Why do men read on the toilet?

I get my best ideas when I do. Whenever I had a maths problem I would just work it out with a pencil.

It's also a bit of a relaxing place. :hmmm: Especially when you have a nicely finished bathroom.
 
I have no idea, I'm normally in and out pretty quick even when Im having a poo, and if Im constipated, I'm too busy being annoyed/giving myself piles trying to get the fucker out. It's probably the only time a man can multi task successfully.....
 
i dont read when im having a shite but i do think about things and i get ideas.

not ideas of masturbation cause the smell of shit isnt exactly a turn on.

though usually the ideas turn out to be...shit.:sad3:

In general I've found that guys spend waaaay longer in the loo than ladies.
Maybe that's it. Lads have the time to do it... ladies don't :8F:

Well, taking a load off doesn't exactly take a minute like taking a leak. It gets boring pretty quickly to stare at the wall, so best to keep yourself enlightened and read something. This is how I see it at least. :hmmm:

I read sometimes, otherwise I'd just sit there looking at the wall for however long. I don't get any ideas though. I just read.
 
I don't read on the toilet. I do find that I play my PSP or my DS when I'm in there though. It's how I rank up most of my hours. Hell, that's how I beat 358/2 Days. Then only time I really played was in the bathroom and I got over 30 hours in a week. Figure that out.
 
Two words: Time Effeciency.

I'm over here on the toilet trying to squeeze out some taco shits because I ate some spicy Mexican food. However, I also have a nice book to read. Why just waste time just dropping a doo doo in the toilet when I can drop a turd in the toilet and read a book? Shit saves time. (c wut i did thar?)

It's effective, and it gives me something to do. If I had a laptop, I would probably use it on the toilet as well. :mokken:
 
I usually put on headphones and browse the web on my phone. Not into books or news papers. But my stepdad always has some reading material with him.

If I am going to be just sitting there I may as well do something to pass the time right? Me personally, I rarely read while on the toilet. If anything I may play my DS/PSP or just think about various things going on in my life.

My bf takes stuff into the can with him.. DS... PSP.. books.. laptop... the man knows no bounds.

I seem to be one of the only people here who doesn't find it appealing to take loads of stuff into the toilet. It doesn't take long, so I don't see the point in spending half a day in the toilet reading or playing games when it would be much more hygienic and comfortable to do those things on a chair, or anywhere else.
 
iPod is the way forward, fuck reading.

Never even considered taking something to read with me actually, upon thinking about it.
 
For me, the toilet is the toilet. No reading, no ipods, no phones. Just concentrate on the pooping. Besides a lot of times I wouldn't want things like that near the toilet of all places. :monster:

I seem to be one of the only people here who doesn't find it appealing to take loads of stuff into the toilet. It doesn't take long, so I don't see the point in spending half a day in the toilet reading or playing games when it would be much more hygienic and comfortable to do those things on a chair, or anywhere else.

Toilets are very hygenic, unless you are in the habit of shitting everywhere.
I usually take in whatever I need to read for uni, otherwise it's a waste of 5 or so minutes, perhaps 10 if I've had curry. And you wash your hands afterwards anyway so it is totally clean.
