A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away ...

It has been fifty years since the fall of the Empire. Most of the Empire's subjects have been erased, whilst some still linger in the shadows. The New Jedi Order was established under the leadership of Luke Skywalker, the legendary hero that brought the Emperor to justice and freed the galaxy of his ruthless control. The New Republic was also created and resurrected the ways of democracy.

Skywalker was expelled by the New Jedi Order and the New Republic for Dereliction of Duty. With his departure, Kenth Hammer became the Grand Master of the Jedi Order. His whereabouts are now uncertain, as he is in exile.

Little does the New Republic know, Darth Corzaneous is still alive as the last Sith lord in existence. Ten years ago, he kidnapped Princess Lucinda Alero of Naboo as part of his grand plan to overthrow democracy. While Corezaneous's existence remained primarily a secret in the galaxy, it was assumed that the princess died.

Now times are changing. Several attacks on numerous planets are the work of Corzaneous, prompting the New Republic to believe it is the work of pirates on the weaker worlds. The Sith lord will destroy whoever stands in his way. Even if it means unleashing his newly rechristened apprentice, Kaela ...

Rules​

No godmodding, powerplaying or metagaming. This means no being invincible, taking over anyone else's character(s) or knowing what will happen in the story suddenly.

No killing. Unless you have permission to kill another character or it's one of your own, this is not allowed.

Literacy is a must. Whilst I do not ask for perfect grammar and punctuation, it would be nice for everone if they can understand your posts.

I'm interested, but for the template shouldn't you have Race/Species, home planet, Sith or Jedi (possibly neutral), force abilities and whatnot? That kind of worries me. :hmmm:

No worries, when it comes to a Star Wars RP, it's easy to forget small details like that, because there is quite a few of them. I'll get started on a bio tomorrow, quite tired at the moment. :gasp:

Often cold and emotionless, Kaela's upbringing to become a user of the dark side has made her this way. She was once a happy and energetic child until her kidnapping at the age of six. Darth Corzaneous has been harsh and strict with her, but this has given her nerves of steel and sees his vicious ways as a test to cope with the outside world.

She knows little of the consequences of her actions and is therefore uncaring of what happens to others. Kaela is respectable towards her master, but feels the need to unleash and vent her anger at those she does not know or deems a threat.

With a slender, but slightly muscular figure, Kaela is typically seen in dark combat clothing. She has a blue crystal necklace around her neck, although it is unknown where it came from ...

Bio
Born Princess Lucinda Keri Alero of Naboo, her childhood was short-lived. It was happy and peaceful until the sinister Darth Corzaneous kidnapped her, renaming her Kaela. Because of the harsh and intense training she suffered, Kaela does not remember her past life very well. Her naive ways meant that she did not resist Corzaneous and willingly served as his new apprentice at the mere age of six. This decision would have serious consequences for the future.

Over the course of the next ten years, Kaela took the brunt of whatever her master had to throw at her. Her cheerful persona had been replaced by one that was cold, emotionless and ruthless. She began to see what her master was aiming for and dedicated herself to overthrowing democracy, believing that the galaxy needed to be tamed under his leadership. He sent her on several missions to Coruscant to spy on active politics; this later proved to be a test to fully embrace the dark side, as she discovered.

After embracing the dark side and getting closer to fulfilling her "destiny", Kaela has become the second in command of Corzaneous's personal army of Imperial remnants. Dispatching them across weaker worlds to cause strife has been a success so far, but she has begun to question her own role in this new conflict. Corzaneous has assured her that she is vital for democracy to be overthrown, but even she can sense the doubt in the tone of his voice.

Corzaneous is five foot and eight inches tall, slightly shorter than the typical man. He bears dark brown-grey hair and evil black eyes that can turn yellow whenever he is embracing the dark side. He is usually seen in his black hooded cloak.

