Note: You may not start as a member of Mother, but may become one over the course of the RP.)
Soulsavers HQ
The headquarters of the religious Soulsavers group, who often speak of loving the divine, appreciating what we cannot see, and believing in a force greater than ourselves. (Note: You may not start a member of the Soulsavers, but may become one over the course of the RP.
Sublime Park
A place of nature on the outskirts of the city, where birds and the other sounds of nature can constantly be heard. Possibly the only place in the city where the stench, sights, or sounds of the Industrial District are not present.
Emergency District.
Branching from the Industrial District, Residential District and Shopping District, and just on the outskirts of Suburbia is the Emergency District, where Scarlet Police Station and Sacred Heart Hospital can be found, as well as the local fire station.

Elements
Physical
The power to inflict brute physical damage upon their enemies, those who wield physical power are limited to close range attacks for the most part, but hit hard when they get close.
Fire
The power to generate fire around to you to raze your surroundings, generate blistering explosions and create barriers and obstructions, fire is mainly offensive in nature.
Water and Ice
The power to invoke the power of water and ice as an offensive and defensive force. Whether it's flood and spear or barrier and diversion, water and ice are a force to be reckoned with.
Electricity
The power to deliver precision strikes with sizzling bolts of electricity, as well as generate long lasting force fields and charge objects for new uses, electricity users have versatility on their side, and are only limited by their imaginations.
Air
With the power to call forth storms and control the winds, those with power over the air tend to be able to take flight and move quickly, making for a truly formidable foe.
Earth
The earth itself bends to the will of those who specialize in this element, allowing them to rend the earth, command plants, and invoke a small amount of healing energy, making an earth specialist a great asset.
Psy
With the ability to control their surroundings simply with their mind, the power of thought is truly a force to fear when those with this power have it under their control. Telekinesis, telepathy and psychokinesis are the powers of this force.
Mind
With the power to hypnotize, generate illusions, and psychologically break their targets, those with the power of Mind operate differently from those with the power of Psy, being able to intrude on minds and rewrite them as they wish.
Support
With the power to heal and strengthen who they wish, those who gain support abilities pay with immobility; they are sealed within a crystalline bubble while they cast their magic, and so directly open to attack.
Light
Under the sole command of the angels, nothing is known of this element at the moment
Darkness
Under the sole command of only the most powerful demons, nothing is currently known of this element.

Rules
Godmodding, powerplaying and metagaming. Not gonna happen in this RP or you'll get a visit from an NPC who'll put you on the receiving end of said tactics.
Please remember that this RP will present figures from mythology and religion in a less conventional and more controversial light. If you're religiously sensitive, it might be best not to join.
Disagreements between members as to who wins and who loses in a conflict WILL be dealt with by a coin toss should it escalate.
If you dislike someone or feel oppressed by someone in the RP, try and talk it out with them. If you can't, take it to me or Terrible Terry Tate.
Aaaand that's all I think. Thanks for reading all this guys. Have fun making your characters. I'll have my NPCs up within the week.
