The Embodiments Sign-Up and Discussion

M'kay, first thing that I should mention is that my character has a split personality, and after he finds his crystal, his split personality takes over his body and uses the power of the crystal. So keep in mind that it's two dudes, one regular human, and one split personality with the power of the fire crystal that takes over his body and alters its appearance to have a physical manifestation. (If you don't like it, or don't want it, I can change it.)

Real Name: Jack Wersol
Name upon finding crystal: Tsukianei Blackrune
Alignment: Neutral Good
Alignment upon finding crystal: Chaotic Neutral
Age: 19
Weight: 160pounds
Height: 6feet 0inches

Appearance as Jack:

Ever since elementary school, Jack has done everything in his power to look different, act different, and be different. He wears big and baggy black pants held up by a black belt. He also wears a black short sleeve shirt under a black dress shirt. He wears a necklace that resembles the cross from the anime FMA. He wears black not because he's Goth, but because he likes the color. In fact, upon finding the crystal, he don's a black robe the resembles a Jedi's robe from Star Wars. His eyes are blue, and he gets a lot of complements for people because of them. Jack hates facial hair, so he's clean shaven all the time. Quite skinny, he's always getting picked on by people bigger than him. His hair is always a mess, brown and quite long, it seems as if he has eternal bedhead.

Appearance after crystal (as Tsukianei): Most notable is his hair. Although the length doesn't change, the color does. It becomes white, no attempts to change the color of his hair back work. The eyes that have become a symbol of envy among others, have now become a symbol of fear as they've turned completely red, with a slit like a cat, or a dragon, in the middle. As stated, he dons his black Star Wars robe, and leaves the rest of his attire completely the same. Although still somewhat skinny, he can easily notice the increase in his strength being not normal at all.

Personality as Jack: Jack is a happy person. He plays video games, reads books, and tries to make people laugh. He's very notable for his bad puns, and values his friends through and through. He is weak willed though, and be conned into doing just about anything. Always pushing himself the greater mile for his friends, he'll do just about anything to make sure they know that he is a stand up guy and he'll always be there if they need him.

Jack is very nervous, he can't talk to a girl to save his life and put up against any kind of pressure, he folds like an arm chair. One thing about Jack is his obsession with how the mind works. Often he'll do something completely outrageous and unnecessary just to see what one's reaction would be.

Jack is the physical manifestation of everything that Tsukianei seems to hate, while Tsukianei is the physical manifestation of everything that Jack seems to fear.

Personallity as Tsukianei: Tsukianei is not an emotional person. One of the most notable features about him is the fact that his personality is bland. Things like love, are just as useless as a 4 cylinder engine in a tank. Although he never shows much emotion, he thinks and ponders on things a lot. Things like anger come easy, but he never lets it get the best of him. Revenge on the other hand is something that he strives for.

Before the crystal, he would never dream of hurting people to get what he wanted. However, upon finding the crystal, he found it much easier to hurt someone just to get a coke when he left his wallet at home. However, he still wouldn't hurt anyone if he couldn't find a reason for it, but if a reason were found, he wouldn't mind burning down a building or a forest just to kill the person hiding in it. He would simply think of the extra people killed necessary sacrifices.

It's nigh impossible to tell what Tsukianei is thinking. He never gives off body language, and he sits absurdly still when thinking. One of the most reliable things about Tsukianei is just how unreliable he is. He will turn his back on his friends if it serves his cause better, of even if he just finds it fun. One thing most people learned about Jack, and will immediately be able to tell of Tsukianei is how fun he finds mind games.

As most people are able to figure out, Jack is a huge nerd. It's blatantly obvious that Tsukianei is also a nerd and is proud of it. Quoting Star Trek, Star Wars, Stargate, and even going as far as to wearing a Jedi robe in his attire. Most people could consider this a childish act. Tsukianei purely doesn't give a damn.

An advent reader of books, both Jack and Tsukianei are well versed in grammar and vocabulary, and both use big words, quote passages from books, and read as often as they can.

