Not bad ^^ what grapics package do you use?
The second one is rather good, the blending is very well done. Maybe try adding some gradients to it thatl help out the lighting.
Ur avatars are great ^^ im terrible with avatars so im quite jealous of yours .

I used to use Serif Photoplus, but now I've got a Photoshop Trial. :3 The icons were done on Photoplus.
Aw, thanks! :] I only uploaded a few because I thought they might seem too plain.
I'll try adding some gradients to the second one now ^^

Photo shop is the way to go definately. Its better than anything else ive used and there some great tutorials out there for beginners and more advanced users. There are ways of getting photoshop :ahmed: il give you a pm.

Photoshop is definitely the way to go, albeit it can seem a little intimidating at first, once you get used to it, it's brilliant. Your sigs are pretty good though considering the program you use, and since you have Photoshop you can add a 1 or 2px white border at the top and bottom. The blending is quite good though!

Good work, keep it up! ^_^

They are quite good, as Lew and Ryan said, PS is the best you can work with, there are many great tutorials too. :gasp: Yours are pretty good but you need more on them, I honestly prefer the third one, I don't know what is it but I think it goes well together. >_>

I believe the third one is the doors that open during the opening of FFX's blitzball sequence with Lenne and Shuyin overlayed on it? >_>

For sure, considering the programme you've been using, these ain't bad at all. Now you have access to photoshop, you'll be able to experiment a lot more with lighting and mapping. I love grad mapping =3 so if you ever want any pointers on grad mapping, I can try and offer some advice. :awesome:

Also, as Ryan said. Experiment with borders. Simple but effective ways of finishing a piece. =)

Actually it's Vegnagun's head from a concept art ^^;; I picked a bad spot to use. But whatever~
Shall practice borders, righto :awesome:
Thanks everyone~ and I will ask you about grad mapping. I have no idea what that is :gasp:

IDK, blending and effects practice 8D

1st one is really good, I like it.
2nd one: The lighting is well done, I'm not sure about !B placement.
3rd one: I'm not sure about this one tbh I'm not sure about the text and it needs more work
4th one: This one is good but I'm not sure about the text and the text placement.
5ht one is really good :gasp: You did well in that.

The signature: I think you need more work on this one, Don't work with 2 images :gasp: especially if you're new in this :gasp: it won't turn out very good :gasp:

I like that one, and I think you've done a good job working with two images since either one of those images would have been too far to a certain side, so using two images was a really good idea. Effects and colours are great! 8D

That's amazing, I love everything about that avatar from the font to the colour to the lighting. It's avatar perfection!

Keep up the great work Brit! :gasp:

I must say, I think we've found a GFX beginner with a talent for text so early on. :monster:

The first icon is charming. Strange adjective to be using, but I think that best describes how I feel about it. The angle, the colors...great job. ^_^ But also, maybe try adding text somewhere in there? I think it'd make a huge difference.

Second icon looks peachy perfect--'nuff said. <3

I like the font and the characters you put in the third icon. You have good taste in text. :)

As for the sig, I think it's pretty decent. Nice colors and I like how it's sort of glowing. Although, like Kei, my advice for this is as much as possible, only one image should stand out.

Go, you. :monster:

Thanks everyone, I'll keep your advice in mind :awesome:

1. I put Mandi on it because it was a PW render and I needed text. First render I've properly worked with.
2. I love where I put the text in this one :wacky:

Those two before I toddle off to bed :wacky: will edit with more if I can't sleep :gonk:

EDIT;; anything from here on is made in Photoplus, including the above.

When posting, PLEASE OH PLEASE comment on those previous two as well :ness: I really want to know what people think.

i ask of you.

Two of these, I wasn't sure about the lighting.. the original pic was very rich looking, so I felt bad about making it kind of light and green-ish.

cry for her.

I'm letting Micci down :ness: I'm not that good at text. I've found I like making icons out of photography, soo. I really wanted to apply Stroke to this, around the words very thinly, but it didn't work out -_-

Friggin' hell, I just LOVE those. Proper good quality love. Quite like the cry for her one teh moast.

Your avatars are reallly impressive i must say, im jealous xD
I can tell by looking that u have a great sense of placing text and u know where to put the stocks, really good work. My favourite is without a doubt the 'cry for her' icon. You can really feel the emotion in that avatar, black and white was definately the best colour theme to go for aswell.

Very nice work on this one. You've blended in both images very well!

Though I think you should blend the left image of Yuna more, so that the one on the right is the main focal point.

Otherwise they steal the attention away from each other and makes it hard to know where to look. XD

Great job on this one!

Oooh very nice!

I think this is my favourite from you!

Lovely colours and they actually remind me of a peach. XD

Awesome text placement and the little white box around it looks great!

Very simple and sweet avatar!

I like the colours in this one!

Very very pretty and the text is situated well.

Nice font too!

Very nice once again, although I feel it is a little too dark.

A bit more light I think would make it look even better. =)

The text is situated very well too. However, I think a different font should of been used.

I like the darker version on the right more!

It looks hot! XD

The green tinge looks awesome and she actually reminds me of a mermaid. >_<

I think that the text should have been highlighted a bit more though. Maybe go into options and see if there is a 'outside glow' option?

Help make it stand out more. =)

Very nice work on this.

The black and white colour theme I feel is appropriate for this image.

It feels very emotional and the line of text you have helps convey that feeling.

Awesome work! Keep it up!

Those two avatars are :awesome: I like the colors in it gives it a really good look, I'm not sure about the text in the second one, it looks like it floating, you might need to work on that. :gasp: Other than that it's really great. Great job B.^^

Wow those are very impressive. You've got an eye for great focal placement , that's for sure.

c7yhf.png

This one is also pretty good. It has a very soft feeling to it and I just love that scene from the game. I do recommend sticking to one focal image, especially if you're just beginning. Even now I'm still quite afraid to tackle a two-image signature because it's always not the best outcome no matter how hard you try, and it just tends to be frustrating. For this tag, I think maybe it would have been better if you reduced the opacity just a tad bit on the left side if you really wanted two images. But anyway, so far so good and it's good to see that your sigs are coming along in a very neat manner at least. Too much effects can sometimes look unappealing, but hey, sometimes there's just those days that you have to try something different, eh? ;)

Look forward to seeing more of your work!
