Schools been closed for a week, buses and trains were stopped and Ive been sick as a parrot. I'm bloody sick of this weather now, shit better get back to normal next week. And because Im not a main street, we havent had the gritters up here either

Had to go to the stupid shop, fooloshly wore my trainers an d just sank in a foot of snow and got it all in my socks -__-

Ive been going through my gas like its going out of fashion as well, I can see my breath when I breath when its not on -__-

My brother made a snowman with boobs though, and an igloo :mokken:

Don't wear plimsolls. I did that on Monday morning and my feet were in pain for the rest of the day.

I've been affected by it mind, I only went to college on the Monday. Every other day we couldn't get through because the roads where I am are shit and no one grits them. On the other hand, it meant I got some proper revision done. The weather better be okay next week, I have exams that I really don't want pushing back until summer. :mokken:

It's suppose to go on for like another 2 or 3 weeks >.>

It's started snowing again here -__- I'm going to DIE from this cold at this rate. We better have a shit hot Summer to make up for this never ending bollockery. The gritters are neglecting us as well. Shitting council, they charge enough bloody council tax, you think they'd be able to grit all the roads. PEOPLE ON SIDE STREETS NEED TO GET OUT AS WELL :rage:

I swear if the school is still closed tomorrow I'l scream -__-

My brother made a snowman with boobs though, and an igloo :mokken:

Are these separate entities or is it like a snowman with igloo boobs? In which case it'd be a snowlady, I think.:hmmm:

Ah yeds, the snowe. I've not been that bothered by the weather 'cept Tuesday when it was so cold my face went numb.:mokken: Other than that and the fact that I can't run about naked outside I'm not all that bothered.:hmmm:

Also Kelly, y un't on the emesen? :sad3:

The snow and ice isn't as bad here in Blackpool though everyone is acting like it's the end of the world or something. The area should have plenty of grit to last us for a month, which is lucky for us because I know the south is suffering.

It hasn't affected me that badly. I had half of Tuesday and Wednesday off from college, I had a slip and an injured right knuckle and that's probably about it.

I have exams too (tomorrow in fact). I don't want more snow to come down and postpone them to June when we're supposed to have more exams. However the forecast seems to say there will be more tonight.

Also I have seen some stupid pricks throw snow at passing cars.

For the first time in a long time I've seen snow around here, and yea since Mississippi isn't used to it, the bridges are terrible about getting cleaned up. I honestly don't mind it as long as I don't have to drive in it. Luckily it rarely sticks if it even does snow. So whatever .. really. Now if I was still living back in Nashville, I would say I hate snow, because we would always have school despite the terrible hills filled with snow.

I haven't been badly affected by the snow, but that's only because I've not absolutely needed to go out in it. I won't be needing to go into uni until the wednesday of this week and only then can I tell if I'll be affected seriously or not.

I went out in it on friday night though, and was wearing shoes that were perhaps not best suited for snow. I was in a hurry to get out though before the pub closed so I wasn't thinking straight. I slipped and skidded a bit, but it was my own fault, and I managed to keep my balance without falling all the way over and dying or anything. On the way up to the taxi on the way home it was a bit trickier though. :ness:

The snow has started to melt now, and we've had a bit of rain which has made the snow all soggy... Sadly this means that my snowman has lost his left arm, he had been in perfect condition for days. :sad2:

So not badly affected here, but I'll find out what it's like when I'm going back and forth from uni.

EDIT:
Ha ha, look at this:

It's certainly interesting seeing us like that...

I was out on Friday night too, and Carlisle ended up getting down to -17. Which was the coldest place in England. I later regretted buying a pizza to 'warm me up'. I hadn't taken into account that it requires both hands to be out of my pockets.

EDIT:
Ha ha, look at this:

I saw that in the paper a couple of days ago, and I'm still debating whether or not it's real. It looks like something taken from The Day After Tomorrow...

Luckily, it's supposed to stay above 0 all week, except for the odd occasion in the extreme North of Scotland so the snow and ice should start melting.
I had a project at uni completely fucked up because of the snow. We were supposed to be filming a commercial involving motorbikes, but motorbikes and ice don't mix so we had to change the idea entirely. ):

Yeah, it was -15 over here..fucking cold as fuck. I had to walk for 2 hours in that weather wearing only a two layers.

Snow is rly starting to piss me off now.
Having to get to school in it if the worst, buses braking down being 45 mins later for lessons-__-
then these pricks throw snow balls srsly there not fucking 11 anymore -_-

i have also locked my self out the house twice since the snow hit badley so im standing out side my house waiting for someone to come(Normally about 2 hours)

You guys are lucky. Down here in Houston, Texas it never snows. When we were young and living in Louisiana it snowed every year and we miss it dearly. It's somewhat cool down here at 15 degrees F.

