MW1 is a lot quicker so the pace is probably harder for n00bs to keep up with. MW2 the maps are a lot bigger so you could walk around for ages without finding anyone plus everyone always seem to go to the same places as well.
I might jump on, the challenges in GOW2 are starting to annoy me so I think it's time for a game change for a bit.

I can't believe that I hadn't ever given God of War 1 and 2 a try until this week. That said, I'm glad I waited for the re-mastered PS3 versions. Trophies etc.
I might have to get the third one day if I can see it cheap.

How so? Improving strategies among friends is always fun for me. We went 10/1 the other night with Domination games, only game we lost in was Wastelands because the other team got pissed off and stated noob tubing each and every point. It was sad I tell ya.
I hate Wasteland. I think it's the one map you can either do really well or god awful regardless of how good you are. You either run into the middle and try to get as many kills as possible or stay around the edges sniping

I checked out Gamestop today and they're doing some pretty good deals. I think God of War III is going for $30 or $40 atm. I got MW2 for $50, so I saved ten bucks seeing as it's still going for $60 regularly. It was between that and Ninja Gaiden II, but then I figured no one's playing Ninja Gaiden II here so I can't really do co-op with anyone. That's next on my list though, just waiting for the price to go down a bit more.
Then I bought Fallout 3 for Xbox for $20. Not bad. I was going to go with Left 4 Dead and thought of Tia immediately, but I chickened out when I saw a clown on the back cover. Sorry Tia, I'd love to play with you but I can't see myself playing that game. xD

Grenade only deathmatch is fucking hilarious. That is all. (even though it's not since I have to elaborate)
I played a few matches of it today and it's just mindless fun. I haven't laughed that much in forever.
Also I was in a match with a PSN friend and lobbed a grenade at a riot shield guy, and it ended up going right under her... but didn't kill her...
So she flew like 10 ft into the air and came back down standing up. 
It was probably even more hilarious than when Dan threw the grenade at Mits and I in the Sanctuary.
I played a few matches of it today and it's just mindless fun. I haven't laughed that much in forever.

You should preserve the replay footage of that one, as that's the kind of thing that must be seen again from many different angles. I can't wait to try grenade-only games. They're built for me.

What if people have fun going through the levels again? It's up to the person to have fun with a game. A level cap at 70 with the amount of time people play this game would be pretty shit.

All they'll be doing is playing it safe, keeping what previously worked etc. Eventually online will need to be reformed, there's only so many titles you can play the same system over and over again until the appeal drops and becomes boring.
What Mw2 lacks is the ability to play Split screen online and that totaly just sucks. I mean Cod is such a big sellin franchise and it still doesnt have that feauture which is pretty fucking sad.

Haze did, and I think that a few others have been known to in the past. That said, Haze didn't exactly do very well so I can't really use that as evidence that it can work. I think it did work though, and it worked quite well.
It puts you at a disadvantage and it is hard to see, but I'd much rather have the choice of having splitscreen with real friends, instead of having to rely on playing people over the internet only.
When I play with friends I play for fun or mess abouts, so I tend not to care as much if my vision is slightly off because of the squashed screens. Plus you get to work together easily, so it can balance out like that.
I think it's a great idea to have real life friends AND online people at the same time. It works great on LBP, but sadly I've not seen it work very well on anything else yet. Splitscreen should be used more often again I think, as it seems to be the only way to get over this problem.
