I never really understood the whole Auron/Rikku thing. It's just so...random, whhhhhy would those two be paired. It's STUPID. I never actually minded the Vincent/Yuffie one though, although tbf, they are all abit ridiculous - but I can see the daft reasoning behind some of them - Red/Cait, Cloud/Sephy, Squall/Quistis etc

But Auron and RIKKU? No...just...NO. Auron well wouldn't go for Rikku. Ugh

I saw a few pictures of YunaxRikku on deviant art the other day. Seriously, did anyone forget that they are COUSINS? Not a fan of incest.

Rikku and Auron is just plain disgusting, for a starters Auron has the obvious handicap of being dead not to mention I dont actually think Auron would even want to go to bed with someone THAT young ><
 
Ach! They're all horrible pairings that I really don't know which one is the worst. Actually a few are hilarious to me in their own ways. But the Auron and Rikku one is certainly a pairing I will never like to see.

Rikku is like, 15 years old? Auron looks old enough to be her father. If this ever happened - and I quote from the poll, Auron would be a "child molester". But seeing as though I love Auron as a character, I do not want to imagine that at all. It's degrading to Auron. He and Rikku are at the opposite ends of the character spectrum. Rikku I could care less. FFX-2 butchered what was left of her. At least she was tolerable in FFX. >_>

I have also seen other odd pairings. Some of which include FFXIII characters. FangxVanille and LightningxHope. The latter one is the really horrible one for me.

All of them? Seriously, shipping pisses me off. Especially with Final Fantasy. The majority of them already have love plotlines built into them. WHY do people feel the need to add any more? Or, worse, to cite them as if there was actual evidence for them in the game? If they were meant to be in the game, then they would be plainly stated in the game.

...although on a minor note, the Sephiroth/Aerith comment in that poll made me laugh. I'm never going to be able to get that image out of my head now. Aerith's scene has lost all its seriousness to me with that single sentence. XD
 
I voted Sephiroth/Aeris, because that is just the most nonsensical thing to me. Their only interaction is Sephiroth ramming a sword through her chest, and NO that is not a metaphor for anything. Cloud/Sephiroth is pretty unreasonable also, but there's the whole foe yay thing, and Cloud did hero worship him.

Rikku/Auron and Yuffie/Vincent I actually find kind of adorable IF it's a one-sided crush on the girls' part.
 
I went for Red XIII and Cait Sith, because it just wouldn't be right. Especially with the thought of it in my head is kind of disgusting :D

Yeah, it is kind of silly--I have trouble getting my head around a lot of them, especially when it's between characters who don't even have any interaction o_O I guess it's just a fun thing for people to do though, experimenting with "what ifs" and all. And really, I suppose it's not unreasonable that certain characters wouldn't have had mild crushes on other characters that weren't mentioned in the games b/c they weren't relevant to the story--I know if I were in Rikku's place I'd probably be checking out Auron a little, etc.--if you're on a long journey you may as well have something to look at ;)) But trying to determine chemistry between them as mutual couples is a little different. On that note, the Sephiroth/Aeris one is the weirdest of these to me--I mean,

. I don't think that usually indicates interest in someone :hmmm:

It is fun to explore what if possibilities in the original canon, but there are pairings that just scream wrong in my mind. Auron/Rikku and Vin/Yuffie are some of those. As for the rest of the pairings listed up there, I don't mind them. A couple of great fanfiction even convinced me that Cloud/Sephy can be really interesting, if done right.
 
The worst that I've probably ever come across are:

Yuna/Rikku - Lesbian Incest
Yuna/Brother - Incest
Yuna/Kimahri - Beastialty

I can deal with the yaoi and yuri thing fine (though I'm not into it) but anything incest or to do with beasts and humans is just not for me. v_v
 
Auron and Rikku!!! OMFG, nasty! Im an Auron fangirl, but Id place him more with Lulu then Rikku. No way, just not right lol.

The worst Ive seen and just remembered is Laguna and Squall!!! Me and my ex shrieked when we seen a pic of this, it wasnt pleasant lol XD
 
SephirothxAerith is like GrimmjowxRukia. I tried to kill you (or succeeded in killing you in S/A's case) but we look good together so why not.
 
I read Rikku/Auron and didn't even read the rest. What couple could possibly be more stupid? Auron being a very mature man would not go with an annoying teenager.

I was tempted to go with Sephiroth and Cloud, but Sephiroth and Aerith makes the least amount of sense to me so I went with that

I'm hoping that most of the people who write those ships completely forgot Yuna is Rikku and Brother's cousin. But I highly doubt that they forgot. They just like incest X(

Brother seems to have forgotten too.
 
Having just played FFXII, any pairing witH Ashe seems kinda unfounded.

Vaan and her maybe but even that's a stretch.
 
Other than Than the VincexYuffie ship, Squall and Quistis, and CloudxSquall the ships listed here practically everything here is bad because they violate basic ethics.

Edit: I forgot to add CidxVincent as not being bad