Bio
Born as Keziah Everest, his family were avid supporters of the Empire and believed that democracy was meaningless. But soon after the Empire fell at the hands of the Alliance, the family abandoned the young boy in favour of surrending. Renaming himself Corzaneous, the boy struggled without them and soon came to learn of his Force-sensitive powers. He had idolised the likes of Darth Vader and the Emperor, so vowed revenge upon the Alliance. His talents were soon spotted by Darth Yarvitch, a Sith in hiding. Believing that he could destroy democracy single handedly, the Sith took Corzaneous as his apprentice and the two hid on quiet planets for many years.

Corzaneous remained by Yarvitch's side for forty years. The two gathered the remnants of the Empire together in the hope that they would crush their enemies, especially the New Jedi Order. The Order discovered Yarvitch's existence on Tatooine. To protect his apprentice, who was now trained in the ways of the Sith, he sacrificed his life in order to let Corzaneous escape. Without his master, Corzaneous took control of the Empire's remnants, who loyally followed him without question. Tormented and crippled by Yarvitch's murder, he decided to take revenge. Now that he was the last remaining Sith in the galaxy, Corzaneous quietly snuck into the royal residency of Naboo and kidnapped Princess Lucinda Alero. He intended for her to be his new apprentice, hoping to finish off what Yarvitch had started. Sensing how strong the Force was within her, she was perfect.

The six-year-old and Force-sensitive young princess was naive and, therefore, willingly trained under his leadership in the ways of the dark side. This allowed Corzaneous to finally achieve something once thought to be impossible some weeks ago.

Ten years have passed and his apprentice, now only known as Kaela, has finally embraced the dark side. Corzaneous senses that Kaela may become more powerful than even himself and Yarvitch combined. His attacks on the weaker planets have been successful so far, although it has alerted the New Jedi Order in particular. He does not care for them, believing that is now time to come out and use Kaela as a weapon that they will underestimate ...

Anyway, I have begun a template for my character, I will fill in the blanks as soon as I can find a good name and do enough research on the species I will be using.

Also Faith, I'm assuming you've read up on the latest series of Star Wars Novels?

Leocadia is a faithful member of the New Jedi Order. Even as a young and very recent Jedi Knight, she is ever learning, wanting to learn a lot about the galaxy. Leocadia has an overwhelming compassion to help those in need.

She is very modest, polite and selfless, and tries her best (and sometimes fails) to keep her emotions in check.

Appearance:
Due to being a Mirialan, Leocadia has yellow-green skin, as well as green colored eyes. She stands at 5'5". Leocadia has traditional Mirialan tattoos on her cheeks in triangular shapes, forming a rectangle from the sides of her nose to her long black hair.

As a member of the New Jedi Order, there was relatively no standardized uniform. Despite this, Leocadia wears a traditional Mirialan robe (similar to those worn by Luminara Unduli and Barriss Offee from the Clone Wars, Barriss's attire being an example shown here). These robes are brown in color and she does not like to wear the headdress.

History:
Leocadia was born on the frigid desert world of Mirial on the year 30 ABY, shortly after the Yuuzhan Vong War (26-29 ABY) As a child, she began exhibiting force powers when smugglers raided her home as a child. Being one of the few survivors, when the Jedi saved them, the Jedi discovered her force potential and took her to the Jedi Praxeum in Ossus for training, she was the first Mirialan Jedi since the Clone Wars.

She was trained in the ways of the Jedi through her master, who went on to serve the Jedi during the Second Galactic Civil War (40-41 ABY) Locadia's master helped shape her views on the Force, all the while scolding her to keep her emotions in check and not use her negative emotions, as they would facilitate a fall to the dark side.

In the end, she was made a Jedi Knight. Now Leocadia serves to help protect the galaxy from those who wish to bring harm to it.

I haven't read up on the latest series or whatnot, I only have knowledge of the films. But we'll only be referencing stuff here and there, so it can be accessible to those who don't possess that knowledge like myself. If need it be, I have someone I know who can inform me what went on during that duration of fifty years.

And I'll also add a useful link for those wanting to know more.

Okay, so you want a brief rundown... :hmmm:

The movies take place between 32BBY (Episode 1) and 4ABY (Episode 6). 50 years afterward would be 54ABY.

Here is, as far as I know, the most important details of what happened afterward. (Do keep in mind that it's a lot of details. Eventually I got fed up with it and postponed my Star Wars arr pee. Writing around it can be... Annoying. :wacky:)

The New Republic era
  • 22 ABY
    • Jacen and Jaina Solo join the Luke Skywalker's Jedi Praxeum on Yavin 4.
    • Their younger brother Anakin Solo joins the Junior Jedi Class of the Academy months later and befriends a young Human girl named Tahiri Veila. The two young trainees have several adventures including discovering the Golden Globe and the ancient Jedi Master Ikrit, accompanying their Melodie friend Lyric to her homeworld of Yavin 8 to undergo an important ceremony, visits to Dagobah to discover Anakin's future and the discovery of Kenobi's lightsaber and an ancient Jedi holocron at Bast Castle on Vjun. Anakin later returns to Coruscant where he attended school, developed his piloting skills, and studied under the careful tutelage of C-3PO.
    • Luke and Mara Jade Skywalker travel to the Unknown Regions where they join a Chiss/Empire of the Hand mission to locate the remains of the ill-fated Old Republic/Jedi expedition Outbound Flight. They discover it in an inaccessible region known as the Redoubt and also learn that the survivors of the Outbound Flight have founded a colony within the wreckage. This combined team also defeats a Vagaari attack.[70]
The New Jedi Order era
  • 35 ABY
    • Efforts to rebuild galactic civilization after the Yuuzhan Vong war continue, with many war-torn worlds still under reconstruction.
    • The Jedi, struggling to come to terms with a new role in the galaxy and a new philosophy on the Force are called upon to act as police and diplomats by the Galactic Alliance, despite the wishes of Luke Skywalker.
    • Luke Skywalker sees an image of his mother for the first time through R2-D2.
    • A mysterious alien race called the Killiks with a leader very strong in the Force, who are ancient enemies of the Chiss return, with some of the younger members of the Jedi interfering, and becoming part of their alien "Hive," physically and mentally joined to each other.
    • Voren Na'al publishes the New Essential Chronology.

Finally getting around to a profile after checking a few things over with FC here. Added a few items to the basic template. Sue me :p

Name: Davrok Orion,

Age:19 (in human years)

Gender: Male

Personality: A lover of all things loud and flashy, Davrok loves conflict and bloodshed.

Provided he himself is far enough away.

A sadistic, optimistic, and -most would say- disturbed individual, Davrok Orion seems to show up wherever there happens to be a fight, often sporting a bowl of whatever happens to be the local version of "popcorn". While he is quite capable of defending himself, he has been shown to detest fighting himself and will often defend himself with maximum force at the outset, preferring to end a battle quickly so he can get back to watching from safety.

Lightsaber Color: Two silver-white bladed lightsabers.

Force Abilities: Considered an absolute failure in nearly every discipline from basic mind-reading to healing trances, Davrok Orion excels in a single aspect of the force, and it has served him well: Telekinesis. Using his mind to keep his frail body moving from his earliest years, Davrok has developed and demonstrated unusually high proficiency in telekinesis. While other force-users may have to concentrate to move objects, Davrok seems to be able to shift and move things in the most complex of ways with ease. While such abilities make him quite adept at intimidation, he simply has to struggle that much harder in other areas. Furthermore, direct physical combat is something he avoids at all costs, as he then has to focus the majority of his telekinetic powers on himself to match his body's speed and stamina with his opponent's.

Other weapons Two crossbelts across his front and back each containing approximately ten small hold-out blasters. They don't have very many shots, but a sudden flurry of blaster shots coming from around one's body does tend to startle an enemy. Energy packs for the weapons are stored on a belt with his lightsabers.

