[CX] The Facility

I've only ever played the demo for Dynasty Warriors 2 (I think) on the PS2, and loved that demo very, very much. I heard that the series went massively downhill soon after that though so I never bought any of the games.

If Dynasty Warriors 7 is meant to be great and such then I'll consider getting it. I've always wanted to own a game of that style which plays well and has good multiplayer.

I've heard N3:Ninety-Nine Nights, an underrated game I really enjoyed, is similar to the DW series. If so then I'll check it out. Maybe after I knock out more of my backlog.
 
The japanese version is already out so you can always have a look at some gameplay videos and form an opinion from there?

So are each of the games related as far as the plot goes? Or is it all in the same world but different locations for example like Suikoden.

As far as plot goes, they're pretty much identical :wacky: just normally they add extra stuff in like for instance, in 4 you hd the 'duel' option (it needs to return!) and also in 4 it let you alter how the battle goes, casualty wise. For instance in the battle of... Cheng Du I think you could save Pang Tong before he gets assassinated, shit like that.

I think in 7 it's also taking an element from 4 and playing the story out as a kingdom, rather than individual warriors, so you won't have to complete it 62 times xD

They also brought in the 'Jin' kingdom meaning the story will go further than ever before (it always ended shortly before Jin was formed)

I see. Well I think I'll check out the demo for it when it comes out and I'll decide then.

That's a badass sounding music track. But yes it reminds me of N3. Although unless I try the demo out first I doubt I'll buy it right away.
 
Here's hoping one gets released :hmmm: unless you get an x amount of days money back guarrantee anywhere when you buy it?
 
Or I might just take GameFly out for a whirl and experiment on with that game. Seems much easier than paying $60 for a new game I don't know if I'll enjoy.
 
Yeah I'm getting DW7 as well. :ohoho: Depending on how my coursework goes, I'll either get it on Friday or Saturday.

My house mate and I are planning to play 2 player conquest mode, have loads to drink and probably order... chinese food during that weekend. :wacky: I'm sure Damon and I will let you know what we think of it. It's quite an addictive game.

Also Damon, have you seen Gan Ning? He has no nipples. 8(

Oh also, I just discovered DW7 has online play, at fucking last :ryan:
