This weeks theme was Chrono Trigger. Only two entries this week and here they are!

This one is gunna be close, real close.

I went with number 1. I really really like them both, however the smoothness of number one i prefered over the grainy look of number 2.

Great work to both, i would use both of them as my avatar anyday.
 
Number one. I really like how that Avvy looks, and the text is just simply really nice. ^^ I really preffered it over number two. Although I like the darker colours better, I dunno nothing about the theme but... I just went by my likings. And that's number One. ^^ Good job on both.
 
I voted for #1.

I love the the softness and lighting and how the character looks as though he's looking beyond the avatar into the light.

The text placement is awesome and very creative giving it more points! The three little circles underneath the text looks awesome as well! I also like how the two lines of text are different colours. It looks great!

Well done to both entries!
 
I'm voting for number two. I like how the effects have brought attention to the darker lines of the render and the vivid red in the background compliments the render well.
 
#2 because of higher quality and nice colour blend and match. well done to the 2 entries!
 
I really liked the both but I went with #2 mainly because I wasn't keen on the text in #1, #2 had a great text and I seem to like those round things lately <_<
 
I like number 2 better mainly cause of the colors and the text. Number 1 was just not eye catching at all for me. I like the image in number 2 better also. So number 2 it is.
 
I'm voting for number two. While number one was also excellent. I loved the colors and the vibrancy in avatar two, and I totally adore the textwork!

Good job to the two of you though ^^
 
I like the 2nd one, colours cool and I dont liek the text in the first one =/ Other than that they are both assum
 
I'll have to go for #1. The colour scheme is good, and it's cropped at a good angle. Also the text is well-aligned and fits the colours. The second one seems a little bit too dark for my taste.

So, #1 is my vote. :monster:
 
I loved them both equally to be honest. It was very hard to decide on this one just because it was right down the middle.

#1 I liked the text out to the side as well as the reflective picture itself.

#2 Reminded me of chibi gohan and also had great lighting on it.

I'm choosing #2 because of the primary lighting. Very good job to you both, I'm sorry I didn't have a "vote for both" option.
 
Both are nice, but I chose number 1. Mainly for its nice crisp, clear text and a nice warm feeling to it. Good job.
 
Both entries were great, but my vote is going to go to entry #2 this week. While I normally prefer the smooth and simple look, such as in entry 1, it just didn't capture my interest or my eye this time. Avi #2 stood out immediately and had great textwork, so it's the clear winner for me.
 
ima have to go with #2 , I love the text and the background fits so well with the render, plus the lighting is spot on and I prefer the image used. ^_^
So yeah, I choose #2
