Yeah....screamer traps, you've all seen them right?
You know...the whole...pleasant and or silent setting before the terrible scream and scary image of a zombie or anything of the sort. w/e.
Popular one being the maze game; you know don't touch the walls or you get the girl form the Exorcist?
Ya know...even if you manage to get through the game, you'll see her, anyways. So you never win >___>;;

Any experiences ya wanna share about these oh so horrible pranks? XD
 
frankly I hate those stupid traps, but I can spot them much easier than I used to

I basically glance over the comments before watching any suspicious video these days. Tends to catch just about all of them.
 
Oh god yes. I hate 'em, too; the ones I hate the most are the one that ain't on youtube.
Makes it worse when people can't leave comments so you find out the hard way.
Like the one over at AlbinoBlackSheep.
 
Yeah, I hate these things, mainly because I absolutely cannot stand the shock they induce. I've become fairly skilled in detecting them, though, so they're not much of a problem anymore. Still, I'm probably going to fall victim to one at some point. I live in fear of that day.
 
I hate them too. I remember one I was supposed to look for a ghost in a picture and was told to turn the volume all the way up for sound effects. (There were no sound effects just the aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!)

Another one, I was supposed to find Waldo in a picture. He wasn't anywhere in the picture.
 
The funniest ones are the ones that make you look closer and closer at the screen before it happens.

Thankfully I've only run into a few of these things, the most common one I've come across is the one which has the car driving in the hills. I've actually made a few dodgey ones, one of which I included in a powerpoint presentation which I forgot about until it went off.
 
I've gotten to the point where I can watch the car one and not even flinch during the screaming part. In fact, I kind of laugh at it now.

I screamed really hard when I played that because my head was inches to the screen and I was really doing my best to get to the end of the maze. I WAS TOLD IT WAS GOING TO BE A FUN GAME:rage:

I always fall for those. There was also this one that's been circling in Tumblr, I saw it in my Tumblr Dashboard and it said 'When you see it you'll shit bricks'. So I tried looking for whatever it is and I wish I hadn't. D:

I am WAAAY too jumpy to handle these well. I scream even when I rewatch them -- the suddenness is just too much! I've seen all the ones you guys have mentioned, too. They're so popular.
 
I've only seen the ones with the idyllic countryside scene and then suddenly the zombie face pops up and screams into my ear drums. I was about 14 when I first saw it. Hey, find the ghost, cool!, I thought when I clicked on it. I also turned the volume up and I remember being all alone in my room during winter (it got dark by 5pm). The bastard popped up and I literally fell against the wall in horror - absolutely screaming my head off.

Ever since, I wanted to be tougher and be less jumpy and squeamish. So I started to gaze at the video over and over again until I could work out exactly when the handsome chap pops up. If I was to watch it again now, I know I'll still jump slightly despite knowing it will happen.

I remember one time, I had a sleepover with two of my friends and two of us were on the laptop while our other friend was trying to sleep. We watched something titled along the lines of "Real Ghost Footage" for the hell of it, and then one of those zombie faces popped out. We ended up dropping the laptop on our friend. XD

I don't really watch them nowadays, I can usually spot them quickly. I usually glance over the comments before watching a video with a dodgy title.

Though I do remember the one with the maze. My friend asked me to do it for her, said she couldn't get it right. So I did it, and she recorded me freaking out when the face came up. -.-

Speaking of the "When you see it you'll shit bricks" photos, I still love doing those. I typically jump when I find it, but it's not nearly as bad as the videos.

AHAHAHA. That one's great. I thought I couldn't find it the first time around, so I closed it, but when I went back I jumped. XD

Oh God, those videos used to do the rounds at Secondary School. I haven't thought about them for years xD

The one that always used to freak me out was on a website, not youtube, where it was "look at this optical illusion" and it was a really interesting optical illusion, so you'd be staring at it, trying to figure it out, when a bloody zombie popped up and shrieked.

It worked every time -__-
