SOTW 127 Voting Thread

The theme this week is Text. Please remember, that while posting isn't necessary in order to count your vote, it is encouraged.

My, my, my. This is one difficult choice folks. Lets see, they are all stunning, sexy as hell. But Im going to go for ... 6!

Reasons:

Im a sucka for brushes and the brushes are what grab me first. Second are the colours, they have been chosen well and dont clash. They blend well together. The different texts chosen go so well together also, nice different ones instead of bog standard sames. And finally the amazing overlaying, that the right term?? You end up looking more then once at the image.

It's not even fair how much #3 dominated this lineup. I mean that is some killer use of color, I would put that on my T-shirt if it said something a little more profound than just "TEXT". Awesome job right there, whoever made it.

#6 really stood out for me from the selection. Its colours are beautifully executed and I love what it says. Top marks for that one!

I'm going for 1.

It's very simple yet very effective. I like how it's nice and chunky, yet not big enough to clash with the woman.
Not sure of the colouring was already there on the woman but it looks great none the less.

It just looks... delicious. Very very nice.

Color-wise, 3 caught my attention more. Very vibrant and magnificent use of different colors. It definitely follows the theme well.

But in the end, I voted for number 2. This is seriously one of the best text work I've seen. I can tell the different length that the artist poured into the most intricate details, from highlights, to shadows, to use of gloss, and so on. To top it off, it has an extra unique look to it - I mean my gosh, I cannot stop looking at it. The colors are unique here - I've never really seen too much of that color theme used before. The 'wooden' texture looks smooth and pretty much added a perfect touch. The word "typography" was placed imaginitively. I love it! I can go on and on and on because it seems like the longer I look at it, the more things I notice. I cannot find flaws in this work.

6 is also really good. Very abstract and somewhat grungy looking which depicts a creative style as well.

1, 4, and 5 - Nice job! But the other 3 mentioned above seems to follow more on the theme as it has the more dominant style theme-wise.

I say 6.

This was very hard, mind you. They were all fantastic and if I had two votes, 3 would have got the second one.

6 had some great effects and the text was presented quite good. The mixture of fonts is fantastic and the effects really brings out the text. Great job.

3 was quite nice, I have to add. The color scheme is great and I love the text. Awesome job

I was so surprised with the entries this week. They're all gorgeous.

My vote goes to 2. It took me a damned long time to actually figure out what it said, but it's so damn creative. Really inspiring, and absolutely gorgeous.

The colours in three are amazing.

Luuuuuurve those two entries especially.

It was out of 2,3 and 6 for me, but in the end I went with #2.

I love the calm feel it seems to have about it and the creativity.

It took me a while to figure out what it said though. =P

It's been put together in a very clever way and I congratulate the artist on this piece!

Number 2, it instantly just stood out to me as well, awesome. I actually really like them all, they all look so vibrant

2 is just unreal though

When it came down to voting, I looked only at the essential element. Since the theme was "Text" I only looked at the text. There are several beautiful signatures with gorgeous effects, but to me, #2 and #6 had the most interesting and appealing text.

However, I liked how all the different fonts were used and blended together in #6, so it got my vote. Although, I found the overall presentation of the text in #2 to be breathtaking, #6 just beat it, for me. Beautiful pieces though.

I think the whole thing is just very original and the WORDS in the background is just awesome.
