I thought this would be a cool topic...I don't know if you guys have a specific time of the year when you do your tax returns over there in Europe or Australia...but April is the time when you either have to pay up what you owe in taxes or you file for a return here in the U.S. Usually tax time is a time when you save up, spend what you get because you need things, or do a mix of both :monster:

I already filed and got my $1500.00 refund from the feds and the state deposited in my checking...so I already spent some :wacky:

I got a bunch of spring clothes from American Eagle: A handful of tops and some jeans.

From Amazon I got Resonance of Fate for my PS3, Donna Karan Cashmere Mist perfume, the movie Elizabeth and How To Train Your Dragon on dvd, and a pair of marcasite accented cherry earrings.

I'm getting a $100.00 synthetic oil change for my car...

and I'm saving $120.00 so I can get my hair trimmed and highlighted again for my graduation pictures in September.

The rest is going in the bank :monster:

tax ...what?

all they do is take our money, we never get out back -__-

well, unless we make an over payment and thats about it

so in answer, fuck all -__-

what the.... america refund u tax..... dam it.... sadly the uk government are being sooo greddy right now... they even took away my bonuses for my EMA (Education Maintenance Allowance) :( but if i did.. new cloths... dissidia duodecim and 3rd birthday XD

We do our tax in June/July if you like to get it done early. Most leave it till later in the year when they can be bothered to do it, though I think they have to finalise it by October or something.

Anyway I usually get back around $1000 each year and this year it's going to pay off bills. Every cent will be put on bills/loans so I can start to finalise them all before the next year.

$1000 isn't much but it will go towards something at least.

My goal is to have no loans owing by next year. >.<

I haven't had a job in ages so i haven't had tax money to spend :sad3:

If i did though, i'd buy a PS3, more clothes, and save the rest up so i can Go to Japan later in the year -__-

ema doesn't get taxed.

We should be getting ours in a few days actually. We're gonna use that money to get our arses the hell out of New York. We're gonna drive all the way, so we need money for food, storage, hotel, etc.

We're also gonna get some new furniture. My Mom is calling this move our 17th and final move. She says this will be our new beginning. I'm looking forward to going finally.

Also, we're getting the WWE PPV DVD collection! :)

Does this only happen if you have a job? :hmmm: Cause I only remember having to pay taxes when I had a job, and I only remember getting Tax Returns when I had to pay taxes... :O

I guess the answer is yes  Golly I'm a genius!

ANYWAY, I really need a job :( Then I can piddle my tax returns away again :sad3:

my tax return will be huge and i'll probably buy a new horse with it.

i like to do show jumping and things like that. i have a show horse and a fox hunting horse. if i get a new horse i'll probably use it for ploughing the fields.

For the latter part of your first sentence, once you reach a certain tax bracket, you truly do start paying taxes.

I just hit that bracket this year, so my days of getting money back are now over. Haha thats ok though, it was a good 14 year run!
