Not the played characters. He means the Civilians I do believe.

Why would he put so much effort into thinking up titles for the played characters only to kill them off in the first two arcs? :wacky:
 
The heroes are civilians realizing they have some secret powers. >.> Doesn't make them not citizens of New York City. <.<

Edit: Not talking about just for the first two Arcs, I speak of the RP as a whole, the entire fun house deal here. xP
 
No, they are vital characters, as we have discussed before, Vitals are almost never killed off...
 
I think that since the heroes are controlled by the people here, and they have powers, then they are no longer an average citizen. The people that are dying are people that no-one is controlling and they are just caught up in it all.
 
Bolt, I really don't see what the issue is here.

Think of it as an RPG; FF7 as an example. When the platform collapsed in Midgar and killed virtually everybody in that particular slum, the random NPCs suffered the brunt of the damage. A great number of them died. Not to be overly harsh, but they're means to an end. It showed the callousness of the ShinRa Corp. But all the main characters were only affected second-hand. Because they're the main characters. They are not simply chattel NPCs.

Don't get too wrapped up in the plot devices. Part of RPing is adapting to situations that A) you didn't anticipate, and B) you don't particularly like. Let the story play out how it plays out, and add your own twists through your character. Remember, it's a collaborative project, so there are a lot of chefs in this kitchen. And Diar gets the final say, as the RP Leader. As long as he's fine with it, we should just go with the flow.

But the main characters weren't personally responsible for their deaths... Anyways, yeah, time to drop the subject... But my character was in the city when this blast occurred, how would he survive it, notice the incoming attack just before it hit, then vanished from the city for a moment until the blast's initial devastation had it's effect...?

"OOC: For those still in the city, you have a window of opportunity to escape the death ball, as long as you are underground or otherwise off the surface of slightly below it you will be relatively unharmed."

You're a god, are you not? Surely you could come up with a way to get yourself underground and/or out of harm's way.
 
I thought the whole city was already 'crushed'... Well then, now I really don't know what to do, running away won't help anybody...but if it is the only choice at the moment. :/
 
All right, who all is in the tunnel that Tipsy and could possibly interact with? I'm still a little bit fuzzy on who is what and where and why. ......And when.... >.> .....
 
Ok so far as I'm aware characters in the tunnel are as follows...

Samuel (Diar)
Koodori (Hope)
Aria (Me)
Crystal (Hope)
Kat (Kevin)
Kiko (Cardiac Kid)

That's all I'm aware of there being in the tunnel atm.... I might have missed someone though. :|
 
I think it is just Crimson Wolf (me) and Sarvophis (Argor. Serpent...), pretty sure there isn't anyone else there, at least not yet.

Edit: Ah, you're talking about the tunnels...don't know what the heck made me think you were talking about the sewers, who wants to talk about sewers... :wacky:

That is where i think people are. I do think there is one or two ppl i left out.
 
Im at the tunnels with Luna, Lloyed is with Neried, and Arukab managed to protect himself from big ball of death... I am with Taylana and Anastasia...

EDIT: And Vikki keeps ignoring Luna -__-

Also note, only Luna and Anastasia are anywhere near here. AND SHE ANSWERED LUNA'S QUESTION. Learn to read What is said in Taylana's part.

oy, my bad...can I blame this one on the morning and irritating sister? yeah I'm sory them :facepalm:
 
...no God be killed in my control, if so, I myself will lose control, because that shouldn't happen, it's not supposed to, I would be beside myself if it did. xD

But seriously, it would shake me up if it actually happened...some RPers have several battle themes, I should be able to have a couple of regular ol' battle themes, I imagine. :P