Appearance: An unknown race, Davrok is a green-skinned alien with three red eyes (two high up where a human's forehead is and a third below them between where a human's eyes would be) and long black hair that trails down to his waist and is often kept in seven braids. As if his unusual eye placement wasn't enough to unnerve most people, the lower half of Davrok's face seems to narrow and pinch inward to the point of being skull-like; a feature that reveals his needle-like black fangs and gives many people who meet him the impression that he is constantly grinning. Despite his loose and billowing black robes, their fit and his general posture suggest a rather thin creature that is often slouched and physically weak.

"His earliest memories are a blur of blue, gray, brown divided sharply by flashes of color. Mostly red and blue."

Born to an unknown mother and father, the three-eyed alien who would eventually make something of a name for himself in the Holonetworks began life as a complete outcast. Abandoned by his parents as the freighter they were on was being taken over by mercenaries, the infant Davrok survived only by virtue of his tiny presence in the Force. As the mercenaries were driven off the ship in turn by the Jedi, he was picked up by a master and whisked away to Coruscant for immediate training.

"His earliest clear memories are as though watching himself walk while everyone else seemed to walk themselves."

The first thing the Jedi learned upon raising the small alien was that his "brain" had been slightly damaged in the scuffle on the freighter. As a species whose brain functions were spread through their entire body (as opposed to localized in one area as was the case with most species), he had been injured while being dropped and rolled as a baby. His developing nerve connections thus disrupted, he was not as strong as he should have been. It would be an obstacle in training but for his own force talents, which had begun manifesting early to compensate. That mental process intact and flourishing with the aid of the Force, he began to develop in a way most unusual for a Jedi.

"He nearly cut his own arms off with a training lightsaber. He can't heal a papercut in half an hour the way most younglings his age can. He can however, tilt his head to the side and make Master Durron fly headfirst into the ceiling."

It was his physical condition, being far weaker than anyone else his age, that turned out to provide the real boost for the young Jedi. Using the Force to help move something as complex as his own body at the same time as using it for basic tasks let him develop his talent for telekinesis. He still couldn't heal as rapidly as the others, and "mind tricks" were only possible while sitting down and not focusing any of the Force on his own body. His training was awkward, but for a time it worked.

For a time.

"What should have been realized sooner was not. His entire development has been counter-intuitive to the most basic philosophies of the Light and Dark."

For all his growing skill, Davrok's training had missed one crucial point. The light side of the Force was to work with that mystical energy field, to let it direct one's actions. The dark side simply used the Force as a tool; something to be controlled. While he had hardly been using it for cruelty or evil, Davrok had been using the force as a tool and a crutch since he began training, and that unintentional method of use was beginning to show in more ways than one. His style of combat was more aggressive than anyone else's, he seemed impatient and preferred to finish lessons and tasks on his own time, and as he grew, every use and manipulation of the force screamed as though it were being wrenched, bent, and deliberately contorted to his will.

"In the old days, the Jedi Council kept busts of the Twenty Jedi who had left the Order. Curiously, they numbered only twenty with Dooku and twenty-one with Anakin. With the number of Jedi who left afterwards, between the likes of Brakiss and Jacen, I suppose their numbers would have increased. Let us add Davrok Orion to their number."

While it was the Jedi Council that realized their student's atypical style of training, it was Davrok himself who seemingly jumped the blaster and departed Ossus in the dead of night. For reasons yet unknown -though many suspected out of resentment- he made a point to snap the landing struts of every craft in the main landing bay; breaking each strut one by one before departing in a stolen Series 24 Skipray. The vehicle selection suited him; as it typically required a crew of at least five. Davrok however, was able to easily relax his frail body in the pilot's chair and use the Force to manipulate the controls and computer systems that would have required more people onboard.

"He went underground after that. I suppose whenever someone flees somewhere, the first thing they do is disappear for a while. Do they use that time to reflect on their choices? Do they set up various hiding places across the galaxy? Who knows."

