The small town of Semblance, in Illinois, is quiet, relaxed, and never in trouble. Crime rate is low. Media coverage is non-existant. It doesn't even appear on the map. Most citizens of Semblance never leave this tiny town, content to remain in the company of the town, its surrounding woodland and its deep religious culture.

However, that is all about to change. A number of nights ago, a projectile flew over the town of Semblance and broke apart overhead, raining down six crystals upon the town itself and the surrounding woodland. It was the beginning of a new chapter in the town of Semblance, and soon, the whole continent. Later, the whole world would suffer the consequences of what had started in this sleepy town.

Soon, six people were to find these crystals, and become attached to them; addicted to these glimmering objects that lit up, seemingly at random times. They refused to relinquish them, for one reason or another. No matter who found them,this would be the case.

However, there would always be those select few that would become corrupted by these crystals, these embodiments of the elements. They would become paranoid, violent, and unpredictable. And the crystals' influence continues over the days and weeks, until these people are changed to a shadow of their former selves.

For some, however, the crystals make them better, more pure, more outgoing, and more moral. It enhances them, makes them a champion of the weak. They become more ambitious, less able to ignore life outside of Semblance and the evil that exists in the world.

However, soon, the six Embodiments were to find one another. They all thought they had been given this pwoer for a reason and so began to form their own philosophies on how the world should be. Alliances and followings were gathered, and the battle for a ruler began.

This RP will start the day the main characters find their crystals. There are three types of characters you can make.

The Embodiments

These will be the main characters and can only be made by someone who intends to give high detail to both posts and bios. Each will get a crystal of their respective element towards the beginning of the RP. They are the only characters capable of using magic. There are six in total.

Government/Military

These are the group that will be hunting the crystals, and later the Embodiments. They know all about the crystals, though how is unknown. Their bios and posts will require relatively high detail.

Civilians

These include the citizens of Semblance and other locations, and also the police force of these location. Later in the RP they may choose an Embodiment to side with in their philosophy, which will inevitably make them enemies of any other Embodiments. Their bios and posts will require moderate detail

Philosophy

Later in the RP, the Embodiments will become dissatisfied with the way the world is and disillusioned, and want to change things. A more evil Embodiment may want domination and slavery, while a good Embodiment could want to protect the weak, or have equality. One Embodiment can become allies with another if their philosophies are similar. You can make your Embodiment early or late in the RP. Everyone will move at a different pace.

Alignment

Regardless of which element you choose, no particular element needs to be asscociated with good or evil. However, I'd like a fair number of good and evil characters. It's no fun if five Embodiments are evil and only one is good. So try to look at who is good and evil and make your character's alignment approriately.

Semblance

Semblance is a small town, split into three different parts:

City Centre

This is where City Hall and the police station are located, as well as a statue of the town's founder, Ciaran Semblance. The grass is lined perfectly with yellow and red flowers, and the grass is cut perfectly. It is a symbol of neatness.

Industrial District

A number of factories and businesses are run here. The towns elementary, middle and high schools are also located here. It is the largest part of Semblance

Residential District

These are suburbs, one at each end of the town. Houses neatly line the area, along with square gardens and a straight road out of town.

To the West and East of town there are fields and then forests. The two roads out of town are miles of rough country road and mountainous terrain that requires a car or high speed to pass through.

aye he would be evil indeed. Here is the bio, but I will post when edits have been made...I have made some but I am not finished just yet...

-Appearance/Attire/Armour:
Lloyed stands 183cm tall, and has a rough weight of 74kg, making him of just under average for a male his age. His body has a few scars but nothing special, his body is toned from years of fighting. His skin has a pale look to it with a slight grayish look, as if he had not seen sun for years. His complexion has a smooth touch to it, and would be considered fair. He has 2ft long hair that hangs loose as the wind wants it to have, though it always looked brushed and well maintained; it has a grayish white in color. His eyes are narrow and cold, almost as if one is looking into the eyes of death itself, a semi angry glance is enough to make most men fall to their knees, and they have a pale gray color.

The Vampiric robe is a long black hooded robe with a few laces hanging from some areas with some spiky symbols on the end. Under the robe he has a black shirt and black pants as well as shoes. All of a cotton like texture though the shoes is made of leather. The robe is actually an enchanted robe, it constantly ‘feeds’ on the energy of nearby people, regardless of friend or foe. If they are near him they will feel slightly tired, perhaps even ‘drained’, this energy is transferred to Lloyd himself. This won’t affect their battle ability or any other ability at all; it just helps Lloyd with a steady energy supply if there is enough life around him.