What people do not know, and what Tsukianei plans to keep secret, is the fact that Jack and Tsukianei speak to each other often.

Speed as Jack: Without any powers to speak of, Jack can only run 7 miles per hour at the most.

Speed as Tsukianei: With the powers and abilities of the Fire Crystal he can run no faster than 19 miles per hour, with an average running speed of 14 miles per hour. With his advantage in strength, he can run up to 1 minute 30 seconds without tiring. In average running speed, his advantage in strength allows him to run up to 20 minutes without tiring.

Vitality as Jack: Jack couldn't take a punch if his own life depended on it. Multiple fights in high school have proved it. A minor spell would probably break him in half.

Vitality as Tsukianei: Tsukianei can take more than just a punch. He can take about anything someone throws at him. Physical hand to hand combat would be next to useless against him. Magic is a different story. He could take a beating, but after either a very strong spell, of a huge volley of multiple ones, Tsukianei would be down for the count. Which is why he's built his defensive spells up so well.

Strength as Jack: Jack, being completely average as he is. Can't do much of anything. If he's lucky he can kick down a wooden flimsy door with a running start. He could possibly do one rep of 100 pounds before quivering like a feeble animal.

Strength as Tsukianei: With the abilities and the increase of strength that the Fire Crystal grants him, he can punch through a solid wall with no problems. Breaking steel, knocking down trees, if it's standing, odds are Tsukianei can knock it down. He could do about 30 reps of 250 pounds before needing to stop for a short breather.

Reflexes as Jack: Reflexes are about the only think that Jack has going on for himself. Years of video games have tuned his reflexes up to the point where he can react on a whim.

Reflexes as Tsukianei: Tsukianei's reflexes are greater than Jack's due to the power of the Crystal. Able to react upon hearing the sound of a spell or an arrow almost immediately, it's hard to use long range tactics against him.

Two Shirasaya Katanas.

NOTE: Yes, that's my bed, and that is my actual Spider Shirasaya Katana. :yay:

Abilities as Jack: None, due to Tsukianei having full power of the crystal.

Abilities as Tsukianei:
  1. Ability to control fire.
  2. Adjusting the oxygen densities in the surrounding atmosphere to create explosions at will.
  3. Breathing Fire
  4. Using his Shirasaya Katanas, once he utters the word “shatter” they break into hundreds of tiny pieces. “Embed” directs them to his desired target and embeds them into the vitals of his target. Once embedded into the skin of his victim he utters the word “shred” which causes the pieces of his Shirasaya to leave the victim's body... In different places than they entered. “Combine” will bring them all together again.
  5. Short range teleportation. (500 feet at the most)
Jack's Backstory: Jack has been living “alone” for most of his life. At the age of seven his mother died, and at the age of 11, his Father has been off working odd jobs and sending Jack the money. Shopping for himself, cooking for himself, yet relying on his friends for emotional support. He grew up watching his Father's old episodes of Star Trek and consistently watching Star Wars.

Always willing to lend a hand, Jack has gotten in his fair share of trouble while helping out his friends. Jack spends most of his time reading, writing, playing video games, and pirating music. Even through all this, he's extremely timid, and doesn't know what to do when put up against the wall in pressure.

Day dreaming was always apart of Jack's lifestyle. He would wish to be stronger, wish to be a better person, and wish for things to change. Little did he know, that he would get just that.

Tsukianei's Backstory: Tsukianei is the Anti-thesis to what Jack is. Whatever Jack would do, Tsukianei would do the complete opposite. Tsukianei is the unintentional alternate persona/split personality that Jack has picked up from reading way too many books, comic books, watching movies, and playing video games. Think every villain you've ever heard of, and multiply it by two, and you get Tsukianei.

The power of the crystal immediately rendered Jack unconscious, allowing Tsukianei to pick up the pieces and take complete control of Jack's body, and using it as his medium to go about the world. Tsukianei's main goal is to find a way out of Jack's body, and get into someone else. (A coma patient perhaps?)

