Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary logo revealed

Square Enix has revealed the official logo for its Final Fantasy 25th anniversary celebration.

Upcoming 3DS release Theathrythm: Final Fantasy will be the first of many to feature the logo. Let’s hope Final Fantasy Versus XIII is, at least, the last of them.
The first Final Fantasy was released for the Nintendo Entertainment System in Japan on December 18, 1987.

There making a logo for the 25th Anniversary ?? Does this mean were having another year of old remakes of FFI-VI :damon: I really hope not, no offence but im sick of remakes of these games no matter how good they are, wait till the current consoles they can be played on are no longer in production at least!

But nice logo... wish it had a chocobo also :chocobo: but the moogle is cool :moogle:
 
I like the logo, and hope they have something big planned for Final Fantasy later this year that we don't know about. I might be dreaming, but I'd love an RPG masterpiece to be released on their 25th year.
 
Odd they have a logo of something they barely even feature in games since 9 :hmmm:

Can't say I like how it was designed though at any rate.
 
Sal, Sal, Sal. You overlook one major thing. Versus won't be here until the 30th anniversary at least. There's still mounds of spinoff Kingdom Hearts games, FFXIII-2 DLC and a
hypothetically possible FFXIII-3
to go through first! :awesome:
 
If I were to pick a theme for the 25th logo. I would personally have gone with a Chocobo, or Crystal done in Amano style.

Also, moogles have been in FF XI, XII, XIII-2, XIV. Not sure how this statement applies:

It looks like my 4yr old niece doodled on top of some fancy script... that cartoonish looking logo is not representative of the epic tales the games have been.
 
It fits well with the spin-offs SE has spewed over the last couple of years. ._. It's cute but not a good representative of 25 years with the series.

Not everythign has to be fancy pants amazing artwork all the time

Sometimes keeping it simple is cool, especially as the first lot of FFs weren't fancy pants graphically, I think it fits the theme nicely. Kinda going back to the roots, visually
 
Does this mean they're going to be releasing another ultimania guidebook with info on games 1-13? :hmmm: I know they did it with the 20th anniversary... so will they do it with the 25th too? :huh:

And I actually like the logo. It's cute :ryan: I like it much better than the 20th, that's for sure. :lew:

well, i really hope that the games that will be coming for the 25th anniversary will be good.

Let the mark of the 25th year be a good one ...
 
I MUCH prefer the 25th anniversary logo to the 20th, it has a retro kind of feel to it. The 20th anniversary logo just feels like a run of the mill drawing with absolutely no character. To be honest I can't seem them making a big deal over the 25th though.

I just mean in 10 you never saw them, can't speak for 11, 12 only had them as chocobo merchants and they were just a shop mascot in 13. Granted in 13-2 they seem to be trying to give moogles more of a role than 'just being here' :hmmm:

I think in X, Mog was a weapon for Lulu? And 12's warping moogles looked weird.
 
Personally I think a chocobo would have been a better mascot cause it's appeared even every FF, but when they do they really don't play a huge role other than transport. Perhaps a Boko would have been adorable. But Moogles, when they did appear sometims, held a big role. So it fits.

I like it, like someone said, it's very Retro and takes you back to the nes FFs. Perhaps we might see some remakes this year (hopefully the culimnating release of V/VI to lead to VII) :megusta:

I like how there is a "since 1987" in that rather clunky-looking logo. As if people couldn't figure out for themselves what year the franchise started based on the number given...

...but then, FFXIII and FFXIII-2 ARE selling remarkably well. So perhaps that isn't entirely unfounded :edd:
 
i lik this logo. the music game actually looks kinda interesting. random thought tho is the ff7 compilation finished? seems lik it jus dropped off the face of the earth
 
Theathrythm: Final Fantasy? I've never heard of that, so this is news to me. I just saw some footage on youtube, it actually looks really nice, like a Final Fantasy Guitar Hero. xD

Will they have all FF characters in it? I see Buntz, so I'm wondering if Zidane and Tidus will be in it along side Terra and Vaan. :P

I like the drawing, plain, but eh.

Oh! Just found another footage on youtube! It does have Zidane, Terra and Tidus! Oh my gosh, and they have Decisive Battle! T.T