He has a few pendants in his pocket that is shaped like a black skull with green emeralds for eyes. If he activates them and gives them to friends, it will ward off the idle drain from the robe.
At his left hip hangs a single edged blade.

-First Impression:
Most would avoid him as his whole being gives off an aura of murder and mayhem. He looks like one that has no problems, and would me more than willing to send you to the afterlife, and in fact he does. If approached he will reply in a calm manor, regardless of what he was approached with.

-Personality:
Originally his goal in life was to get a family and support them. This was a goal he thought he knew he could accomplish and was very persistent for, just like anything else he wanted to do. If he had a goal, he would stop at nothing to achieve it. He also deemed his friends as his most precious possessions. He also would do all he could to retain his honor, and never hurt one undeservingly...

AFTER CRYSTAL:

The dark nature of his powers that he will gain from the crystal will change him considerably. The dark energies that reside inside him make him now see himself as a God of sorts, if not at least as a superior being, his goal changed to that of enslaving the world, effectively making him the new God. He uses his powers and physical skills to obtain this in any way he can. If he is approached with insult; they are dead, if he is approached with kindness; he brushes them off. He takes what he wants and kills anyone that dare get in his way.

-Speed:
His average running speed is about 17 miles an hour, but his total max sprinting speed is about 22 miles an hour. He can hold up an all out sprint for 45 seconds before needing to slow down to normal speed. His normal speed lasts about 16 minutes before he is out of breath and needs to take a break.

-Vitality:
He can take a punch well. It would take a good solid punch to the abdomen to knock the wind out of him, assuming he was hit in the most sensitive area on his abdomen. He has also built up a strong endurance for magic, taking multiple spells to get him down successfully, depending on the strength of a spell.

-Stamina:
Normally in battle, assuming he has not taken any blows at all, he could last a good 20 minutes. This will of course change appropriately by the blows he is to take. Running could last him a good solid 17 minutes at that constant rate.


-Strength:
Delivering a punch to a brick could take it out easily. However if you were to stack two, he would not be able to break both, at most he could break the first and crack the second. He could bench-press 10 reps of 130 pounds before needing to set it down for a break.

-Reflexes:
If someone were to aim a ranges weapon at him, he would feel a burning sensation in the direction they were from. This is often followed by paranoia. Seeing magic come at him, he can react fast enough to barely escape the ranged magics, but if there is a blast, it surely will hit him. Close range attacks are easy for him to react and fend off with his katana.

-Weapons:
Lloyed’s Katana is 95cm long (37.4 inch) and has the classic curve and one side edged. The handle is wrapped with a red under-cord, covered with pitch black cord on top. The blade itself has a slight purplish color. Everything reflected in the blade gets a purple color. The blade rests in a black sheath on his side. It is a very sturdy and sharp blade, capable of cutting stone.

-Abilities:
Hands of entropy: His fists are engulfed in his dark energy that resides within his soul. It takes the shape of his hand and sits as a hardened shell until he so desires to remove them. They add no force to his punches. This is for close range instant death, but the instant death is extremely hard for him to achieve. He must hold his hand on the target for 30 seconds all at once, if his hand is shaken off he would have to restart. Battles are measured in seconds so the achieving of this is almost impossible without assistance from someone else. After holding his hand on the target for 30 seconds, the body will be shocked with darkness, and the body will fall to the ground. He rarely uses this.
**This will not be used on other rpers and will only be used one specific, permitted npc's.

Entropy's rage: He gathers all his dark energy in his body and turns it into a dark aura around his sword. This causes his swings to leave a black line from the path the sword took. The effects it has are simple. A single cut will hurt on a twofold, causing no extra pain. It will also cut slightly deeper. This can last at a max of 5 minutes. The energy drain for this ability would take 5 castings to put him out, but he can also only use it twice if he is to wait 30 minutes between usage.

Entropy's false order: Gathering all the nuetral energy in his body, it begins to collect around him. This makes him glow slightly. This is a shell from pain. He will feel no pain when struck by anything, although impact will still effect him appropriately. This will only shut out pain, from both magic and physical, but damage is still happening. This also lasts 5 minutes.
The energy drain for this ability would take 5 castings to put him out, but he can also only use it twice if he is to wait 30 minutes between usage.

