I think it might be a good idea to create a spot called RPG Creator. The person in the pistion would control the general direction and development of the inferno and have the final say in it. With 3 other inferno mods that would enable the inferno to develop in an orderly and effective manner.
RPG Creator - Julius (promoted)
Mods - Gabranth, Tielknight, New mod.
For the new mod I suggest Marshy who has returned or Ruka who has shown that he has high skill in the inferno.

Mitsuki said that he does, but we have 2 of them that are working in 2 or more sections this tends to change their focus.

Might as well call the 'RPG Creator' a 'RPG Director', since he basically plays leader in this position. But personally, I would say theres not much of a need to do that, since they're already doing a great job so far, even without the position change.

True they are doing a good job, but there are countless times when members catch the staff in the spot where they are currently at with another hand and just one person setting the direction it would enable it to increase in speed of progress.

If you mean when they are online and don't reset characters:
Asking for a reset does not mean you will automatically get one, this is a privilege.
As much as everyone dislikes this, thats the rule implemented.

Also I don't think they need another RPG Director/Creator, if they needed I think they already have done something about it.

The RPG suggestion thread works as the "RPG Creator" we gave our ideas, they apply whichever they like.

just one person setting the direction it would enable it to increase in speed of progress.
No it won't, it'll take exactly the same amount of time as it already does. How fast things get done is completely dependent on how much time the RPG Mods are able to dedicate.

And I'll second what Ruka said, if they needed a new director then they would already have implemented one. Hence, neither a new director or a "creator" are needed.

Technically, Julius already does that without the extra bit to it. I don't think there should be a new category, but it would be up to the RPG Staff to see if they really do need help. If they needed it, they would have asked for it.
Koloth still helps out with the RPG...doesn't he?
Not to positive on that but i believe he isn't because i got him into runescape :wacky: he plays that all the time now not sure if he has time to work on the RPG

Of course he has time to work on it, unless real life issues do get in the way of things. If someone chooses a game primarily over a staff position (albeit it's not a job you get paid for...), then they'll have to evaluate their time a bit better so the time is spent equally/decently on the forums and gaming.

Let me rephrase that..
I was thinking Koloth worked on the game anymore because he wasn't red colours. I thought he simply modded. Wasn't saying he wasn't still doing his job, was just saying that he probably mods and plays the game. I thought he didn't work on it anymore..

I think the good thing about the RPG Directors is that they work together as a team, so I'm not fond of adding an "RPG Creator" that has the final say. It wouldn't speed things up, and it could even slow it down if a Director had to get permission from the creator first.

And, how would we choose this RPG Creator? If we chose say, Julius as you said, how would that make the other RPG Directors feel? Bitter that they weren't chosen? Angry?

I'm sorry but I don't like the idea at all.

Yeah I'm with Artemis on this. Our RPG Directors all work as a team. There shouldn't be one head over the other who has final say. The last thing we want is our RPG Directors at each other's throats or irritated with the 'RPG Creator' at all. I don't like this idea at all either.

As for Koloth Marshy, I'm fairly certain he does still help out with the RPG, just not as much as he used to.

The Inferno Mods all already do a good bit of what I asked it is just that they don't seem to get recognition for it. To my knowledge Julius and Gabranth set the direction for the last one. As for how they would feel I am certain that tiel would be okay with it because it would mean that he wouldn't be the one getting more work, Gabranth would be happy for Julius because they are good friends, and Koloth really wouldn't care because of runescape.
How it would be faster is that it would provide organization that would enable them to work at a quicker pace and not have to fight over the small things.
Ex.
Julius get made the creator. He weekly posts up the areas each person needs to finish. This would make it to where the people would work on more areas effectively.

Right now they are together working on about 4 areas a week, but using this alongside testers they could change it to over 15 areas per week. That is almost 4 times the rate. With a rate that high then the members would find it hard to keep up with the mods in the rate of progress.

Koloth DOES still help out in the RPG, it's just the fact that there's little to do with it at the moment. But that doesn't mean he or any of the other mods aren't doing anything; they could be currently planning something. I don't like the idea either to be honest, I think the team is as good as it can get right now.

Adding yet another job title would do nothing but extend the chain of command and prolong your waiting time. Any action taken would depend on his or her say-so. If that were to be avoided, then all you'd be doing is giving someone a title for the sake of having a title, as opposed to doing something with it.

If what you're actually trying to suggest is that you're not happy with the RPG's current set-up, and the Directors' attention therein, then I'd ask you to simply say it instead of pussyfooting around it by pushing for promotions.

Dudes, please have patience. I know we have not been the fastest around but please bear in mind that some of us have real life issues to settle. I work and study so I can't be chained to the RPG ACP 24/7. Sometimes I do not even have time for myself nor my family because I use the little spare time for Inferno, which ain't fair for my family. I thought of using my freeday (tomorrow) for cleaning what's left along with the rest of the RPG Crew.

The ACP needs to be cleaned out before any significant progress can be made. There are lots of stuff that needs to be deleted and RPG Inferno lacks a mass deletetion feature (which means everything needs to be deleted ONE by ONE)

So to answer a few questions:
1. Yes we are working on this.
2. Resets are not priority this time.
3. Everyone will be RESET. Period.
4. This takes time.
5. Support Forums for Inferno are down so if a glitch is found, we have to work around it 'because we can't get the creators of Inferno to fix it.
6. Yes, we noticed that the items say "enchantment" twice. Can't be helped so imagine it says weight...
7. The more people bug to be reset, the chances are it won't happen.
8. Reset is a privilege.
9. 15 areas per week? God....:ffs:

Yeah, I gotta say that keeping them together as a team and not really appointing anyone "in charge" over the others will be best for the site as a whole.

Currently they all have the same capabilities in the RPG and can add/adjust/remove/ etc whatever they want to keep the RPG functioning. All of them have a hand in the functioning of the RPG overall. Moving someone up to "Creator" wouldn't be any different than what the rest of teh RPG Directors can do anyway it seems.

They know how they work together best. It's not necessarily a bad solution if the RPG Directors thought there was a problem. They have to move at their own pace and honestly, out of every aspect of these boards, the RPG mods have always been the most solid.

lol Why is your user title "Banned", el tardo? That's an old moony trick. :P

Someone really likes you Julius :wacky:

If we had one person calling all the shots, the game would not have half the ideas it does, most of the ideas come from everyone blabbering back and forth until someone says something good and we implement the idea. I agreed to help with the new game and pretty Koloth is going to as well. Were already brainstorming ideas and getting things ironed out, but first, we have to delete ALL of the old stuff, that includes all the triggers. And their is literally hundreds of them and they have to be deleted one at a time. Monsters, npc's, NPC dialogs, etc. etc. Gets the wipe. It will take some time, but it will be a brand new game.

It will be worth the wait, I'll say that :D

( blagh, too much typing)

Hahaha that's too true. While I'm sure I'd love any ideas for the RPG I might conjure, I'm sure no one else would want to fight a lvl 50 Gary Coleman with fire breath. My RPG would be so fucked up... you'd only be able to play it drunk or high.
