Something, nothing?

Mine was like, done midweek last week because I'm a thicko and was hungover when I booked my train home which happened to be the 13th <_<

We went for summat to eat at TGI's, I really wanted a desert because it looked ace, but I was stuffed and feeling just a little bit sick :wacky: Followed by Avatar in 3D which was also enjoyable :monster: It was lovely. Next time, I will leave room for a desert. He's taking me again whether he likes it or not :mokken: It was a lovely evening (L)

Got a lovely card and a whopping big box of chocolates which we sat and ate the whole lot on Friday like a pair of ganits....

Good times

So how bowt you lot?

If I say lovely one more time, i think I may just make myself vomit >_<

Went out on Saturday to celebrate the end of an epic week, got home at about 5am and got up for work at 8.30 then spent the rest of the day being ridiculously tired.
It ended up being a pretty normal Sunday really.

(copy and pasted from another section)

Yesterday I hosted another cookout which this is where the crazy couple comes into play. I had approximately 8 or so folks over. Mitch came over early for a bit of system linked Crackdown (xbox 360) and then we started with the food. Here's the appetizers:

Pigs in a blanket + home made dipping sauce
Chips and Rotel cheese sauce
Southwestern style Wantons

Entree: Burgers
home made mac n cheese

Desert: Lemon cake
Double chocolate moist cookie balls

Then more folks started arriving. Burgers on the grill, drinks in hand aside from myself, since I was still sick. Night went brilliant, drinking games had, and so on.. but of course one couple had to start a fight amongst one another because of a notorious drinking game we call "Circle of Death". I was even embarassed for them, let's just say Will left early and shortly after Liz followed.

Now it's fine if you fight amongst yourself, but when you sit there and yell while others are enjoying themselves.. meh gtfo of my house please.. k thanks. ..

Made dirty, sickeningly romantic and just plain awful "Roses are Red, Violets are Blue" poems with a couple of friends online. Otherwise, it was a completely normal day. Thankfully. I hate Valentine's Day.

Nothing extravagant, really. We kept it simple this year. I went out with my husband and daughter for a late lunch / early dinner at Don Jose's. I love that place. Mexican food are so yummy. Then we went to Target to buy our daughter a $5 movie. It has 200 episodes of some of the classic cartoons we watched as a kid.

But yeah, this year we wanted to include our daughter in our little 'date' because she was really excited for Valentine's Day. Been talking about it for a whole week. That and we just genuinely would like for her to enjoy it with us. =] And to see your daughter writing nonstop all week and wrapping things up (some random stuff included) for her parents as a V-day gift just melts my heart.

Nothing at all. We're actually part of the anti-Valentine's Day crowd. In college we had a couple "I Hate Valentine's Day" parties on the 14th - we'd cover the walls with black hearts and dead flowers and egg all the cars at the frat house next door which would be having a formal.

I didn't really do anything. I did have some ideas but that went to hell. I kinda just spent it with the family, drank some Guinness, played some games, you know... the usual stuff.

Dinner and a movie, pretty much like any other date. It was nice though--had some delicious sweet & sour tofu stir-fry, and then completely blew my diet on Reese's Pieces watching Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. We weren't expecting much but it was actually really good, very original, funny, and lots of great special effects. The romance part was kind of cheesy and predictable, but it wasn't overbearing throughout the story so it really didn't interfere too much with the quality. Anyway, it's no Lord of the Rings, but I'd definitely recommend it to fantasy fans if you're looking for something to do.

Well I didnt do much. Was pretty bored for half the day. Then got a call from my GF about Love and I told her all the things we could have done together but it nver ends up happening. Yeah after an hour of phone chat or sex whatever xD I stayed on msn for the remaining of the day and went on playstation Home with My best friend :ryan: we had fun and some random people came up to us and I said I would kill them. I guess thats part of V dAY Too. I was supposed to play some Halo but it broke xD. No valentines day massacre for me this year -__-

We actually sorta celebrated a week in advance to avoid the crazy rush of people on Valentines Day.

We went out to my favourite restaurant and then to a movie afterwards.

We hadn't been out in ages to do something like that. I loved getting all dressed up to go out on a nice little date with my boyfriend. Something we haven't really done too often since before we moved in together. So it's nice when it does happen. >.<

I shouted, seeing as I don't understand why the girl always has to get everything bought for her. It's the guys day too! I earn more money then him anyway so I thought it fit to shout him out to dinner. XD

He said he's going to shout me in a couple of weeks time to his favourite restaurant and then to see Alice and Wonderland anyway. >.<

But for actual Valentines Day I forgot for a moment that it was because we spent the day at home and didn't really see any festivities. I remembered once I logged online though and saw all the MSN pop ups and such. XD But yeah, I spent the 14th of Feb dreading going to work the next day due to my holidays being over. >.<

Hm.

For the 17th time, I did absolutely nothing for Valentine's Day. Then again, I have no girlfriends, and furthermore, this day is not actually very widely celebrated here. Usually, we only celebrate it with our boyfriends/girlfriends, though I suppose there are some that actually confess their love to whoever they had a crush on.

Still, that's them. I'm me... And I do not have anyone I like, yet... Nor do I have anyone I love (Other than my family)... So, another boring Valentine's Day. Then again, it happened to fall on the Lunar New Year as well, so I supposed I spent most of it visiting...

Though I suppose that doesn't count as 'doing something for Valentine's Day'..

Nothing, i loathe the day. I didn't do anything then and i'm not going to do anything next year, it's not a holiday in my opinion anyway. It feels forced like you're supposed to get material things to make you're significant other happy. There's nothing wrong with it, but if thats all that is going to make the relationship work then forget it.

There's only one holiday that counts as a special day and thats christmas. But even then i don't celebrate it for numerous reasons. But that day is better than V-day anyway by far.

It wasn't planned or anything, but I asked a girl out on Valentines Day, and i've been with her for just over 2 months now. It was kind of a coincidence that it just so happened to be Valentines Day. :goout:

:hmmm: That was a while ago, let me think about it......

Oh yes, I remember, I did absolutely nothing, like I have for the last couple years. I didn't have a gf, since she dumped me for a really stupid reason, so I didn't have anything really to do on the day.