Mind Breaker: Lloyed puts images in ones head that he hopes angers them so greatly, they become itching to harm him. The images displayed vary by the person, as some things would anger one person more than another. He picks up on the memories of another and examines them, this also picks up fears. He then takes the memories and fears and projects them in the targets head. To use this on someone, he must focus on them and no matter where they are, as long as he has seen them before (so that you know he won't do this to someone he heard of once) with a valid encounter, not simply brushing by them on the street. After focusing, he needs to come up with images to place in, then it happens. To focus on one person and do this, he cannot use magic anymore. If he focuses on two, he will not be able to use magic anymore. If he is to focus on three, he will become completely immobile and have no defenses. When doing this he makes it very well apparent that it is him that is causing the images.

-Magic:
Spirit crushing wall: charging this in no time, he can cast a wall up that protects him from anything physical and magical, so long as it hits the wall. The wall comes from the ground at the height he desires, usually it also curves around him to cover most of his sides, but will never protect his back. a casting of this all when it is not needed takes no energy, but to block a blow from someone of the average strength takes enough energy to need to lower the wall after 3 seconds if they were to constantly place solid, repetitive punches. For magical blows the wall will fall on the first hit every time with a spell and cause him not to be able to put up the wall for another 25 seconds. It will block any magic blow that hits the wall and will drain about enough energy so he could block 6 blows before being totally drained.

Angels Curse: He begins to charge, the charge lasts 15 seconds for this powerful spell. During the charge, white streaming lights start to flail around him. At the same time, a flowing smoke-looking darkness drifts around his body. The longer charged, the more lights and darkness. When it is fully thickened, he casts this spell on himself and himself only. If he casts it on another target, it does nothing but waste energy. When the darkness and the light both go into him, he gains a white wing and a black wing. The white wing is appearing to be a demon wing, but it is confusing whether it is good or evil because of this color and shape contrast. The other wing is a black feathered wing. Both are equal in the span, and have identical mobility. With these wings he can fly (about 12 miles an hour in flight for about 4 minutes), but often chooses not to. They stay on him for about 4 minutes before fading. This spell also enhances his abilities and makes him a harder opponent to fight. For Entropy's rage, it is powered so that the pain caused instead of a twofold is then a threefold. Entropy's false order is enhanced so that he not only feels no pain, but he also cannot be hurt with magic or it heals. Physical attacks and geomancy or telekinetic based magics will still damage him though. The drain however, drains enough to match 2/3 of his total energy. Also in this state, he cannot cast other spells. This cannot be done while inside of "Afterlife Location".

History: He was a normal kid growing in a big city. Born a month late, he was a kid that was so ordinary, nobody would expect him of abnormal actions. He fit in with the other kids well for the remainder of his life. When he became 19 he moved out and he went to live in a small village in Georgia known as
Semblance. He lead a small life there doing nothing too big. For work he managed the meat department of the local grocery store. This continued until he became age 23 and he started his own buisness of making weapons that would be massively outdated and made a sword that he was particularly fond of. He had coated it in purple stainless steal and was very durable, by far one of his best works. He sells his pieces all the time but will refuse to sell that sword at any price.

Ok. I won't be finishing this til Tuesday. I have trivia to run soon and then need to relax/sleep before work tomorrow ... and I won't be around tomorrow night as I'm staying at a friends for the night. :hmmm:

Appearance:: Isabella is a slender girl, reaching in at approximately five feet and three inches. She has a curvy body that she uses to get what she wants, with long legs and an ample bosom. Rich, pale blonde hair tumbles down her back, stopping just short of her rear. Bella usually wears her hair with two sides pinned back and the rest loose. She will occasionally tie it back with a white ribbon depending upon her mood. Her eyes are a milk chocolate brown, but seem to shimmer green on occasion.

Isabella is a pretty girl and knows it. When not wearing her school uniform (which she takes great pride in), she tends towards a tight fitting dress and boots of red. A firm believer in looking good, Izzy is constantly striving to look her very best.

The main feature that changes about Izzy are her eyes, morphing to a soft ocean blue to match the element of her crystal. Her choice of clothing also changes. Taking on the shade of darkness; black, Bella wears a long, thin strapped dress. Long, thigh length socks accompany this, finished with a pair of knee high boots. Izzy also restyles her hair, wearing it in two bunches near constantly. The left side is held up by a small, black ribbon. The right side is decorated with a larger ribbon of lace, tied into a dainty bow. To finish off her new look, a pair of long gloves that match her socks adorn her arms and hands.