However, we wish it were colder and that it would snow. If we could change weather right now, we would happily do so.

I live in Norway and I'm supposed to be used to freaking snow.
Thou the last couple of years we have had thoose one week with snow then it's gone again type of winters.
But this winter is just complete and utter bullcrap.

The amount of snow have actually hindered me to go outside at all. I'm afraid of the ice that is created when the snow is melted becouse of previous incidents and have also been locked inside the house becouse of the amount of snow. I'm just happy I'm not going college or work or anything couse this is starting to get ridicolous.
:se7:

At first, I didn't even mind there was snow because we hardly get any every year.

Now? I want it gone. On Sunday, I had to go from Manchester Piccadilly train station to the Manchester Victoria one because there were no trains running from Piccadilly to Bolton. I ended up walking for nearly half an hour through the accursed snow and a book in my bag kept poking my leg. Now I've got a massive purple bruise. >_>

I had to go shopping yesterday at Morrisons and what is only a ten minute walk was double the time. And I wanted to go see Avatar a couple of weeks ago, but my friend couldn't come since there were no trains running up in Mossley.

I just want this snow to go away now. It's really pissing me off. :jtc:

Dude! You guys should send some of that snow this way! I love the snow and the cold weather. Arkansas doesn't seem to get a lot though. :/ At least where I am.

Snow has affected me quite a bit, but I'm trying to have fun in the weather rather than get grumpy about it. :p

[MOD EDIT - Could you please expand on this? Like what do you mean by quite a bit? Driving? General chill? Thanks]

EDIT: Since I'm sure ya'll have been dying to know, I sledded down the hill with my sister yesterday on our cheap plastic inner tube sled, and helped her build a giant snow chair out of packed white snow. She's only 11 so she needed all the help she could get and it kept me active for a couple of hours. And I also helped my landlord shovel her porch, if you can believe it or not most Germans prefer to sweep their snow into the yard rather than shovel it all into a giant pile. Finally I had fun swerving through traffic the day after a massive blizzard hit Maryland. Yes it was dangerous, but I had to get to the airport and I always enjoy a challenge when driving.

Also, the cold air helps me meditate, which is helpful if you don't catch a cold or get frostbite.

Yes WELL ITS COLD! Alot of snow nut not as much as what I saw on the news for the UK but its still fuckin freezin. Walkin to school is a fucking pain and I could have an accident with one of the cars because they have no winter tires either that or I couldnt give of 2 cents. The bus takes fucking forever TO COME So sometimes I have to fucking walk.

I'm outside of Philadelphia and we'd gotten about 14" total before New Years. Even though we're in the northeast US, and it doesn't sound like much sow, it's typical for us to see little more than a dusting before New Years. The heavy snow generally comes in February and March. Actually, it had been 3 years + since I actually had to worry about shoveling the driveway after a snowfall - they've been so puny that I could just let it melt on it's own or throw some salt down.

Parts of the city got upwards of 2 feet - it was the biggest December snowfall in over 30 years. There were people sledding down the enormous steps to the Art Museum on garbage can lids, trash bags, cafeteria trays - any makeshift disc (for reference for those that haven't been to the area - if you've seen the Rocky movies - it's the steps he runs up when he's training in the city).

Only minor inconvenience for me. I started to slip a little while I was shoveling on New Year's eve - when I flailed my arms to catch my balance, I smacked myself right in the front teeth with the handle to the shovel. Thankfully no dental work.

After a week, the snow and ice are finally melting away which is good news because my grandma slipped on the ice twice and well...she isn't really in the best of shape anyway so it was utterly dangerous for elderly people.

Though Blackpool still suffers depressingly cold subzero temperatures when it's dark, we haven't had anymore snow since last week. Actually that's a lie because it did snow for about 15 minutes yesterday lunchtime.

So things are coming back to normal for us. The cars are back on the road (and causing enormous queues that double the length of time taking me to get to college), trains are (sort of) running again and exams are on full steam ahead.

Hopefully it stays this way because I can't afford to miss any of my AS exams (well I can, I just prefer not to for the sake of the summer). I really hate snow now. It may seem amazing and fun after a short while, but then you realise the disruptive consequences it causes after the excitement fades. I've seen enough and I hope the freeze across the rest of the UK dies down soon as well.

You should all try living in my neck of the woods, where Winter lasts 6 months and we get upwards of 7 feet of snow every year. It was like that last year--this year my backyard has 4 and counting. Also, -30 degrees centigrade outside with wind chill. It's a good thing that I love the snow and I don't drive, else I'd be in a world of trouble.

It's cold and snowy where I live. The snow is hard to walk in, ice is everywhere, and my face felt like it was going to fall off. You guys are so lucky that your schools close, because mine barely even closes!D:<
