Cooking

I really enjoy cooking as long as im in the mood for doing it.
Weekends etc when i have some time i like to go for it. After working for 9 hours? No thanks :wacky:
I like to think im awesome but im probadly not, im just someone who eats pretty much anything so im not too fussy. My mum though is epic. My home made mac and cheese doesnt taste no where near as good as hers :(

I love cooking, though I can't cook a large variety of foods yet. One type of food I'm pretty good at making is sushi. My parents own a Japanese restaurant and I help make sushi there once in a while. I'm not sure if making sushi is considered cooking though.

I can cook a few basic dishes pretty much unaided, such as pork chops - and things like cauliflower cheese (which I strangely like) mostly unaided. It's the basic kind, so I was never expecting it to be culinary genius anyway, and it gets the job done. From university onwards, you pretty much do need to have some knowledge in cooking as it will come in handy quite a few times at least. I usually aspire to only cook for myself, so I stick to the basic recipes, although given total free reign, I would love to be a bit more adventurous and go for the more complex dishes. Cooking's fun, a rather crucial skill and productive.

I can cook a few things. Usually I cook Pasta for myself and such. In most cases it is spaghetti. I can cook meat as well. You need cooking even if you arent good at it. I am not that good at it myself but I can cook a few quick things granted. I do try different ways of doing things while cooking food sometimes. Recipes are always quite fun. My family tend to know a lot of them. But ha nothing beats my grandmother's cooking :ryan:. Things like lasagna (which so happens to be my favorite dish) I cant cook for shit xD. I learn more and more while coming across things I guess xD. You do need it in later stages of life just like Livi said above. Always good to learn something even if it is just cooking something simple.

I love to cook. I like to make the most of my meals and find that home-cooked meals are more satisfying and taste so much better! You can also make the same dish far healthier, which means you can eat more. :sup:

I love mixing new flavours and discovering a great combination, too! Sometimes, I'll find a recipe but adapt it to my low-fat pescatarian diet! For example, I made a moroccan lentil and aubergine bake using a recipe with meat and cream in.

I tend to make very wholesome dishes. Favourites include vegetable curry, spicy bean mix, vegetarian shepherds pie with lentils, lentil and egg curry, home-made pizza, courgette and feta fritters, vegetable pasta bake, scallop and vegetable stir fry, and ratatoille with an egg. :wacky:

I also love to cook for other people. There is something satisfying about making my mum cauliflower cheese to surprise her when she gets back from work. I once cooked the same dish for the mother of my ex, actually. She'd never had home-made cauliflower cheese before and always bought it from the shops! :gonk: She was so happy when I showed her how to make it from fresh. I remember her smiling as she excitedly added each piece of cheese to the white sauce. :)

I quite like cooking as long as I'm in the right mood and I have something to listen to, then I enjoy and even find it quite relaxing, although I do insist on giving myself cigarette breaks. I find chopping shit up and planning how to cook something quite enjoyable. It's only when I'm rushed that I dislike it. However the main problem is that the benchs are usually quite low, I could wash my dick in the sink if I was so inclined. That means I have to be bending over the whole time that I'm cooking so my back hurts which puts me in a bad mood and I curse whatever midget lived here before I did. I also must have something to drink when I'm cooking, either a beer, or Irn Bru or a mojito, but I cannot cook without a drink close at hand.

I love cooking :jess:

I love to throw dinner parties for my families and friends and cook for them :ryan: It's so much fun and I never seem to burn the dinner :yay:

However I've always been a bit more of a baker, and I find myself baking more often. I just love baking cookies :woo:

I haven't really cooked much before. I do Microwave all the time. But the few times I've used the oven and such it was bad times. I am so afraid of getting burned, that it almost renders me completely useless in the kitchen. I really need to get over that. So for now, no, I don't enjoy cooking.

I love cooking, primarily since it bond myself and my brother, who's a chef. He's taught me a few things in the kitchen and I hope to learn more sometime.

Plus, I always felt that something crafted yourself is better than something easy, so I feel food tastes better when it's cooked by hand.

i quite enjoy cooking, so i don't know why i don't do it more often. i work odd hours, so i'm not always guaranteed to be in at meal times and if i am, then i'll often just want to relax rather than spend time cooking. if i had a bit more time to myself then i'd probably cook more inventive things, or at least do more than heat something in the oven. i make a really good spaghetti carbonara though, which is really quick and easy to make.