It was some number of months later that Davrok reappeared just in time to sabotage a Holonet broadcast; an event which would have been perfectly unremarkable had he not used the brief seconds of screentime to inform the galaxy that "Natasi Daala is a karking Imperial whore". Despite the rudeness and public nature of the announcement, little attention was paid him. The situation between the Jedi and Daala was too contentious and riveting to allow for any focus on a rogue Jedi who wasn't busy going crazy. The greatest amount of attention he received was an offhand comment made by Kenth Hamner.

"He's crazy, but not psychotic. Ignore him and he'll probably go away. Can we please get back to the issue at hand now?"

Despite sticking to the outer rim for the past couple of years however, Davrok has made it quite clear that he's not leaving the Galaxy alone.

It may be wise to also add in to the template what style of lightsaber combat the Jedi/Sith uses. There are about 7 in all, and it's actually very interesting. :hmmm:

They are as follows for those who are interested.

  • Form I: Shii-Cho "Way of the Sarlacc" or "Determination Form"
    • Form I is the most basic of the seven forms and is learned by every Jedi Youngling. Shii-Cho includes the fundamental elements of all the lightsaber forms, including the basic attack, parry, body target zones, and practice drills called velocities.
  • Form II: Makashi "Way of the Ysalamir" or "Contention Form"
    • Form II represents the ultimate refinement of lightsaber-to-lightsaber combat. Masters of Makashi develop unique offenses and defenses and train studiously against having their sabers taken or damaged.
  • Form III: Soresu "Way of the Mynock" or "Resilience Form"
    • Form III was first developed in response to the advancement of blaster technology in the galaxy. Soresu's emphasis on tight, efficient movements that expose very minimal target areas make it the most defensive and passive of the seven forms.
  • Form IV: Ataru "Way of the Hawk-Bat" or "Aggression Form"
    • Form IV is the most acrobatic of all the forms and requires a Jedi to first master the Force Run, Jump, and Spin abilities. By incorporating all the Force powers that allow a Jedi to exceed standard norms of physical abilities, Jedi may resemble nothing less than a blur when using this style.
  • Form V: Shien / Djem So "Way of the Krayt Dragon" or "Perseverance Form"
    • Form V was also created in response to the advancement and frequency of blaster use in the galaxy. Unlike the strictly defensive style Soresu, Shien exploits the ability of a lightsaber to block blaster bolts and deflect them back at an opponent in a counter-attack maneuver. In a duel, the Djem So variation of this form, which focused on strength, would be used.
  • Form VI: Niman "Way of the Rancor" or "Moderation Form"
    • Form VI seeks to balance the emphases of forms I through V. Niman allows a Jedi to fight with harmony and justice without having to resort to powerful, aggressive movements or overt emotion.
  • Form VII: Juyo / Vaapad "Way of the Vornskr" or "Ferocity Form"
    • Juyo instead employs bold, direct movements, more open and kinetic than form V, but not so elaborate as the acrobatic form Ataru. Juyo requires greater energy and intensity out of the practitioner because his focus is wielded more broadly and draws upon from a deeper well of emotion; while the outward bearing of a Form VII practitioner is one of calm, the inner pressure verges on explosive. It was also considered to be the most dangerous in regard to falling to the Dark Side, because it required a certain amount of enjoyment in the fight from the person experiencing it.

Bio: Born and raised on tattooine Stephen had an average childhood, living on his home world all of his life, Stephen could always do things that other children of his age couldn't, it was when he was 15 that he realized that this was a talent that he only shared with the jedi, he could use the force.

it was shortly after his life altering realization that Stephen met a jedi who lived on tattooine, this man took Stephen in as his apprentice and taught him to use the force and harness his powers, after 3 years of Training, Stephen received his lightsaber, one that his master said was one of a kind, the blade was inverted, Stephen was a natural when it came to wielding it, and received training to wield it like a master.

Personality:
Spartacus is a rather complex individual. Her rather pessimistic and somewhat cynical view on people make her appear dark, unapproachable and unsociable. However, these assumptions are wrong. While she is quiet and a deep thinker, Spartacus is not unapproachable, preferring some kind of companionship. She has tried to approach others, but her shy nature makes this impossible. That, and the fact that she has an uncanny ability to approach people like a ghost doesnt help her dark image.

