Kansas man who donated sperm to lesbian couple being sued by state for child support
The case, involving a man who donated sperm to a lesbian couple three years ago and is now being sued by the state of Kansas to pay child support, poses a challenge to the state's donor laws. The donor's lawyer says are outdated.

I heard this on the news today and I literally couldn't believe it. How stupid can people get
I don't know but this guy just got screwed without getting "screwed" 
It just goes to show every good deed will go punished.
EDIT: I just found this off of another website, this article doesn't really cover the entire story.
"But because they didn't go through a doctor, the state argues, Marotta is the legal father and should be responsible for about $6,000 in public assistance Schreiner received to help care for the child. The state also wants him to pay child support, though neither woman is asking for money.
Marotta's attorney said Thursday that the law is outdated. But legal experts agreed that Marotta and the women put themselves in the predicament."

I don't see the state winning this since they signed an agreement, but the law obviously needs to be changed since it isn't written that well. It's still a crap thing they are pulling, it just makes life more difficult for the people who want to do a good thing and for the people who really want a family of their own, but can't.