However, Tsukianei fears that if this happens, he will lose half of the power of the Crystal, something Tsukianei doesn't want. He will be forced to either cooperate with Jack, or kill him and take the power back. His goal afterwards is to simply take over everything that he likes. Why take over the world when you can have everything you want in the palm of your hand, and crush what you don't like?

Thanks, I worked hard on it. I'm really glad that you like it. Surprisingly, I'm a newb at this kind of stuff. I just like to write. :yay:

You are approved Ringo. ^_^ Soon as me and the others get our bios up, we'll get the RP thread going.

hm...what should i put as history? Its not that important seeing that she isnt a major character right?

She could become a major character later on. You never know. I've got a few things for later in this story that may make it so.

Just include whether or not she was born in Semblance, and how she became a policewoman. That'll do.

Name: Adam Brosling

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Occupation: Shop Worker/Student

Alignment: Pre Crystal: True Neutral
Post Crystal: Chaotic Good

Appearance: Short at five foot seven inches, and quite slender in appearance, giving an appearance on fragility to his form. However, there is a deceptive underlying wiry strength underneath the thin frame. He has quite short, tousled black hair, subtly laced with a dark red tint. His eyes are round and the dark blue of a stormy sea, in contrast to his element.

Adam usually prefers to blend into the background with casual attire: A long sleeved, plain white T-shirt with a black or brown jacket left open over it. He will almost always wear jeans and trainers to keep up an unremarkable image He has no blemishes or scars on his face, and is quite handsome, but usually keeps his face cold and emotionless, although a smile from him is extremely charming and dazzling.

Finally, a row of raw red scars runs up Adam's wrist and arm. They are ugly and quite repulsive, not that Adam cares. He almost always wears long sleeved shirts and t-shirts so no one will see these scars and advise that he get mental help.

Personality: Pre-Crystal: Cold, unresponsive and unrevealing, Adam almost never speaks. He almost never does anything. He maintains an above average grade score and a job, but Adam has no life or passion in him. He has no opinions or beliefs, and usually responds to questions with what is needed, and no more, and this is his method in life.

Underneath the cold exterior however, is a person brimming with passion and potential, both chaotic and controlled. He has intelligence and the ability to go far in life, with an interest in teaching and history, and a sensitive, empathic and sympathetic personality, but this side almost never surfaces.

Just beneath the surface is a dangerous rage and boiling resentment that is frightening and unnerving to look at. This is another aspect of Adam that almost never rises. However, it is blatantly obvious when this side of him does arise. His eyes narrow and his lips purse. When he is in this state, he appears as calm and controlled as always. However, this state of total apathy is when Adam is at his most dangerous.

Post Crystal: Impossible to gauge, on the surface, Adam has barely changed at all. He remains a cold, taciturn boy who cannot open up to anyone, but something within him has changed. There is dissatisfaction with his place in life. He wants to change the world. He is dissatisfied with the way people think and act. He wants to change everything.

A little of the instability remains. He is still prone to that icy anger he was subject to before the Crystal, but now he is even more dangerous because of his increase in power and his band of followers. He wishes to use this rage productively now.

Weapons:

Element: Earth

Magic: In order of learning:

The ability to form earth spikes from the ground and propel them at the enemy.
The ability to heal himself
The ability to form a wall or dome of earth for protection
The ability to have plants do his will
The ability to seal his enemies in earth
The ability to open cracks in the earth
The ability to cause earthquakes.

History: Adam was born to quite a well off family in the town of Semblance. His father, Bruce was a woodwork teacher and a former private in the army. His mother, Selena was a nurse in the small local hospital. He also had a single older brother named Michael, who left Semblance to go to Harvard University in an entirely different state, on a sport scholarship.