Her negative outlook and her hard life is what leads her into the light, rather than the dark as most people think she would be. Her views ultimately lead her to dedicate herself in protecting those that may fall victim to the worse of these greed as well as doing the best to keep the peace of the galaxy in order to help prevent others from experiencing what she felt. In a sense, she is a misunderstood person due to exterior appearance.

Lightsaber Colour:
A red and a blue lightsabers in capable of turning into short tonfas. The small handles are hidden inside the saber and pop out when a button is depressed, making it usable as a normal saber or as a tonfa.

When in tonfa form, it is able to be held like a normal saber with the hand wrapped around the middle with the tonfa protrusion between her index and middle fingers as well as held like a tonfa. Both ends emit a saber with the longer end being the main and the shorter end on the other side of the tonfa. Often, she opt to use one with one end for lesser matter where one will suffice. However, if the situation calls for it, both, with one being an off hand defensive one with just the short end active will be used before going full out with both ends of both saber used. She is skilled in both single and dual wield, overcoming the power issue of dual wield.

Appearance:
Spartacus appears oriental as well as being slight and rather short at 157cm. Her eyes are large, slanted and chocolate brown in colour with night black hair. Her hair is pulled into a top left ponytail with a right swinging front fringe. Like all Jedi, Spartacus is trained since a young age, hence she does have muscles that lie underneath her slim and petite frame.

Her clothing also contribute to how her peers negative impression on her. Spartacus wears a good deal of black, as opposed to the brown and white of most Jedi robes. Her main dress is a long black one piece sleeveless dress that has a high collar around her neck with golden edging. It then hugs down to her waist, with a silver design on her chest, before splitting into four separate pieces down to her ankles. The slits at the side, front and back are rather wide, revealing her legs and the red lining of the dress. The tip of each strip is pointed and also trimmed gold. Under her dress, she wears a short pair of white shorts followed by a pair of thigh high white boots. Slanted across her waist from right to left is her red belt that holds her saber and other small stuff. Her arms are covered from bicep to wrist and top of hand with a black arm cover, held up with a red belt at the top with small, black gloves underneath. Its borders are similarly trimmed gold.

Strangely, on her left arm, she wears an additional sleeve cover. It starts at the same area as the arm cover underneath connected to her dress via thin Z stitching wioth black thread. It is very loose, almost cloak like. It is smaller at the bicep before opening up widely at the wrist, going down to her knuckles. On her right waist, clipped onto her belt is a black side skirt that covers from the middle of her belt around her right side and to the middle of the back, leaving the left uncovered. This reaches down to her ankles. To top it off, her Jedi cloak is black.

Bio:
Spartacus lived a hard life down in the lower areas of Coruscant, going through harsh times despite the relative peace of recent times. Civil crime still exist within the darker areas of the city. In order to avoid unwanted attention, Spartacus' parents raised her as a male, giving her a male name and a secretive female name. Life continued regardless, but when her parents were murdered in a robbery, Spartacus fled in order to escape from being sold off to the black markets. As a very small child, it was even more difficult to live in the slums and it did not take long before she drew attention.

It was then when she began exhibiting her powers. Sudden outbursts of these often saved her from capture or worse. These spikes caught the attention of a Jedi Master, who sensed these recent spikes in the force nearby. Curious, he came to investigate, only to feel another spike in which led him to find a small cowering child with two knocked out bruisers nearby. Feeling the potential to become a great Jedi, the master took in Spartacus and managed to get permission to allow Spartacus to be trained as a Jedi.

Seeing a new life, Spartacus dedicated her entire being into training to be the best Jedi possible in order to give back to the Order for giving her a second chance. She also wished to give others a similar chance by protecting and expanding the peace that had been established. True to her master's feeling, Spartacus grew to become a great Jedi, surging on to becoming a widely recognised Jedi, though for more reasons than just her exceptional skills.