Personality: Daddy's little princess. That is the first thing most people seem to think when they meet the spoilt little princess that is Isabella Montague. With a penchant for always managing to get exactly what she wants, using her womanly charms, she has made quite a name for herself at school where the boys are more than willing to line up if it means some alone time with the fiesty blonde.

Incredibly outgoing, Izzy is not afraid to speak the first thing that comes to mind; and often does so without thinking about the consequences of her words. She is also somewhat selfish, caring more about herself than those around her. But if she lets you inside her outer wall, it becomes quite obvious that there is more to this little princess than first meets the idea. Fearful of men due to an abusive upbringing, it is easy to see where her "I do what I want" attitude originated from.

Personality upon recieving Crystal:: The longer the crystal is in Bella's possession, the darker her personality becomes. Away goes the "I do what I want because I can attitude" to be replaced by a "don't stand in my way, or die" mindset. Sadistic to the point of being cruel, the crystal has a deadly effect on the young girl. Any ounce of humanity vanishes over time, leaving behind nothing more than a shell devoid of human reasoning. With a lust for both death and blood, Izzy certainly takes a turn for the worst.

Weapons::
Sai x2
A pair of Sai designed to deal more damage with thrusts than slashes. The handles are made to fit Izzy's grip for comfort and flexibility. When in use, they become almost literally a part of Bella's body.

Leather Gloves
Being a lover of more close up, physical combat, Bella also has a pair of simple red, fingerless gloves. The only reason she wears these is to protect her hands (most of them, at least) from the impact of the attacks she deals.

Backstory/History::
Despite her spoilt attitude (giving her the "daddy's little princess" vibe), Izzy was never close to her father. Born into a family with three brothers and one older sister, she was the youngest and because she did not bear the same dark hair and green eyes, her father saw her as an outcast. Believing his wife has cheated on him whilst he was away at work, he beat the woman on a regular basis, determined to get the truth from her, even if it meant battering the love out of their marriage.

And so most nights, Bella would witness her mother's 'punishment' at the hands of her father. Her siblings never discovered the truth as she was the only one ever around when he dished out his 'revenge' on his cheating wife. Her own punishment was to watch as he did so, to listen to his words calling Isabella herself an abomination and that he should have gotten rid of her the moment she was born.

Her mother, however, doted upon Bella. They would often sneak out and go for shopping trips or Bella would help bandage her mother's wounds and broken bones. All in all, Bella was happy only when she was alone with her mother. At the age of twelve, the beatings got worse.

One prominent attack caused Isabella to stand up to her father, only to receive his wrath herself. And so his punishment turned upon his daughter. Her mother would beg to take the batterings herself, for him to leave her beloved daughter alone, but he would only laugh and say the girl had brought it on herself the day she stood up to him. He never marked her face as that would reveal the truth of his fatherly lessons to her school friends.

And so Isabella became an arrogant and selfish young girl to mask the true pain that resided within her. When she was strutting around the school as Queen Bee, she felt like she could take the beatings. At fifteen the abuse got worse and finally her eldest brother found out what was going on. But the damage was already done. Isabella's innocence was already broken and no matter what Matthew, Samuel, Alexander or Elizabeth did, they could not bring the sweet Isabella back out of the damaged shell of a girl.

They pleaded to their mother to leave their father and finally she relented, realizing he couldn't be saved. The family moved away and her siblings worked to try and make Isabella happy... to no avail. The stuck-up little princess facade stayed put.

Appearance:
Clara is a mix with Asian and American descent. Her hair is brown and relatively long, reaching about the middle of her back. It is not fashioned in any particular way so it is left to grow, though her fringe does cross naturally across from her left to her right over her right eye. This is sometimes pulled up to the side with a bobby pin. Clara was never the school beauty. She was noticeable, but due to her lazy "i don't give a damn" attitude, she never bothered with looking good, thus went unnoticed besides being a giant of a girl. Her hair always covering her face never helped.