When Adam was ten, his mother fell ill with acute cervical cancer, and the tumour was inoperable. Adam, who was close to Selena, was devastated: he was close to his mother and not his father. Michael, while obviously affected, was the apple of his father's eye, the ideal man and eldest son, so he didn't feel quite the fear Adam did.

However, there was nothing that could be done. Selena died nine months later, and the last month she was in and out of hospitals for pain medication. Adam felt disillusioned; in some sort of dream, or more accurately a nightmare. Bruce moved the family away to a nearby town to start anew.

After his mother died, Adam lapsed into a depression and his grades dropped rapidly and he began to fall in with a bad crowd at 14. His father saw that the move hadn't been the right idea and moved him back to Semblance. He was old news however, and didn't really settle back in.

One day his father told him to man up. Adam was shocked. He had gone so long by this point without a female influence in his life that he assumed to man up was to close up your emotions. So he did so. His family were happy, but he wasn't.

One last bit to post.

Name: Ian MacHeath

Age: 19

Gender: Male

Alignment: Evil

Occupation: None

Appearance: Ian is tall and slightly muscular with wild blond hair that rarely sees the teeth of a comb; his eyes, which typically display a cold detachment, are a dark forest green. He typically dresses in dark colours which starkly contrast his light skin.

Personality: Ian is an introvert and a loner. He doesn't have many friends and the ones he has, he considers expendable. His attitude towards people is callous and cold for the most part. The only exception is his best friend Gus. Ian enjoys observing others. a hobby that gives him ideas on how to manipulate people. He enjoys playing practical jokes on others, even dangerous ones, without regard to how it will affect the other person.

Becomes: Ian's crystal warps his normally introverted personality into a more extroverted person. He becomes more spirited and and his ability to manipulate people improves greatly. His callousness grows even deeper as does his disregard for others. He becomes cold, calculating and selfish, caring only for what powers the crystal will bring him.

Weapons: Fists/Katana

Element: Air

Magic: When Ian discovers his crystal, he gains the ability to manipulate wind. As he possesses the crystal longer, his powers become stronger. He first gains the power to cause wind gusts. He soon learns how to create more powerful winds such as tornadoes and wind tunnels. Ian also finds that he can use his powers to levitate and even fly to an extent.

Backstory/History:

Ian's father was a city councilman and his mother a businesswoman. Even as a child, Ian spent much of his time alone. His parents' disinterest in him left a feeling of deep emptiness that he still feels to this day. The only person in his family to really give him any attention was his older sister.

Eight years his senior, Marianne spent as much time with him as she could and attempted to mother him as his mother should have. She would take him places often and treat him almost like her child. In her late teenage years, she got into drugs and drinking; her parents lack of attention towards both their children had its toll on her as well. When Ian was twelve, she disappeared and he has not seen her since.

After Marianne's disappearance, Ian grew even more lonely. He began to act out in school and at home as a cry for attention. It earned him his father's belt and sometimes a fist or two but not the attention or affection he needed.

In high school, Ian found a kindred spirit in Agostino, whom he calls Gus. He and Gus were both loners and both needed someone to depend on. Gus was a bit more shy than Ian and far more kind-hearted. Ian had more of a mean streak and enjoyed starting and ending fights and playing pranks.

Having been friends for several years now, Ian still spends most of his time with Gus when he is not alone. Gus is now a college student and trying to get Ian to join him in school. Ian's father would also like him to go to college but Ian is disinterested. He'd rather spend his days lazing about and pissing his father off.

I'll read over this again tomorrow to make sure everything's in order. It's late tonight but I wanted to get it posted. :gonk:

Tia you are approved. :yay: I have decided to reopen Light for the taking.

I'll be lurking this RP. So if you see me watching. Don't be alarmed. I'll just sit back and watch you all. Especially you, Diana.

I just realized something... Four of the Elements are on the Evil side, only two are on the Good side...

This could be very fun. :wacky:

I think it's quite good actually. The evil outweighing the good could make a good plot point. Though Jack and Tsukenai being two in one body at first could be interpreted as neutral. :hmmm:
