Cactuar and Adamantoise in FFXIII

Very profound insight into the Adamantoise, guys! It could be a form of transportation, but I can't really see how you can get anyone or anything up on that behemoth of a tortoise that massive.

Come to think of it- it does remind me of Sin a lot as well. Both are reptilian-like titans, although Sin is still obviosuly larger and more omnipotent. To Sin, this guy is small fry.
 
Sin seems more fish than reptilian however, but to answer your question, you forget that FF13 returns us to the dystopian future seen in 7 and 8. The people of Cocoon or Pulse may have designed something to overcome that limitation.
 
Well, it's been 20 fricken' years! Of course Cactuar should have a girlfriend, my goodness. Though evil humongo Cactuar looks... well epic. It should difficult to beat, but that would just make it all the more satisfying...

Let's just assume that Sin is both fish-like and reptilian- fish-like in that it swims and has a fin tail, and reptilian in that it looks scale-like and can live outside of water. :D Everyone's happy!

Enough of Sin. As for the "dystopian future", I have the impression that only Cocoon is the dystopian sci-fi world, while Pulse is merely the stone-age, ravaged by monsters and natural environments. But I suppose some exiled Cocoonians can overcome the size problem.
 
that's plausible, though I would not completely say that Pulse is stone-ageish backwards, if there are exiled Cocoon citizens living in Pulse, It would not come as a surprise that there may be technology that could tame such massive beasts and use as an advantage.

Cocoon is fortunate that the city is a floating continent of sorts.

Or maybe, like the mist of FF12, something has caused the Adamantoise to grow far larger than it originally was (I mean seriously, the food it would take to support a creature of that size daily is astronomical)
 
I'm curious to see the larger enemies in action, there's definitely one in one of the trailers but it's too far away to get any real size proportion on it. There's supposed to be dinosaur like things in Versus XIII too :hmmm:

The first one more likely than the second, though I don't know how big the FF12 Adamantoise was, or if the FF13 variant is bigger.

I'm not too interested in XIII to be completely honest.

But Cactuar's girlfriend is hilarious. xD It has the flower thing going on. (Jess, xD!! Look familiar? rofl)

It does all look really pretty though. :hmmm: We'll see if the game proves to be as gorgeous. :ryan:

Cactuar's girlfriend is so cute ^_^. I seriously cannot wait to see what battle will be like, even more so now!

It's still massive but as every man and his dog probably expected, it was made smaller.
 
Thank goodness it will be shrunken down when it comes to the battle screen. I don't think I'd have liked to try and fight something whose toes are the only thing I can see.

But when it comes to the field screen, and I see that giant behemoth of a tortoise coming up from behind me, I think I'll still be intimidated even knowing it can just be an unrepresentative scale.
