Actors/Actresses You Can't Stand

Have you ever refused to watch a movie because that one actor or actress you absolutely cannot stand is in it?

I've been in this situation plenty of times, mainly when my sis-in-law tells me to watch a particular movie but I dislike the one or two of the stars, so I'll make a lame excuse to not watch it. There's been times where I did watch a few of the movies and I ended up not enjoying it because of the stars I can't stand. I know it seems silly to let that be a factor, but still...

Anyway here's few that I don't really like:

Seth Rogen - Mainly because in Zack and Miri Makes A Porno, he completely disgusted me. I actually walked out in the middle of it because his way too frequent cussings got old the first 10 minutes into the movie. He seems ok in other movies when he's not the main star though, but I try to avoid movies that has him in it.

Julia Stiles and Roberts - Eww.

Dennis Quaid - He's ok, but I tend not to take his movies seriously. I saw GI Joe last week and when he came on, I just had to groan.

Drew Barrymore - Er...yeah I don't enjoy most of her movies, except maybe E.T when we were both younger.


There's more but those are the ones I can think of at the moment.

Anyone of those Ben Affleck clones. Those clean cut guys who are supposed to be good looking but just can't act. Orlando bloom probably goes in that category too.
Will Ferell too, with all his comedies, I don't find him funny, it's alright if he's not playing a leading actor because then the film is not about him and therefore could be bearable.
It doesn't bother me too much, bad acting can be forgiven if the rest of the movie is good. On the other hand if the movie is generally bad, plot, camera etc etc then good acting can't save it. Although there are some actors who can yurn something average into something good.

Hayden Christensen. he was a big stinker in Attack of the Clones, but I still gave him the benefit of the doubt and went and saw Revenge of the Sith. That's about as much Hayden Christensen as anyone should ever endure in a life time I reckon. My gag reflex couldn't possibly handle watching another flick with him in it.

Another one is Helena Bonham Carter. She's a rubbish actress and she looks like a painted crack whore in 90% of all movies she stars in. She also seem to be a main fixture in her husband's movies, which are all rubbish as well.

He just really gives me the shits. He thinks he is so good. <_<

I mean even when he is acting you can tell that he just thinks he's hot stuff and loves himself. <_<

Steve on the other hand loves him! He's Steve's favourite male actor which always causes a problem when it comes to choosing a movie.

The one I hated him most in was 'The Bank Job'.

Yuck.

I can't think of any girls I dislike at the moment, but when I do I will be back.

Matt Damon.
I just think hes incredibly dull as an actor. Even in action films like the bourne series i found him to be very dull. Theres nothing exciting or interesting about him. To me hes the same in every movie, his characters personalities are always similar even though theyr 'meant' to be different. His lack of talent in acting just makes himm like captain carboard.
Im also not fond of Jenifer aniston or hugh grant I mean romantic films are bad enough but these 2 just irritate me no end. Hugh is so pompous and a stereotypical Englishmen. Jennifer Aniston i find whiney and annoying, even in friends she was a of a pain. I avoisd films with these 2 at all costs :/

Angelina Jolie is pretty poor. She over acts most of the time and it's very off-putting. Having said that, I didn't think she was too bad in Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
I've gotten sick of seeing Seth Rogen in every comedy that comes out now. At first his films were enjoyable, but there have been far too many of them now. In fact, any of the cast of either Knocked Up, Superbad and Pineapple Express are pretty poor.

I have to agree with you, Lew. I can't stand Matt Damon either. Even when he was younger, I never liked him as an actor.

Halle Berry is another one. >.> I don't find her acting that great either.

Kirsten Dunst is okay...I'll still watch her films but her acting is terrible, especially in Spiderman. A little overdone and trying too hard.

And a new one on my list...Channing Tatum! Ugh, has anyone seen G.I Joe yet? That guy was terrible beyond belief. His lines sounded so rehearsed and his accent was annoying. One of the worst actors I've seen. I can think of a few Disney actors/actresses who acts better than him and I think they're quite horrible too. But seriously, why they picked him to act as Duke is beyond me. Duke is supposed to be a bad-ass character...Channing is not bad-ass, just another pretty-boy who can't act. He couldn't even say a few of his lines properly. I laughed when he was pointing a gun at Anna and said "Just give me the suitcase damnit"...lawl. He was trying to have an emotional edge to his tone but failed horribly and said it in a very weak voice. He should have just said it in a boring monotone voice...maybe he wouldn't have sounded like an idiot.

Ben Stiller - One trick pony anyone? I used to not mind him as much, but after meet the parents.. I sort of hated his style. Along came polly was one of the worse flicks ever. Tropic of thunder.. made me want to beat my head against a tree.

Jason Stratham - I would love to kick his arse. He was amazing in Snatch, AMAZING, but then of course he blew it when he did all the transporter movies and Crank. What a flop.

Drew Berrymore - No talent hack. Worst actress in the world, people just feel for her since she is a modern normal looking woman. I feel no pity for her substance abuse, if Steven Spielberg didn't feel sorry for her, we wouldn't have to deal with her.

Meryl Streep - YEP! I said it, I can't stand her. She might be a good actor in other people's eyes, but she is an uppity high-dollar person. She is smug beyond all hell, and her acting to me is always overly done. She to me has always tried to hard. It never was natural. The type who was always made fun of in high school, and when even famous is still bitter with the other 99% of the population.

Jack Black - Alright.. I'm coming down off my high horse on this one. He has been over done like most comedians. I used to love his stuff back in the day, from High Fidelity to other stuff, but when he first started doing Tenacious'D material and getting big on the scene, he was everywhere. So jack black pretty much does the same thing in most of his movies.

Adam Sandler - He isn't young anymore. His childish ways got old. I miss his old stuff. He used to be so over the top, but when he got older he still did the same childish.. "abby dooby" stuff. I just don't dig it anymore.

Just don't see how that Adam Sandler is on anyones list lol, he has an extensive history as an epic comedy actor that probably nearly made you shit yourself laughing at one time in your life

I will agree with Will Ferrel to an extent... But I thought Taladega Nights was alright. Last movie I saw with him in it was Step Brothers, which was a knockout, but didnt exactly have me gasping for air.... it was quite juvenile (which is fine.... We usually laugh at middle school kids anyway ), but moments felt like they were just planted too far away to have that OMG IM LAUGHING TO DEATH PLZ MAKE IT STOP PLZZZZZZZZZZZ LOLOLOLOLOL feeling.

at some points I just wanted to slap myself for feeling like I had to blast out with HAR HAR HARRRRR HAR HAR HARHARHAR instead of giggling. <_<

That bein' said... I guess I really don't rag a lot on actors. Not really a conessueir of movies, I really don't have an issue with actors as long as they're doing their job of keeping me amused.... which is probably never a problem since I only watch Comedy / Horror.

But now come to think of it.... That bitch from The Strangers really pissed me off >_>

Still though, apart from the Transformers movies, most of her credited parts seem to be small supporting roles/cameos in TV shows. That's hardly being in every single damn movie.

I do agree that it's easy to completely burn out on overexposed actors though. Johnny Deep for example seem to have churned out atleast one huge blockbuster every single year for the past 10 years or so, and I'm seriously getting tired of him. It's not that he's a bad actor or anything, it's just that every human being has a breaking point. Even when it comes to Jack Sparrow...

I'd say that 99.99% of the Disney actors and actresses annoy me altogether.

Particularly the likes of Selina Gomez, who has no acting talent whatsoever. After being forced to watch repeats of Wizards of Waverly Place, her acting is too forced and over the top.
