There is a possibility that Britain had been trading since the Bronze Age with powers such as the Myceneans (the Greeks living during the period that would form some of the basis for the myths such as the Trojan War), and that Cornish Tin may have been a major export… But really, Britain was for a long time beyond everything. The first major expedition to it to make note of it was by the Greek Pytheas in the 4th Century BC. It’s a shame we can’t have a complete account of what he’d reported, but what we can glean from him is interesting.
 I’ve heard about that tribe, but I don’t know much about them. I think they were used on the TV show Greatest Warriors (or whatever it was called) where people test the weaponry, tactics, and abilities of different historical warriors / armies and pit them against each other. I didn’t watch the whole episode, but I think what little I saw resembles what the tribe you describe did.
 Old Comedy was awesome. 
 
 It's also hard to find something that isn't androgynous, and most modern fan-art (?) of him tends to be of an anime-bishy style which is not my ideal for him.