Clara's eyes are a light brown, typical that of a mixed child. It is set in a shape as if she is always contemplating in something, pensive...or daydreaming and not concentrating. Again, her complexion is pale with only a hint of pink to her skin. Her looks are decent enough to be pleasant and nice, but she would not consider herself to be eye boggling. The most outstanding feature she has is that she stands at a big 178 cm tall and with it, weighing around 55 kg. Trained and hardened through her profession, her frame is tough, lean and strong.

Clothing wise, it depends. She had always had a liking for more prim and proper and uniform-like style. She wears a white uniform shirt with a thin red tie under a dark gray uniform blazer which reaches just above her waist. On her lower torso, she wears a matching dark gray skirt that reaches just above the knee with a pair of skins sport shorts underneath. On her feet are a pair of knee high black socks and a pair of black uniform leather loafers. Although she does not always wear it, she keeps a pair of glove with her. These gloves are her work gloves for protection when shooting, thus pretty big. They are light gray in colour. At the index finger, there is no finger protection to allow easier shooting motion. Also, she carries a few holster for her weapons. One, is a dual shoulder holster on her left side, storing her
Beretta 92 and her USP, while her VBR-B is stored on her thigh holster. Her knife is always stored on the other leg than the VBR-B
Personality:
Clara is a lazy person as well as being quiet. Nothing pleases her more than a nice warm afternoon sleeping. She may say stuff like how it is troublesome and complain about a job, but that is just a "soldiers right to gripe" and she would perform the task to her best of abilities. She may seem lazy, but in actual fact, Clara is insightful and sharp. Add that with her patience and calmness, she is well sited to her job as a sniper.

Weapons:
As a police, she has a fair amount of weapons.

H&K USP .45: Her USP is her own sidearm. It comes with a LAM that is similar to the MK23. Holstered on her left side.

Beretta 92:
Her police issued sidearm. Rather standard in aspect. Holstered on her right side.
VBR-B: The VBR-B is Clara's own PDW. It holds 22 rounds in its magazine and is capable of becoming a machine pistol, but for usability sake, it is always set in single burst. Holstered on her right thigh

Knife: A standard 6 inch combat knife, holstered on her left thigh

Push Dagger: Something that she carries on her own. One thing her father had always told her is to go everywhere with a knife. Thus, she had been carrying a push dagger ever since. This small knife is slipped in behind her waist in a small pouch inside her skirt, hidden.

L96 sniper rifle: This is Clara's own specialised sniper rifle. Everything is modified to her style and comfort. She does not carry this around unless there is a serious situation, such as being called to duty or such.


History:
Clara's history is nothing spectacular. Born from an average family and went to an average school in Semblance. Her easy going and lazy personality came from her care-free lifestyle at school. Her athletics skills were one of her forte in which eventually led her to choose to be a police, more out of interest then idealistic notions. Like school, she seemed lazy, but her results were top notched, leading her higher up until she was selected to be in the Special Forces as a sniper. Figuring it would be something new to try, she accepted. Little did she know that the near future events would be completely beyond her normal comprehension.

Name: Stanford McCyan
Age: 42
Gender: Male
Affiliation: Lawful Neutral/Lawful Evil
Occupation: U.S. Army General
Appearance:
Stanford has short brown hair and blue eyes. He is 5'6" and weighs 150 lbs. He wears a Olive Jacket and a white dress shirt underneath with a Black tie. Stanford also wears Olive Pants as well.

On his Jacket is his name tag, and various decorations, including the Bronze Star, the Army Distinguished Medal, the Defense Distinguished Medal and the Legion of Merit. On his shoulders are 4-stars, representing his rank as a General in the United States Army.

Personality:
McCyan is a hard-nosed pencil pusher of sorts. As commander of the U.S. Army Rangers, McCyan believes in doing whatever it takes to win. He doesn't believe in total defeat and is willing to make any sacrifice to ensure that he achieves a clear and total victory at all costs.

In addition, McCyan is very patriotic towards his country and as such, is willing to do whatever it takes to ensure that not only America is safe, but also to ensure that everyone would be as proud of America as he is.

Weapon:
Colt Anaconda .44 Magnum Revolver (18 bullets and an addition 6 already loaded)

Bio:
McCyan served in the United States Army for over 30 years, rising to the rank of General after leading his units to glory in the Persian Gulf and Somalia. His viewoints on war and patriotism changed in Somalia, when almost an entire platoon was killed in action, and was further intensified in the War on terror.

When rumors of the magical crystals in the U.S. became true, the general wanted to ensure, that they would fall into the hands of his country.
