The theme this week is Freedom. Please remember, that while posting isn't necessary in order to count your vote, it is encouraged.

Also, please remember that you CANNOT vote for your own entry, and you will be disqualified from this AOTW, and the next two AOTWs if you do so.

I love that flower effect that 2 has. It is so colorful and vibrant. The text could have been better, but it just looks so colorful and awesome to me. I vote 2 (y)
 
The 2nd one is well done, but the text is just what really threw it off for me. I really preferred the subtleness, and soft colour of the 1st one. They're both very nicely done, so I chose #1.
 
I vote #1 as well.

I'm not a fan of the size and font of the text at the bottom, but other than that, I think it's very apt for the theme of freedom. There's a person with their arms out, which sums up exactly to me the idea of freedom. I also love the use of bright colours, which suggests liberty and happiness in a sense.
 
#1 is what I think when I hear freedom so I like the idea on that. #2 was good but, it wasn't as rich in color (the bg) as number one is IMO The first one has a nice range of warm colors and freedom is happiness IMO which when I think of that I see nice warm colors and that's what I saw in #1. The text kindof was out of place but, overall #1 looks nice. =)

When I think of freedom, I imagine light colours. So that's why my vote is going to #1. It just seems there's more about that avatar representing the freedom. It's got that little bit more effort and very much appeals to me.
 
These are both great avatars, so great job to both of you that made them. Number one has a very bright appeal to it, and it definately makes you want to use it :wacky:. Number two has a great calm, and gentle vibe to it; something that is hard to come across in avvys. While they both present such great typography, i do think one stands out more then the other; #1. I will say this because, i am a big fan of lighting, although this one had a bit too much lighting to it, i still think it best represented the theme and even made me feel free just looking at it.

Still with all that being said, number two is also a great avvy, but i think the white border killed it. Now if there was some transparency stuff going on, then it would of changed my mind. But still, both avvys are great, just #1 got my vote.

I like the vibrancy in 2 but i dont think the space is used ads best as it could an the text puts me off a little. Also it doesnt say freedom to me.

Number one has a good stock image, it suits the theme well imo. not really liking the text or brushing but i do prefer it to number 2.
 
When the theme is Freedom, I think you need to put in more effort to actually make an avatar that follows that theme rather than just using the word 'Freedom'. I couldn't really associate 2 with freedom apart from the text.

The stock used in 1 conveys that message so it gets my vote.
