Inspired by the dancing thread. Anyone enjoy belting out a good tune now and again? I don't get to many karaoke nights, but when they come along i love them. Haha and i cant sing at all btw i thought i could for years till my mate showed me a video of myself singing bat out of hell by meatloaf. (which turned up on you tube:blush:) watching the video was humiliating but it was all good at the time.

So what songs have you sung? or do you go pale at the thought of karaoke?
 
Gawd, gimme a drink or two and I'll be up there thinking I'm Robbie Williams or something. Though I have actually gathered the courage to get up and Karaoke whilst sober a few times, but that is only if I can trust everyone not to film it.

As for songs: What haven't I sung? Lol, I've been up there singing Valerie (Amy Winehouse), Time Warp, Don't stop me now, A whole new world, pretty much every song from Grease, and that is all I can think of at the moment. More may come later. :monster:

As for whether or not I can sing well, the answer is: Not very well.
 
Oh I'm really into karaoke. In fact, a bunch of my family, including my dad has one of those Magic Sing-Along karaoke where it gives you a score after you sing. It's pretty fun and everytime I go to family parties, we'll all sing all day long. I actually want one for Christmas, but they cost a few hundred bucks.

And the songs I've sung varies. I'm typically into those slow songs, especially from Bette Midler, Air Supply, Chicago, Madonna, etc. Of course, I'll also sing a few songs that are Tagalog as well. My favorite songs to sing are Zombie by Cranberries, La Isla Bonita by Madonna, Mamma Mia by Abba, and a bunch of others. So yeah, I'm definitely into singing. ^^

Thats pretty cool ur family like it, i could never ever in a million years pay my mum enough money to pick up the microphone. I wanna see her be a rock star for once lol.

And patsy, robbie williams huh? yea i can imagine some drunken sing-a-longs to angels lol not that ive ever sung it *cough*cough:P
 
I really don't do karaoke but I can sing ok with the occasional off key times caused by having people around me being off key all the time.
 
The songs i sing is like choir songs like Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer. I hate that song but they make us sing it. I like karaoke we sing that magic sing along and my sister helps me sing some times. I don't think i am good at singing but i am trying.
 
Ugh...kareoke....I avoid it like the plague until I'm drunk and I think I can sing >_<

My last shameful rendition was Like a Virgin......honestly, if I ever walk in a pub and it's kareoke night, Il cringe in advance xD
 
Karaoke is cool. I can't sing but it's good nonetheless. :wacky:
I have those moments when you're in college and you break into a song...somewhat like HSM. XD

I told my sister she had to but HSM3 karaoke for the PS3 to save me the embarrassment. :D

I've never tried karaoke. Can't say I've ever wanted to or ever been drunk enough to... if I ever did I'm sure it would be at a girl's request and in the hopes I'd get laid. Like the time I went country line dancing... God that's a bad fucking memory...
 
I've never had the chance to do karaoke sadly. But I really want to do it. I want it to be in front of my whole family too, so that when I start singing with my amazing voice, they'll be shocked. When I sing in and even out the shower, I be Rockin songs man. I be straight up gangsta Trippin. Anyway, it'll come eventually. The day I shock the world is coming faster and faster.
 
I don't always sing karaoke, but when I do I choose the most ridiculous song I can find and embarrass my friends to the best of my ability
 
i'm a very good singer. i sing all the time.

im that guy who does karaoke and makes people think "why does he not have a record deal?".

there's this pretty cool chinese karaoke bar in manchester called the orchid lounge. it's really small but they have a massive library of songs for karaoke. they have pretty much an entire discography for the beatles, the rolling stones, oasis and elvis. i've ended up there a few times with mates from work, and i usually get up and do something and make a fool of myself. i think last time i did disco 2000 by pulp
 
I have sing diferent types of songs on a Karaoke a few times now. Everytime I hang out with my friends we sing most of the time. I really enjoy singing with my friends while they watch me sing.
 
I mean, it's a culture here in my country. I do it like once aevery week with friends. It's one of the options to hangout other than regular bar/lounge, watch movies, get something to eat, browse the mall, etc etc. I love karaoke.

What to sing? basically anything and everything. My go to sing would be anything top 40 just to be considerate to the listeners (i can't really sing Judas Priest or Lynyrd Skynyrd all the time. Besides it's fun to sing Carly Rae Jepsen once in a while ) or some 90 rock when i feel like bragging >.<

This karaoke spot surprised me cause it had Heart of Sword by TM Revolution (an OST from Rurouni Kenshin)
 
My friends n I would hire a Karaoke booth for a few hours in the city after hitting the nightclubs to unwind then we'd head home from there. We'd always decide on songs from the 90s n early 2000s. We'd emulate their dance moves as well hah, so much fun. I love to sing n belt out a few Whitney Houston or Mariah Carey style tunes but all my friends love it when I rap. These two usually get me the most cheers lol.
