Basically, I was looking over the sarcasm thread a while back and I saw that there were a number of people who disapproved of sarcasm if it went too far, or just didn't like it as a whole.

So basically I started wondering what's your kind of humor, whether it's sarcasm, physical humor, etc. Is it a requirement that your friends like your sense of humor, or do they have to make you laugh etc?

Personally, sarcasm and wit etc do amuse me. I don't really have a limited genre of wit that makes me laugh. Dirty, crude jokes and physical humor are just as likely to make me laugh as carefully crafted sarcasm and wit.

I'm also someone who tends to laugh at the misfortunes of others. :ffs: Not severe stuff, but I've been known to laugh when a little old lady falls in the street, or when an unfortunately positioned kid gets a football to the balls/face. >.>

Being the generally humorous person I am, I tend to like most kinds of humor. As most of you know, pervy humor works very much for me. Dry humor and deadpan humor are usually the ones that make me laugh the most these days. And the Jim Carrey-type of physical humor is hysterical. Ace Ventura, enough said!

I tend to use sarcasm and deadpan humor quite a bit myself. Though I have encountered a few people in my day that seriously have no idea how to take my jokes. They just look at me like I have 5 heads. Sometimes they come around to finally understanding me, but some don't. :( And pervy humor works like a charm with the right crowd. Unfortunatly, not everyone is ready for the crudeness that I bring to the table. :lew:

I think I have a fairly dark and perhaps nasty sense of humour, I people being made fun of amuses me, perhaps I'm a terrible person, perhaps not, I couldn't care less. I enjoy slapstick when it's done well, but it so rarely is. I don't mind the odd dirty joke, so long as it isn't juvenile, most of the innuendo that happens in the sb just really bores me, I might have found it funny when I was 12 but not any more.
I'm also fairly pretentious, so jokes that reference high culture, I normally quite like, provided they aren't too gratuitous.
But what I like most of all are surreal jokes, or ones in the worst possible taste. I like jokes about the holocaust, or jokes about dead babies, though the latter aren't jokes as such.

I dont really know what my sense of humour is. Il laugh at things that socially your not meant to laugh at. Who gives a shit its funny when tragic things happen. I hate stupid comedy. Things like austin powers and and beerfest etc, its just crap and stupid. Jim carrey films bug me but i like jim carrey.
I like when comedians offend people. I hate all the nicey nice bullshit which seems to be 99.9% of all standup today. If your not gunna take the piss out of religion and ethnic races then im not listenin. Save yer tv dinner jokes.

Putting this out there aswell. Family guy is the worst show ever. Its not funny at all. Its not clever and it isnt dumb funny.

Itl also take a lot to offend me and i mean ALOT. So if you sucseed at doing then then your quite obviously a total fucking bastard.

My kind of humour is the kind where lots of people end up dead at the party and everybody laughs about it because I make them. On a serious note, HUMOUR DENIED. NO FUNNIES HERE. I don't 'do' humour. Nor humor, if you want it in American. Don't laugh when I'm in the room, I'm allergic to it.

I tend to be humorous whenever it hits me. It's more in real life than online if anything, since sometimes (or so I've had to painfully learn in the past) humour doesn't work on the internet and people can get the wrong end of the stick. But alas, I'll also laugh at some things that shouldn't really make me laugh at times. xD

Hmmm... my sense of humor.... I am not too sure. I like to think I have a good sense of humor. My dad was always joking and I learn't from him that its ok to have a laugh at anything and everything.
I am also Australian and we like to 'take the piss' out of everything and everyone!!

I do have my limits though. I do not like humor when it's hurting someone's feelings really badly. Like calling someone fat and laughing at them when they are fat etc.

I do like dark humor though.. like someone mentioned above, dead baby jokes are pretty hilarious!!
Witty sarcasm is awesome and I appreciate it the most but nasty narky sarcasm is not good in my books.

I like dry wit. And the occasional slap-stick gag makes me laugh. I've been told though that I've a rather dark sense of humor. I don't really think so. I openly laugh at people's hardships because when life's coming down on you, sometimes all you can do is to chuckle. I also make fun of people alot, but to be perfectly fair I make fun of myself more than anyone else. I do have lines that I don't want to cross. I never make fun of mass death or serious illnesses. But that doesn't mean that I care if I cross someone else's line.

Hm. I'm not the extroverted type, probably not enough like most of the extroverted people I know, who seems to laugh at the silliest of things.

I like clever humor. Meaning intelligent jokes. Like dry wit, I guess, though I'm not exactly sure if that's what. So long there's something funny and is the sort that comes after some deeper than average level of thinking... Yep. That forces a good ole laughter out of me.

most of the innuendo that happens in the sb just really bores me, I might have found it funny when I was 12 but not any more.

I'm glad someone is saying this. Perhaps people will read and take note. But I digress.

My own sense of humor tends to be extremely sarcastic and deadpan. I was raised in a fairly sarcastic household, so I learned to deal with it and dish it out in turn. I also have a soft spot for dark, irreverent humor (in the vein of dead baby jokes, etc).

My main philosophy on humor is that it's just jokes...too many people take life way too seriously and act all high and mighty when a dirty/uncouth/sarcastic joke is told. Get off your high horse and enjoy a laugh.

If you were to ask me I'd say my sense of humor is on par with Freya. Basically I think I'm kinda boring. But everybody I meet I always manage to make laugh. I guess I'm doing something right.

I like sarcasm. Its hilarious! Though I'm kind of slow when it comes to jokes. It'll take a minute to register in my mind, but when I get it I usually won't stop laughing.

Oh god, I'll laugh at nearly ANYTHING! :lew: I have an over-active funny box inside me so I will laugh at things longer than they should be laughed at and I will laugh at things that hardly anyone else finds funny...
I also have a dry sense of humor. Which is pretty rare for other people to get/understand these days it seems :sir:
